"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the tent this morning," Dax said in a still merry voice. He was still too overjoyed that he convinced the other to trade him places for his mood to be taken down so easily. Moving over to his horse, he pulled the still dripping tarp off her and tossed it to the ground before moving to dig into his saddlebags. He found the clothes he had been wearing before changing into the dress. Luckily, they had been loose in the first place. As he slipped on the shirt, he found it now fit comfortably, if not veering toward snug.

It didn't take long for him to finish getting dressed. "Come on, slowpoke," he teased Sayael, stroking Jacquline's mane.

In the time it had taken Dax to pack up and dress, Sayael had packed away the tarps - now dry by some peculiar magic of his - as well as mounted, using that same graceful leap now modified to include skirt so that he somehow landed side-sadle. "Who's the slowpoke?" he muttered, staring daggers at Dax as the other mounted. He made a clicking sound with tongue and Isfahel, who flicked an ear back at the sounds, started off.

Commander...

The term rolled about in the prince's head. It reminded him of the diaries in the book he was reading... In fact, it rather reminded him of why he admired Shay so. A memory floated to the surface from deep in the confines of Ruehl's mind.

Running through the castle, a 16 year-old Ruehl was dressed in a rather handsome dress tunic for a military banquet hosted by the royal family. Shay was being promoted to general along with another captain. There were going to be various other promotions honored that night as well. His eyes fell on the dark-haired, seventeen-year-old as Haar went up to be recognized.

... and he felt his heart rate speed up as he recognized Haar to be attractive to him in a different way than other soldiers. The entrancing red eyes, the chocolatey locks... that terribly sweet grin that adorned his face as he extended his hand to shake his superior's were just a few that stood out at that moment.

'It won't go anywhere,' he thought dismissively while clapping his hands with everyone in applause, 'You'll hardly ever see him. A general is exciting... but be reasonable, Ruehl. What would anyone think should you tell them? They would laugh. Forget whatever you might think you want this second. It doesn't matter.'

From private... lieutenant.. captain.. general, and now commander? Peridot shades struggled to not divulge such admiration pent up behind them. While he'd been away for nearly 18 months, home only for a few days at a time around the holidays... studying abroad and exploring his powers... he'd thought he wouldn't see the commander for a time. If ever. Perhaps Haar would be committed by now or deeply involved with another.

'Perhaps he is,' Ruehl thought wistfully. He wondered... if it was even appropriate to think of Haar in such a light. Probably not. He was going to struggle with this, he could tell already.

Despite himself, Ruehl nodded after pondering, "It's a deal... Commander!" The title rolled off his tongue with ease and called a smile to his lips. He sighed in a teasingly, dramatic way, "Now, I'm terribly sorry, Alti. Thankfully, this name exchange has been sorted out. I shall let you and H--... Commander lead the way to the garden."

Once Dax had properly seated himself, he remembered just how much better and easier it was straddling the saddle rather than sitting sideways. Nudging his horse, they followed Sayael out of the woods and back onto the road. "So how long is it until we get to this.. Harold's or Henry's place again?" he asked, actually meaning 'Haeri's'.

"You mean Haeri," he snapped, his expression peavish. "If we don't reach it by mid day, it means you're slowing me down too much." He leaned forward and wrapped his arms around Isfahel's long neck, sighing deeply in the soft, long hairs. He looked very unhappy. Then he straightened up and set the pace at a fast trot. They were soon out of the trees and they began to skirt the edges of a small village - he didn't want to be slowed down by a crowd again - before the scenery gave way to broad country. The sky was no longer stormy, but the bright peaceful blue of the Storms Kingdom directly after a rain.

With Sayael's pick up in the pace, he urged Jacqueline to keep up. He didn't know making the other boy switch roles with him would be that big of a deal. Or maybe it was just because of his slowness that morning. Whatever it was, it was obvious the prince was pissed and he now was tossing the option of trying to cheer him up around in his head. But how would he do that? Normally, many of their conversations led to little arguments. That would probably only put Sayael further on the edge. Coming up to ride along just beside the other, a light frown playing on his lips, he looked over at the other. "Are you angry with me?" he asked.

"No, of course not, Honey " he said, both his expression and his voice falsly bright, contained anger held within every line of his face. He was such a child - he had to dress as a woman and he wasn't even getting anything for it. "Why, we can have so much fun together once we're married - shopping and searching for a house and babies. It'll be just wonderful." They were on a country road - unpaved, but serviceable. Why Sayael was pretending their continued relasionship was a mystery, as there were no people around within hearing range.

And Dax noticed the lack of people about themselves. An almost uneasy look over his shoulder and around their persona told him that. What had gotten into Sayael this time? "O-Okay.." he said, offering the best smile he could manage. "Yeah. But let's continue going step by step, won't we? Your parents' blessing would be a good start." If the other boy was going to continue with the charade, then he should as well. There was always that possibilty that an unseen ear could be listening that Sayael knew of and he didn't. Best to just play along. "And then we can talk about the baby matter." For some reason, he couldn't help but picture himself and Sayael with a baby.. Definitely a humorous situation.

[[ahahaha xd .. Sayael and Dax make me laugh!]]

