The goblin remains and the princess will die,
the right road to Faerie, is the blink of an eye...

Angela managed to sense Abel's presence before he reached her but she wasn't able to move out of his reach before he grabbed and started fussing over her. She stared up at him. What...was he doing? He had never been like this when they were together. The few times she'd gotten hurt, he had barely showed any worry at all and mostly acted like it was an annoyance. Now he was fretting over her like her bloody father.

Why? What did he want from her? Why was he so desperate to get her back that he acted like he cared?

She put her hands between his arms and forcefully pushed his hands away from her face. "I hurt all over," she said. "Including my back. Though I don't know why you care since you stood by twice while your friends nearly killed me. So this is nothing." She stepped away from him, a little nervously, keeping her eyes locked on his. First the marriage thing, then the infirmary, now this. She didn't understand. She really didn't. "Why are you doing this?" she asked, finally, her voice breaking. "Why do you keep acting like you care?"

Angela mentally kicked herself. No. She was not going to cry and act like some weak female. She wasn't weak. She was strong. And he...he did not have any power over her any more.

Gad's face paled as he watched the friendly cigarette fall to the ground and get squished by a shoe. He.. he didn't like the cigarette, no, it was dangerous, smelled bad, and everything could burst into flames if the wrong person had it, but it didn't deserve to be destroyed in such a manner! He knelt to the ground and waited for the man's foot to lift before scoopi- Oh, God, it looked really, really, really dirty and gross and.. he should use a baggy for this. He stood back up and decided that this should be done at a later time, when he didn't have the scary man threatening to squish him like he did the cigarette.

He made a face at the man, “...A-are there people who bite?” It was his biggest concern out of what the man had said! “...I-Is it people like them?” He asked again as he pointed off to a young girl and a man who.. didn't seem to be in the friendliest of positions. The girl looked hurt or maybe mad? He couldn't tell, but he did recognize that white hair and height as the nice girl who Sani seemed to know. Was she alright? “...S-should.. should we, ah, help? She's a friend; a n-nice friend, a-and he.. he looks..” He couldn't judge! But, he.. did look scary.

Was... this man okay? Did... he need to be sent to an asylum because Cyrus knew one that was somewhat nearby. Obviously, Cyrus had no clue what he was fretting about, and he made no motion to hide the fact that he was weirded out by this. "Of course, there are?" He answered, furrowing his brows in confusion. This had to be a trick question.

Well, he didn't get the chance to ask before this man gestured over to a couple. Oh, that... didn't look good, but it wasn't as if Cyrus could just go straight up to them and help out. No matter how much he wanted to. After all, for all he knew, this could lead to a very... no-no situation. Wait! He got it. This was clearly for blackmail purposes. There. Perfect. Everything was going to be in his favor now. "Do ya need to ask? C'mon. Let's go." He remarked before marching over to the two.

"Hey, you two! What are ya doing over there?"

"Just fear me,
Love me,
Do as I say
and I will be your slave..."

Abel locked his eyes on Angela's.. All he wanted to do right now is talk to her.. To comfort her.. But he's not in the mood to argue with Angela.. Instead, he dropped his head and sighed.. "I'm.. sorry.." Why was that its the only words he could tell?

Abel couldn't just let her go?.. "Angela------" He was cut off when two male approached them.. He huffed why was that they were always being interrupted over and over again?

He couldn't just do nothing, reaching for his pocket.. His handkerchief and brought it to Angela.. Though he wasn't sure if there were tears.. Looking at her with his brows creased.. "I wish I could be able to be with you..." He whispered, for only Angela could hear..

Staring back over the two.. "We were just talking.. regarding our History class tomorrow.. She's my student.." Focusing back to Angela.. "We will be having our class once more in the museum.. Just... to let you know.."

Sadly, he turn away and heads back inside the building..

"...Demon or not.. I will be yours forever.."

