Aww, I'm sorry. sad I'd offer a comforting hug or something if there weren't a questionable number of miles and a computer screen in my way. D:

It's been about a week . . . and to be honest, I am okay. It is sad, but not for him. For my mother (his widow) it is hard.

Death is the truest test of my beliefs that death is not to be feared, only respected.

Of course, it is also a well known conversation killer.

The majority of people don't like discussing death, because they fear it and feel that the subject is somehow inherently morbid.
Considering we will all face it some day, I really don't see why people don't speak of it at length.

I don't mind morbid. I feel all things happen in balance, and as such you might as well get it out in the open. Besides, morbid discussions tend to be far more intellectual. emo

x3 Another part of the reason behind the frequent avoidance is that it can almost seem to be a...controversial topic? No one wants to discuss something that might lead to religious debate...except people who either don't care what opinions others hold of them, or people just looking for a fight.

I am neither, but won't shy away just because the topic becomes controversial.

Well, it could also be a painful topic as well.
Well, we've gotten to a thousand posts, so are we going to a million posts? wink

The goal was 1,000 pages (15,000 posts) or 1,000,000 posts (which is about 66,666 pages).

Really? Whoops, musta missed that. I just kept seeing '1000' and wondered why one thousand posts was so important... Hm... >>;;
