The fire was going past the ice, slowly connecting to Valentine.

When one of the flames touched Valentine he hissed, ice surrounding his body to keep it away.

The flames were slowly melting the ice....The fire was enveloping Valentine with the intent to burn him alive...
"Astaroth. Enough." Recht said with a sigh, clearly disappointed in how quick the 'fight' ended.
Astaroth gave a growl as the flames subsided...

As the flames melted the ice more was added to it, making sure it didn't touch Valentine. Once they died the ice started turning to vapor.

Valentine managed to grab onto the window ledge after he was thrown and pull himself back up. "a*****e." He murmured, dropping back into the room.

Hael opened her mouth, about to give a response, when a knife suddenly whizzed past both of their heads.
"ENOUGH!" Akito growled, glaring at them, his hand resting on another knife.
"Your bickering is beginning to annoy the dead." He growled, pointing to Caius who was twitching.
