Any interest I might one day have had in starting a Grey Knights army ended tonight.
I found out what the Grey Knights did to the Battle Sisters. I'd known they did something terrible, but I didn't know what until tonight.
In addition to making me hate and despise the Grey Knights, it also nearly made me throw up.
That kind of stuff affects me a lot, especially when it happens to women.

I was thinking about taking spare Lizardmen spears and modelling them impaling - in the colloquial sense, not the original sense that made Vlad be called Vlad the Impaler - my Grey Knight Terminator I bought cause it looked cool. Maybe make some bullet holes in his armor. Then maybe painting blood dripping from the wounds. Kinda a retribution kinda thing, even though I know intellectually that retribution is wrong. But your idea is much better. ^^ Here comes the nausea again. Damned gore makes me nauseous, even the thought of it.

Aaaa, the good old full-of-bullet-but-still-have-1hp-left look, it never gets old. ^^ If you mean that sisters do the impaling, go for it. :O Would suggest using a marine-knight instead, using termie sounds expensive. ;.; Maybe give it a corrupted-paint-look to boot? surprised Hands some medicine and digs out a pic of sisters being AWESOME. ^w^http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_MiMelbHFkZY/S-GR0ttq1-I/AAAAAAAAAX8/0SH0Zmu6D-E/s1600/Sisters_of_Battle_0_by_hoxiaowei.jpg

And yes, I mean that Sisters would do the impaling. Kinda an alternate ending where they don't just get killed and their blood defiled, but end up killing the Grey Knights who were obviously corrupted by Chaos into trying to kill the faithful. Getting a power armored Grey Knight would require buying some. I was gonna use an old metal GK Terminator with halberd. I do regret what I did one day to an older Canoness model with bolter-flamer and eviscerator - added from a newer Canoness mini's spare. I had a project in mind and tried to cut off the robes and trim down the armor to make a sort of Kerrigan - from Starcraft - miniature. After a while of cutting, I realized it wasn't going to work and switched to a Sister Repentia. It was pretty terrible, though, so I ordered that two-pack of Inquisitor Death-Cult Assassins, the twins whose names I forget. Added some green stuff 'hair' and Baelrog wings from Lord of the Rings with the flesh parts clipped off - frustrating since it resulted in the spines getting broken in many places. I glued em back together. Still haven't filed down the spine wings to make them smoother, nor have I even primed it. What was I talking about? Oh, right. I really, REALLY hope I didn't destroy a collector's miniature, like I did when I clipped off that female Commissar's hand to replace it with a sniper rifle to make Zoey for a mini Left-4-Dead thing. Boy, come to think of it, my conversions have really gone downhill since I turned a twin-linked lascannon into a twin-linked autocannon for my Dreadnought and gave my power armored Chaplain a bionic arm made from Necron parts. My painting quality's gone up though, so it's not all bad. ^^ Hm... a corrupted paintjob... Perhaps the colors of Khorne would be appropriate. Maybe I'll impale him in the traditional sense. Hm, I may need more spears. Perhaps High Elf spears, since I built my Lizardmen with spears. Mmm, feels good to think about sweet, sweet, model-based vengeance, but it would be far less satisfying to do. It would be a great conversation piece though... This is an area of discussion that requires more thought.

I ended up doing it. Took me about ten, fifteen minutes, which is a suitable amount of time to spend. Picture

I suggest you make two: One Tainted Grey Knight, just impaled, and one Ultramarine Captain, without helmet, impaled .... traditionally, as you call it ..... With a slightly tainted paint job.
I assume you understand how(who) the Ultramarine should look like ....
.... To me, it seems that GW need to force him to freelance, and if he screw things over, he won't get paid, and the material won't be used.
I mean if even half of the things in that link is true, they need to rewrite all fluff that Ward has been involved in.
However, this "Grey Knights gone tainted" can be used as a fluff, or even an alternate army, allied with Radical inquisitors, having to fight pure Grey Knights and Daemon Hunters, once the crunch gets cleaned up ....

even hardcore competitive players seem to hate GKs: http://warhammer40kbloodangels.blogspot.com/2011/05/dear-grey-knights-i-hate-you-signed.html other than that, GKs by the new book are not even known to most imperials, being equivalent of MiB urban legend... IG encountered as allies are cleansed after battle while Marines are mindwiped - or else...

I guess that's roughly analogous to collateral damage caused by public discharge of the Noisy Cricket?

You guys keep mentioning "Tainted Grey Knights."
I only want to have to say this once.
THAT. DOESN'T. HAPPEN.
They are peeled open physically and psychically and have HEXAGRAMMIC AND PENTAGRAMMIC WARDS CARVED INTO THEIR BONES. If they so much as THINK about going rogue, they get hit with a mental equivalent of a hard flogging. If they actually go rogue, THEY ******** EXPLODE.
HARRUMPH! GOOD DAY TO YOU ALL! *adjusts monocle and relights pipe*
