"I've been through worse," Skutz replied, dusting herself off. "Even in a female body, I still have my stamina, strength? Not so much...." She was embarrassed at that fact.

Vii flashed an apologetic look at Zach.
"Is it an epidemic?" She blurted out.
Shrugging the vampire took a seat at the edge of a stool near the infected.

Eva had calmed down some and stopped playing with her head tail so much. David ordered her a glass of milk and a beer for himself.
David took a drink of his beer and then another drag on his cigarette.
"You really need to stop smoking and drinking so much, David." Eva said, slightly disgusted at his habits. "You could use a shower, too."
"I cleaned myself yesterday." David replied.
"All you did was cover yourself in smoke and deodorant!" Eva wrinkled her nose.
"God...you're starting to sound like my dad." David snorted.

"An epidemic?" Zach looked at Vii with a confused expression. "No, I don't think so. Skutz has a Fate problem and I... died. Sorta."
She looked away nervously for a second then remembered that everyone has some sort of secret and his, hers, wasn't really that much of a secret anyway.
"I'm a phoenix," Zach explained. "You know, painful death and fiery rebirth and whatnot? Well I guess something went weird with the rebirth process and I turned out like this. I think."

Question lifted an eyebrow as he heard Zach talk. "Been there. Though, the only weird part was being a teenager when I turned back into a human." He looked over at the bounty hunter bickering with his alien friend. He glanced at Emma, wondering why she was acting like he was a serious threat.
"Bartender, another beer."

"So what you are saying is I can't catch it and wake up one night as a dude?" Vii grinned at Zach. She was a cute girl, indeed. Her clothes were a bit loose hanging compared to Vii's outfit, but then again Vii was no Phoenix. No Vii was just a bloodthirsty monster with sub average superhuman abilities. Nothing really, in the broad scheme of things, but she like'd to think she was head of the human's food chain. That was enough for the little vampire, and her self control was ever increasing, to her surprise.

Emma sighed, increasing the strength on her spells and wards, and pulled up a seat at the bar.
Not a serious threat...but somebody to keep an eye on, certainly.

"Well, I think you're better off than most of the people who were struck by the gender issue, Zach," Skutz said, "either enjoy what you have or attempt to solve your predicament." She didn't want to come off cold, but again, Skutz didn't want to talk, think, or have any processes of the genderswap.
"The 'epidemic' could strike anyone, of any race," Skutz explained to Vii, "no one really knows how or why it happens, it just does."

Vii's eyes went wide and what little color inhabited her face drained completely. She hugged her petite feminine frame tightly, staring off into space, entertaining the idea of what that might be like. Frowning and trembling slightly, Vii swallowed the last of her blood wine and placed the empty glass on the bar.

Eva let out a frustrated "Hmmph." which David ignored. He took another drink of his beer and listened in on some of the conversations.
"An epidemic? Might want to see if I have an immunization for Eva and myself if there is indeed something going around." he thought to himself.
David glanced at his watch. Just a few more minutes and then he would go back to his ship.

"Right," Zach placed the drink, half-finished, back on the bar and stood up. "I'm gonna figure out what's going on with this, uh, epidemic, I guess. Or I'm gonna die trying. Which may end up being good for me. Yeah. Hmmm..."
Whether it was the alcohol talking, Zach was never one for much drinking, or not, Zach did not know. All she knew was that she needed to figure out how to change back and soon. She hadn't any clothing for the situation and what she did have was just big enough to be an issue.
"So..." Zach lost her train of thought for a moment then regained it. "Right! So I'll see you all later, then."

Emma's hands flew to her throat, the pendant at her throat pulsing with sudden heat.
Her Lord was in danger.
She vanished with greater speed than physically and magically thought possible, a sword appearing in her hand even as magic enveloped her.

"What would happen if you became a vampire?" Vii asked Zach in a childlike inquisitive tone, but he was already heading out the door. Leaning on the stool a bit more than before the vampire continued to smoke her husband's pipe, and soon she began swaying with the motion of the melody in the music.

Eva jumped at Emma's sudden departure and spilled her milk on David's pants. David inhaled deeply in frustration, and put his cigarette out in the ashtray.
"I-I'm sorry David! I didn't mean to..." Eva was on the verge of tears.
"It's fine. I'm not mad at you." David replied and grabbed some napkins to absorb most of the milk on the the table. "C'mon, let's blow this joint." David said and quickly gulped down the last of his beer.
He and Eva quickly walked out of the bar, David lightning up yet another cigarette.
