Yes. I have already seen the new harlequins, theya re being released as an elite chioce, and are not separate units as prior. They are a troupe with a troupe leader. No armour, but they have their own advantages.
EDIT
Somone said they thought swooping hawks where a better Fast attack choice. Depends really. Spiders have a better armour save and better weapons. From a unit of a mere 5 warp spiders with exarch upgrade you pump out 12 S6 shots. Now. They have no AP value, which is their biggest problem, but theya re still nice. And if the warp jump generator rules stayed the same, theny ou can make a scond jump after the shooting phase, with a risk, though.

Yay! I can get them again ^_^
And I agree that your opinion on eache type of unit is solely your opinion which could be from what ou've seen them do or what you think they can do.

Lt. Brookman plibbles Jaistilin plibbles 5 attacks on the charge sounds awesome . plus there extra bonuses sounds tempting when are they scheduled to release? They were released a long time ago but they just don't let you take them any more. i mean the newer models i was wondering when they would be released. Everything save for the Harlequins is already released. wow, tell me where i can get them i dont see them on the games workshop site all i see is a coming soon. i see the classic/collector old models could you sent me a link to were i can buy the newly designed harliquins?

i don't think you would need 10 fire dragons 5-6 would probably be sufficient enough. after they take one or two tanks down they won't see the light of day again.

I'd suggest picking up a transport for those Fire Dragons... slogging it on foot isn't exactly the best way to put their fusion guns to good use. Also, why do you have thirty extra points? Pick up another psychic power for your Farseer. Both Guide and Doom are very nice choices, so much so that I won't leave home without them.
Edit: I'd also try to pick up another Warp Spider or two, if possible. Although, that's because I'm not a fan of minimum unit sizes.

Hmm, you think the Falcon can be used effectively as a transport? That is, if I change the squad down to 5 models. Another physic ability is a good idea - probably Fortune. Thanks.
And I probably would add more warp spiders if I didnt have to buy a box of 5 just to add a couple more. sad

Really? Did they completely cancel out the old blister packs then? How unfortunate. The Flacon could be used as a make-shift transport, but a good round or two of shooting will definately see it downed. A dedicated Wave Serpent would serve far better.

giving your farseer another power would work if he is guarded well but he would be a good fire magnet. you could invest in a couple more howling banshees. ignoring Armor saves with their power weapon would be nice. if you go with the minimum troop capacity on some elites, they dont tend to do as well in combat.

Lol, why did you contradict yourself Pibbles, you recommended 5-6 Fire Dragons and then said that minimum squads dont perform well. Which is it?
And by more Howling Banshees, do you mean another squad? Because 10 is the max.
And yeah, Daicon, I think they got rid of blisters sad And is the Wave Serpent that much better than a Falcon for staying alive. I mean it has the Energy Field but cant get a Holo Field. Nonetheless, if both would die, having a serpent makes more sense as it costs less - so, yeah, I will look into getting one.

It's not only that they're both quite likely to be blown to bits, but also that you can put your Falcon to much better use by having it take advantage of the big guns it can carry rather than escorting Fire Dragons around all the time.
Speaking of big guns... where is the Brightlance? The Dragons have Anti-Tank covered... but not until second or third turn, normally. I'd strongly advise giving either the Falcon or the Wraithlord a Brightlance. After all, the sooner you can start opening up on your opponents armor, the less likely they are to fire back at you.

i dint contradict my self i said some elite squads do not do well with minimum numbers. fire dragons are a strong and they do fine with 5-6 in a 1500 point, str8 ap 1 shots is very sufficient. army a squad of banshees. 5-6 banshees will not perform as accurately as you think against larger squads. they are still toughness 3 marching in to close combat. and Daicon your right about the fire power and escort service. sorry bout that.

Okay on the note of warp spiders, so Warp spiders DO have a good weapon that only the exarch can get, but it severely lowers his rate of fire. Either 4 S6 shots. Assault. Or 1 Assault S6 AP1 shot with the spinnerette rifle.
In general. This sounds like a great deal of banter.
Fire dragons probably do not need more than 5 or 6 if their is tanks involved. If not, and you just like them and use them for the hell of it. Deck em out in a wave serpent. To the enemies surprise when you pourout 10 S8 Ap1 shots at their units and just cause a general problem. xd
Do what you want. Advice is only so good as it is based off of opinion.
If you can loose and have fun with it, having had your fun with a unit of fire dragons, then I say Kudos. I won my first game of warhammer, but ya know why? I was playing against a Khornate army using my avatar, a wraithlord and 2 squads of 10 guardians each. Combat patrol sized. He did not have much that could touch T8. We had a good laugh about it.