((Sorry Abel isn't in the mood for arguments and other confrontations unless its Angela >.< So I just kick him back to school xD))

Angela sighed, leaning back against her tree. They had been interrupted by two others--the tall, timid man that had been with Sani and a red haired fellow she didn't know. Abel handed her a handkerchief (which she wanted to shove down his throat because she wasn't crying, dammit!) and whispered something she almost didn't hear, but caused the determined look on her face to falter slightly as he turned and walked away, spouting a lie about discussing history.

And....the museum!? Gah! She didn't want to go there again! Pfft. Last time she went there she had nearly been strangled by a mummy, and had acquired a weird stalker...who was the mummy that nearly strangled her. She watched Abel's retreating back for a moment, before turning to Gad and Cyrus. "It's alright," she told them. "It was nothing. That was just..."

Maybe she should skip history today. The only reason she had even stated in the class was because she wanted to keep an eye on him. She just needed to...she needed to somehow rebuild the walls between her and Abel. She needed to stay focused on finding out about him and his allies so she could stop what they were doing.

She needed to not get distracted by these stupid residual feelings or his confusing behavior. Right. She wouldn't falter again. She stood straighter and lifted her chin. "That was nothing. I'm fine. He was just concerned because I ended up in the infirmary earlier after an accident and he wanted to be sure I could make it to class. Nothing to worry about."

Gad followed hesitantly after the friendly man who liked other men, being careful not to get involved in the probable violence; the girl looked hurt! And she was crying! Gad wasn't entirely sure what he was supposed to do in that sort of situation – well, he knew it had to do with touching, but he didn't like to touch, not unless he had to – but didn't he have to right then? He clasped his hands nervously together as he listened to what the redhead had to say, feeling very relieved when the taller, scary man had walked off, leaving the nice girl alone.

It didn't take long for her to perk up – well, if that was what one wanted to call 'perking up', but she didn't seem hurt and she did tell them that she was fine. He wasn't going to argue with her even if she didn't look very fine. So, he simply nodded at her and stepped back some, keeping himself behind the redhead just in case it turned out she didn't like him interrupting her. Maybe the tall man hadn't been the one to hurt her? Ahh, he really didn't need to be wondering about this right now! He should be working! And giving the man who he had scared before his gift! Which.. wasn't with him, was it?

"Alright, I have class so, um, thanks for helping!" Angela called, waving at the two teachers as she broke into a sprint toward the school. Right. History.

She could do this.

She glanced over her shoulder and waved one more time at Gad specifically because he looked worried, before she sprinted to the school and stopped just inside the door to double over in pain and catch her breath. Ugh. She was definitely not okay. She was going to go buy an entire drugstore worth of painkillers after class.

Now that she didn't have a concerned audience, she limped the rest of the way to history, mostly focusing on not walking like an old lady...

Cyrus wasn't buying this, but hey, it wasn't like he could really do anything about it. After all, what kind of teacher would actually want to spend time with their student outside of class? Ugh, they were all crazy brats that were free to stay as far away from him as possible. Still, they were already off before he could say anything, and now he was just left with this creepy giant. "So, er, what now?" He blandly asked. Hey, this interrupting thing was this guy's idea in the first place.

And then the girl was gone. Gad watched as she ran off, creasing his brow with worry, but he soon felt relief when she stopped to wave at him. ..Well.. If she could run all that way and not look hurt, he guessed she wasn't as bad as she looked. Still, he would have to talk to the doctor about her later – just to make sure that looking like that wasn't something to be worried about.. For now, he had to give his attention to the much nicer man beside him. He was scary at first and he breathed smoke, but! He had scared away that even scarier man! Which made him safe! Safe enough that Gad trusted he could protect him while he got his his present.

He clutched the edge of his shirt and attempted a smile at the shorter, “..I-I.. C-can y-you – ah.. um.. Can y-you g-go to the dorm? For the t-teachers.” He turned slightly in the direction of the dorms and fiddled with his fingers. He didn't want to make the guy believe he was ordering him around! But, he really.. really would feel safer if he went in first, just so he could scare away the scarier teachers long enough for Gad to give him his present!