Faryn awoke, shifting his tired legs to swing them over the edge of the bed. He had no reason to not wake early... yet he awoke surprisingly late for himself: perhaps about nine o'clock. Sitting on his bed, a hand rubbed over his sleepy eyes. He was still very much alone-- not knowing whether to be disappointed or grateful for that fact.

Pushing himself up and off the bed, he grabbed his belt and tied it securely around his waist, combed fingers through his slightly mussed hair, pulled his hood up to hide himself, and set out to get Whitley.

Faryn's traveling shoes made soft, crunching sounds as he walked through town to the docks. Which one was the most well-made? This was bound to be key in which boat had to be Haeri's. He didn't know the boatmaker, so to ask to be a stowaway on one of his ships was rather out of the question.

Haar smiled softly to himself as he led the youngest teen down to the end of the hall, stopping short at a door to the right that led outdoors. Turning a series of locks to an open position, the young man opened the door for the two which opened up to a small pathway, which of course guided one through all of the gardens. The first garden was Haar's favorite one, the fire light fields. It wasn't exactly impressive in the day time (nothing you couldn't see in a regular garden), but at night the enchantments roused themselves... little orbs of light (compliments of their own head mage) and small tongues of fire lit up the garden beautifully.

Haar still thought it was one of more calming gardens (and that was exactly what he needed), even if it wasn't living up to its name right then.

"Yes, I think I want seven of them," he continued, as if he hadn't heard Dax at all. "It's a lucky number, after all. And I think we should have s pair of twins if we can manage it - one boy and one girl. They should be the oldest, too. We simply must find a house large enough - in my kingdom, of course. That frekishly cold ice land of yours is no place to raise children." He was rambling again - his aggrivation often turned him to this. "Darling, I think you should build our house. It's much better to make your own than to buy one and it's so romantic. Mother told me Father did that for her. And make sure it's in a good neighborhood or we'll be raising criminals." He continued to babble across the country side until they finally reached the town where Haeri lived. True to Sayael's word, it was a little after noon. They rode to Haeri's door and he dismounted gracefully, tossing his long, chocolate hair back behind his shoulders. He knocked and the boat man, who had been expecting them, opened. For a momant he seemed surprised. Then, realising who it was, he burst out laughing. Sayael glared at him and gave him a nice whap over the head. Then he gestured to the disguised Dax and disapeared inside after his friend.

Jillian had awoken early that morning, as he always did. Haeri had been true to his word and had posted a few men - in hiding, of course - as sentries outside the boat Sayael and Dax would be using. And then, a little after lunch, the two arrived. Jillian looked up as he heard Haeri talking to something and his jaw dropped slightly as he saw Sayael - now made woman - and Dax - who had become the "tall, dark and handsom" type - walk in. He knew the magic Sayael used; the edges of the two's form were blurred slightly with dark threads and a soft green light. No normal person would see that, but Jillian wasn't exactly what you would call normal.

Alti followed Haar in and was a little disapointed when he saw what appeared to be a normal garden. The Kingdom of Storms was very close to the Kingdom of Earth and so of course they had wonderful gardens, but the royal gardens were... special. There was one garden that called "The Dancing Garden" and indeed there were many dances held there, but it was named mosty for the vaces inside that contained Dancing Water, something only a very skilled mage could create and which no other kingdom had. The Dancing Water was a rainbow of colors and was named because it continually danced between the different vaces. It was a beautiful sight.

After the matter of funds had been solved, Rosaline said farewell to the aubrun-haired woman and took his leave, the ebony envelope heald lightly in pale hands. His head was full of deseigns and ideas and where he should buy the cloths he needed and he had almost forgot that Muertian was waiting for him until he he nearly ran into the other. Embarrassed, he took a step back, face patched with bright pinks and reds, and mumbled some apology about not looking or thinking.

"Faster man servant, faster!" Peyton frowned as he leaned his chin atop the knight's head of brown hair. "You're not going fast enough," the blonde whined against Cain's ear, arms tightening their hold slightly around his sitter's neck. Cain frowned gently, tugging the boy's arms down a bit so he could breath easily, "You're a lot heavier than you think," he mumbled, situating the younger teen a bit high on his waist so the blonde wasn't in danger of falling off his back.

The two, well, the knight was currently attempting to run down the relatively dark hallway with the young blonde on his back- this task was not the easiest thing Cain had ever done. "Is this less conspicuous?" Peyton questioned, running fingers through short brown locks for a moment. The knight shook his head with a laugh, "I wish."

The dark eyed teen looked up, meeting blue eyes and wisps of fair hair as the younger teen stared down at him. "Nn, what happened to your leg exactly, anyway? When you locked me up you were limping, I don't think you ever told me what happened." It was true, Cain had asked if Peyton was okay but the blonde had retorted with some annoyed remark and he suspected he had been too nervous to bring up anything about last night. He felt more than bad for locking up one of their own, but he had seemed suspicious.

"Some a** put a death curse into my leg. Into it. It hurt already because of the gash but then later into the night it...it hurt so bad I recall asking Ceris to just cut it off," Peyton murmured, brushing bangs out of dark eyes before the knight looked back down. "I'm glad he didn't."
