Coren fell back over and began to flail upon the ground, covering his robe in dirt. His boredom was astounding. He smashed his forehead into the dust, cracking the rock beneath him. Causing him to pass out.
PostPosted: Sat Dec 12, 2009 11:55 pm

Coren picked himself up off the ground, seems he feel asleep in his inebriated state. His forehead was covered in blood, one of the nicest groggy awakenings in a long time. The ground under him felt squishy and strange, the floor (as it could not be described as dirt or earth) seemed to flow around his hand. Everywhere he looked Coren saw nothing but peach coloured sky. The infinite heavens sprawled out before him as he stood atop a gilded carpet of nimbus clouds. Coren was awe struck by the sight of it all and struck out in the direction he just happened to be facing.

He walked for what seemed like hours, but did not notice a change in his scenery. His eyes strained as what seemed to be the very peak of a mountain grew from the distance, for only the faint shadow was shone to be against the rosy firmament. Coren dashed onward to his new found destination. He was being called by something at this summit: a grand aroma, a beautiful cacophony of smells which had a distinct hint of vanilla.

Coren reached the stone spire as the ethereal sun shone bright above his head. He felt not the tiresome effort which had brought him to this place, he could have traveled for days if not weeks if these conditions had stayed the same. But such was not the cash, for his romp through heaven had come to close as must all good things. Coren placed his foot upon the stone incline and the toll of his trip hit him all at once. His muscles ached and his bones began to buckle under the weight of his body. Coren was forced to the ground. Landing with a thud, the air was forced from his lungs. He cried out for the pain was immense, the pressure of this place seeming to crush him. His head he was still able to move and so he looked upward toward the precipice he wished to reach. Coren groaned as he crawled forward: having no strength at all left in his body, he did little more than flop about. Laughter filled the air about him, seeming to come in from zephyr on high as the sound came from no where in particular.

Walking down from the mount was a large monkey, the size of man and walking upright. He was clothed in what seemed to be shaolin robe: the cream coloured robes, covered with a heavy orange cloak around the waist, over the arm and shoulder. The beast's tail flicked back and forth as he laughed at the foolish shinobi. His speech filled the land, rolling over the golden cloud cover, "Well now you are just full of surprises Coren... I was coming to retrieve you, but I must confess that I was a prisoner of the grandest of anecdotes and could hardly force myself to step away. I assume the trip across the clouds was simple... but this you find more difficult, yes?" The monkey's eyebrow cocked as he mocked Coren, sarcasm dripping from his voice. "Forgive my being late... but this is where I was supposed to help you. This task to the mount is not one you are capable under your own power. This is only one that you may accomplish through me."

The beast lifted Coren over his shoulder, for he was unaffected by the apparent pressure of this place. Coren rested easy across the thin muscle of his new friend, the weight lifted from his body. The trip was long as the mount stretched high into the sky, the light waning above. They reached the peak as the sun hung low in the sky, the stars showing on the far side of this grand place while the rose was drawn away to places unknown to be replaced by indigo a violet. At the top of this spire stood a lone, gnarled tree. It's branches skewed to one side, bending over to shade it's self. A large cask of brew fermented beneath the foliage of its ancient shade. Within this barrel was the greatest of brews: namely the Lothar family brew. Upon the great oaken cask was a character of scrawled mandarin:Monkey. Coren touched the cask, looking upon it as one would a holy artifact. He dipped his gourd into the brew and smelled the drink within. It was wonderful. He drank what could only be described as pure joy. This drink gave him strength lost to time, strength the monkeys gave to his forefathers. He felt the power within him grow; chakra began to leek from his body. This was different from what he was used to. His golden chakra was gone, replaced by a chakra of infinite darkness. He wondered at the chakra, he had seen those whose chakra was dark and it had filled him with fear but such was not the case. It was welcoming even! It seemed to cause feelings of safety and warmth within him. The low light tore through his dark chakra, ripping streaks of ruby colors through it. The energy danced about him as it wafted away from him. He noticed that as it flowed out from his body it grew lighter, until it was of the softest alabaster or ivory in any mansion. It almost seemed to bubble at the tip, flowing back into the black to mingle with that which it had just been. Coren felt the amazing power subside within him as the chakra faded down. The chakra coated his whole body, causing him to feel the great warmth of his family's legacy and power.

He turned to face the beast that had helped him finish his journey. He bowed to the large primate, his left left fist closed while his right was open and straight against it. The beast bowed in response. His speech was no less mighty as the light dipped long, half vanished below the cloud," You figured it out then? Then you need not bow to me. You have taught me a great deal of things over an infinite number of lifetimes. You and your fathers each." Coren closed his eyes as the final ray of light dipped beneath the gold clouds. He spoke as all vanished around him, "Thank you Sun Wu Kong...", only to hear from over his shoulder, "Your family may call me Enma."

Coren stood at the training area. The palms of his hands stung as if from a needle. He turned them up to his face, each was a dark mark of the symbol he had seen before. He was confident he could live up to his ancestors. He took as step, his feet felt strange... He looked down to notice his feet no longer bore the sandals he had worn for so long. His feet seemed to have a second joint! He didn't seem all too freaked out; he remembered that his grandfather had had such like these. "This must be a gift to the brew masters...", Coren thought to himself as he shrugged. But he felt something else a bit strange. He looked over his shoulder... to see a tail! The ting was massive: about as thick as his arm and it must have been at least seven feet long. The dark brown fur was the same color as his hair, kinda shaggy too. He swished it back and forth... it was kinda fun to play with. Coren just stared at it before screaming, "WHAT THE F**K?!?!?" He then noticed a small man in the bushed with a button, his shirt had a pin on it which claimed him as FCC. Coren sighed, "Motherf*****...", as soon as he noticed he was bleeped again he rushed towards the man, beating him in the face, "Take that you censoring b******!" He stopped the beating for just a minute before continuing, "Wow... your committed..", before knocked the man out and smashing the button.

Coren then walked back to the spot he had previously occupied, taking his same stance and dropping his jaw in disbelief at his new tail.
