Gepardo bent down to pick up the bottle when the growl rolled over them. Grabbing the bottle, he stood to see what was about to be their immediate death. Lilliputti's fur stood up on end as she growled back.

There stood an Electrike, with a snarl on its face. Its battle-worn body had rather astonishing adjustments, namely, a mechanical paw and eye piece. Someone had taken the care to fix the pokemon's missing limb. You couldn't tell whether the eye piece was for looks or was due to a faulty eye, but the Electrike's swift movements revealed that it didn't handicap the pokemon's vision at all. It rather enhanced it.

Michelle had just been wondering around the ruined campsite when Gepardo found the bottle. The growl had made her jump and startled Remy to the point of the Meowth fluffing up. When they turned with everyone else and saw the Electrike standing there with a snarl, Michelle took a step back and Remy launched his self at it.
Remy: 15hp
Electrike: 98hp

Blaire sent a wave of cutting air at the electrike, intent upon not letting it harm Erika. The electrike retaliated with a blast of electricity.

"Well, haven't you gone to hell and back..." Gepardo stared and jumped back as the wild pokemon attacked, electricity jumping around his and his pokemon's feet. Lilliputti threw her head back then forward, releasing a large mouthfull of fire.

As Anise turned to look, she spotted one of the oddest pokemon she'd ever seen. It was an Electrike, clearly enough, but with...a mechanical leg? And some kind of eye piece. Where could it have possibly gotten that?
The pokemon didn't leave them time to study it, and darted in for an attack. Oki leaped at it as well, shooting forwards for a Faint Attack. But although he was fast, so was the Electrike, and as soon as he hit it he was knocked back.
Oki: 14 HP
Electrike: 81 HP

Lilliputti bolted towards the the wild pokemon and bit down hard, then her eyes widen as she was electrified.
Gepardo just facepalmed. "I don't...." He shook his head and looked at the bottle he was still holding, stepping backward. "Lilli, come back, you silly putty!!"

Oki didn't hesitate and lunched at the Electrike again. There'd been too much unsettling stuff going on that he couldn't protect Anise from. He finally had a chance to protect her and he was determined to do it right!

Magnolia yelped at the half-mechanized monstrosity to leap out in a rage. She wanted to run, but realizing it was still a Pokemon, decided it also needed to be tamed. Others had the upper hand on her though and started attacking it first
.
"W-We should help out too, Rho," she told her Glameow, placing him on the ground. He fixed a glare on her. "Use Slash!"
Rho sighed. He had no choice, huh? With his talons elongating, he struck out at the Electric-type Pokemon.

Cara trudged onward, weary but knew that she had to keep going. Spirit's wings helped keep her cool, that and the water supply she had in her bag. She of course shared it with her Pokemon, she knew Spirit needed it as well. Cara also wondered why there was a map on the back of the journal scraps but, if it lead them where they needed to go then so be it.
On the trail, she spotted the scratched up trees and wondered what had happened. What kind of Pokemon did that? She wondered. Then she saw blood on another tree, that made a knot form in her stomach. What the hell happened here? Did those Pokemon the man was talking about get loose and actually kill him?
She shivered, keeping her eyes open as they walked. Cara stayed as alert as possible, her eyes and ears wide open. They got past the trees and came upon thick shrubbery. She growled a bit but was determined to keep going when she realized that it was the campsite, or what was left of it.
This is...terrible. I guess this is where it all happened...
She spotted the rocks along with the others and gathered around it with them. After it was dug up a thought occurred to her. "Hey...I wonder if THIS is the cure the guy wrote about but...he had to hide it so it wouldn't get lost."
Suddenly, she heard the growl and stood up straight, on high alert.
Spirit flew down off of Cara's head, hovering in a protective mode, ready for whatever jumped out. She wasn't going to let Cara get hurt.

Suddenly the very unusual Electrike jumped out and Cara was stunned. "That is the coolest Electrike I have ever seen..." she said under her breath. "I don't think it means us all that well though, unfortunately..." And I cant say I blame it...it looks like it's been through hell.
Spirit sped forward, protecting Cara from the 'dangerous' Pokemon before them. She sent a Dragon Breath attack at the Electrike. It wasn't to strong, she just wanted it to stay away.
Spirit: 14hp
Electrike: 67hp

The transformed ditto let out another torrent of flame before running back towards her trainer, yelping as sparks chased after her. Gepardo lightly rubbed the electrical burns gently. "Easy, girl..."

That he believed they were in the future, rather than the past was so completely shocking and absurd that Cai was struck silent. Unable to even comprehend the vast depths of the stupidity that he was surrounded by. Anise's suggestion of using a pokemon to manipulate them against their will was even more surprising. Wasn't she a healer? He leveled a betrayed look at her. It was a repulsive thought, that someone would use a pokemon to control him. (Though had Cai been in her position, he probably would have done the exact same thing. It was the fact that he was the 'victim' that made it so abhorrent in his mind.)
In the mean time, they seemed to have had a jolly time putting their little puzzle together and ignoring all common sense, the group had changed course to follow their treasure map. "Fine. I see how it is. Everyone just wants to get themselves killed. It's a suicide pact I wasn't made aware of." Cai muttered darkly, personally agreeing with the gentleman who suggested that it was a trap meant to lure them.
His face was pinched with disapproval as he followed at the back of the group. Screw them all if he was going to be the first walking into his doom. Only reason he didn't leave them behind was because as long as he was in a group, he might have a small chance of surviving the day, whereas alone he would certainly die. As much as he hated the entire lot of them, there was safety in numbers. If something was waiting to eat them, it could get full on the rest of them before it got to Cai.
The bloody trees and destroyed campsite seemed to indicate that Cai's assumptions were once again, correct. He could not have looked smugger and less jaded as the Electrike made it's displeasure and presence known.

Oki was surprised at how fast the Electrike moved. It was getting hard to keep up. He aimed another attack at the altered pokemon, but it only grazed the green pelt. On the other hand, he was hit quite hard. He growled in frustration as hr braced himself, trying to will his wobbling legs to stand firm. He would not be bested by this thing!

The houndoom jumped in the way of another electrical attack and snarled under the pain, letting another flamethrower attack towards the dog pokemon.