Cyrus narrowed his eyes in suspicion. How could he not be? Being asked to go to the dorms was rather awkward, especially if it was from this man. Plus, his baseball bat was still in his classroom in case anything might happen. "Is... there a reason as to why ya want me to go there?" He asked, refusing to budge unless a very good reason could convince him otherwise.

Oh, of course he wanted to know why! Gad felt stupid for not telling him right away! But, talking wasn't something he enjoyed very much; it was difficult to get his words out to where others could understand it.. Still, that wasn't an excuse to inconvenience someone else, especially when they had just saved a girl and Gad from certain death! He silently scolded himself as he replied, keeping his eyes to the ground.

..B-because, the.. people there a-are scary and.. and if you c-could.. S-scare them l-like you scared the man before, th-then, ah, uh.. I c-can give you..” He hesitated for a moment, afraid the man would reject the offer if only because a gift from Gad would probably be dumb or unworthy of him. But, he really, really wanted to give him a present – something to show he appreciated his effort! And it would be wrong not to explain when the man had asked him to! He swallowed, “..a r-reward?

The stuttering was killing his ears. If only this guy could just go straight to the point, then he could get through this so much easier. Well, either way, he was still going to reject the offer--- Reward? He did say reward right? He had no clue why he was in need of them since... he didn't believe he was really all that scary. After all, his third period class had no problem with him., but hey, rewards were perfectly welcomed in his eyes. After all, they did mean money right? Even if it was just a gift, he could sell it later on too. "Oh, sure. Let's head to the dorms then." He nodded, already making his way over there.

"Ah, I'm Cyrus by the way. You?"

Oh! Oh, happy day! Gad smiled easier as he saw the man was already walking to the dorms, scurrying up behind him eagerly. The outside was getting too scary for him anyway; he didn't like it when it got dark! The shadows got bigger and the outside was harder to see.. He gnawed at his lip for a second until he realized how dangerous it was to do that; he could cut himself open and leave himself defenseless from all the horrible diseases out there!

He twiddled his fingers instead and replied to the man with a genuine, “T-thank.. you.” He had made such a good friend today! He would have to tell Chloe all about his new best friend – but, first, they had to get greetings done. “A-ah, I'm.. Gad. T-the groundskeeper.” Just in case he wanted to call him by his job rather than his name – 'Gad' wasn't as pretty or nice as 'Cyrus' was, after all.

Penelope plopped down underneath her favorite tree near the entrance to the school. She knew it was her favorite tree due to the scorch marks and slightly peeling bark that were the remnants of where a mechanical bird had nearly taken her head off. She sighed. She was beginning to make a regular habit of coming here on the weekends... She hadn't seen any of her friends in what felt like eons. She was especially beginning to miss Tshila. The cheerful Djinn always seemed to make Penelope feel better... no matter what her current gender was. Oh well. She probably had better things to do than hang around with such an awkward girl... kid like Penelope anyways. She closed her eyes and leaned back, letting the back of her head touch the trunk of the tree as her body relaxed. She was feeling depressed... and sleepy. Most likely depressed due to the sleepiness, or the impending detention that was now, thanks to her idiot sometimes brother, hanging over her head. She hadn't slept well the previous night either, so sleep was sounding really good at that point...

Her last thought before drifting to sleep was that she seemed to be making a habit of sleeping here too...

If you look like a pirate,

Gray was on his way into the school to see Chloe when he stumbled over (nearly literally) the girl sleeping under the tree. Normally it would not have been a big deal but, honestly, only a fool or a newcomer would think it was safe to sleep under a tree at Rosentale Academy. Gray, however, knew better. Besides, it was still a bit chilly. Spring wasn't quite heading into summer yet and there was still a bit of winter's chill on the air.

He sighed slightly, deciding he'd put off the visit to Chloe for the time being. Instead, he pulled his jacket off, covered the girl, and carefully picked her up, trying not to wake her. He'd just deliver her to the girl's dorm and let her know it wasn't wise to lurk around alone in this place.

"Up you go," he said softly, lifting her into his arms. He started toward the girl's dorm, shaking his head slightly. Honestly. The students in this place...
