Skutz sighed, "This thing is bigger than I thought..." She quickly shook off her problems as she took another drink of Vii's drinks. "Finally I'm getting a buzz." Skutz looked a the newcomer, David, and stared, "it's not worth the trouble..." She proceeded to take a seat in the secluded area of the tavern to think. "I wonder how Emma is faring."

Question stared at the place where Emma had been mere moments before, sipping his beer. He looked around the tavern, as if expecting a killer chicken to burst through the door. "You know, I thought that after being possessed by a demonic rubber ducky that I'd be used to this sort of stuff."

"I don't think I'll ever get used to this stuff." Vii said, shaking her head and turning in her seat. Offering the pipe to the mysterious Dr. Question, Vii asked, in a child-like tone "Do you know why people are changing genders?"

"Well, the Battledome is a construct of great wonder. It can already make those who die within its boundaries come back to life. Maybe it decided that the audience needed a little fan-service." That was Question's best guess.

A beeping sound came from Question's coat pocket. He pulled out a small pager and sighed. "Damn dimensional gateway... One little power surge and the fabric of reality is in danger..." He muttered as he left the tavern.

"Oh no." She gasped.
Vii had been spending a little more time in the Battledome lately, which translated to more exposure in her logical mind.
"Oh no." she cried as she hopped off the stool and began pacing in the short span.
During the course of her strides she prayed to whomever would listen to a vampire's prayer that the tingling she felt was just from the herbs.

Skutz looked up and saw a frantic Vii pacing back and forth, "hey, if you keep worrying about it, you'll be next." She got up and went over to Vii, "not really, but worrying about it will do you no good, except make you more vulnerable. Barkeep, an OJ over here please." Skutz took a sip of her OJ and sighed, "keep positive, live for the moment, yadda yadda yadda."

Snorting at her remark Vii stopped pacing and resumed her seat next to her husband who had long since passed out. Poor Day lover, she thought with the slightest tinge of remorse.
"At least I still have the day in the GRE Training dimension." She blurted out in an inebriated sort of way. Covering her mouth realizing that she'd voiced her thoughts instead of just thinking them she looked at Skutz the girl and smiled before placing her head on the table in front of her, eyes shut tightly.
"Oh I don't feel so perfect at the moment..." She mumbled into the distressed surface of the wood.

"Are you ok Vii?" Skutz was kinda worried for Vii.

As if something smelled bad, tasted bad and was about to return from whence it came all at one moment, Vii jumped up and ran to her room. After a scream and a few loud violent thuds She returned, wearing what she could piece together of Gallon's left over armor and some of her favorite items. Adding the gas mask and hat and calling it her Halloween costume was a perfect cover for her disguise and giggling in a voice much deeper than before she returned to the tavern. She still had her vampiric charm and coordination, but it was honestly awkward as she tried to return to her usual booth next to her slumbering husband.
"Oh yeah, I'm fine" she said through sad eyes and the masks apparatus.

Remus strolled into the bar, however he was without his guards today. He looked around. The bar was empty and quiet. Remus shrugged and sat down at the bar and waited to see if anyone would show up.

From outside the tavern, a careful listener would detect the sound of two voices outside the door.

"You were hurt, what did you expect me to do?", hissed a low, female voice.

"Stay where you were and be sensible!", came an obviously British male tone.

"I was being sensi-"

"You were not. You do not need to be putting yourself in danger over every minor injury."

"It was more than minor! I felt your pain from miles away, you're still hurting!"

"The wound will heal." With that, there was a sense of finality, as if the male speaker had ceased to be present.

Emma entered the tavern with a heavy heart, blinking back tears.

Remus thought he could hear somebody talking outside, but he wasn't sure. Remus smiled and waved when Emma entered, but his smile faded when he noticed that she had a look of distress about her.

"Emma? Are you alright?" he asked, pulling out a chair for her.

"I'm fine, but my fool of a husband won't be if he keeps-" She swallowed her words, the memory of the wound flashing before her eyes.

A savage gash across his chest from a blade enchanted specifically for that purpose, bleeding heavily even as she pressed her hands to it with a healing spell at the ready.

She could still feel his blood on her hands even though it was long since gone.

Remus nodded to Emma, a look of concerned attention in his eyes.

"It's alright Emma. You can tell me whats wrong."

"He's gotten himself injured, it's never happened before, and-and...I know he can take care of himself but I've never seen him bleed like that before..."

At this point, nobody would have known that the enchantress before Remus had faced more battles than most ever had, beaten foes most could only dream of.

She was a woman scared for the life of her love, and helpless to do anything about it. Nothing more, nothing less.
