((Finally back to the action for the new year!))

Jaden ignored the strange man but snatched the note from Razu without even glancing at it, holding it between his claws but not puncturing it.
"In your scenario though I will be required to hide from the public eye." he said, flicking his claws causing the paper to flutter slightly with the geasture. "You realize that my basic purpose since birth has been to kill right? That's not exactly endearing to a species that is scared beyond all belief that it could become prey."
He leaned back in the chair slightly, looking even more like a predator for a moment. "I'd be willing to do so though. It's not like I lead a very public life as it is."

Jaden stood up on the chair and bounced down onto the floor. The battle scarred creature looked out into the night. Dawn was a long ways off now, it was still his time.
"I don't like that creature." Jaden said bluntly. "That particular demon just grates me. But I suppose I must be polite." Grabbing his long black coat he slung it over his body, almost draping him like a cape. "I don't expect anyone to follow... that doesn't want to anyway." With that statement and a swish of his long tail Jaden bolted out of the open window, bouncing off the adjacent wall and upward to rooftops and his own path to the park.

Had she not been limping and injured in the subway, Sibyl would have been bounding up the stairs with ease. However, even so she was still clearing the stairs in a matter of seconds and with her form being larger she cleared them faster than she normally would have. The wolf had carried the puppy all the way home and when they finally came to the apartment that Sibyl was most familiar with she gently laid her belly down on the floor so that Jaden could dismount her and open the door.

While waiting, Sibyl gently set her muzzle on the floor and began licking at her wound. She had a horrible habit with wounds where she would continously lick at them since her saliva did happen to have healing properties, however, only to a certain extent. The wolf in her just couldn't ignore the wound and leave it to be and she knew that she was going to be constantly picking at this wound for it was a grave one.

The wolf mindlessly followed the seemingly younger version of Jaden to the couch and when he practically demanded that she cuddle with him, the wolf decreased in size to that of her standard size and jumped up onto the couch. She buried her her nose inbetween Jaden's form lying on the couch and the back of the couch cushions themselves and squeezed her form inbetween him and the couch.

~Hold still, you need to lick yours more. It helps, you know.~

She decided that his arm needed to be tended and the wolf was too tired to really make the connection that his arm had the same wound that her leg possessed. The wolf began gently licking the younger version of Jaden's wound and that was when she took notice of him appearing younger. She wasn't certain if she was hallucinating due to blood loss or if she'd maybe just lost it but what she was seeing was strange indeed. However, she wasn't given too much time to dwell on it since Jaden hid his face in his jacket, ashamed.

~What's the matter?~

The wolf had now looked up in curiousity and had ceased licking his wound as she nosed about to try and get the jacket off him. She prodded at the jacket skillfully with her nose until it tumbled off of Jaden's face and onto the floor. The wolf had her head cocked to the side and she was looking at him with clear confusement.

The wolf lazily stretched herself out, her entire form running along the couch as she gently sniffed the couch then sneezed afterwards, shaking her head in a slight daze after the sneeze. However, she watched the young one as his tail swished against the couch, occasionally sweeping across her own fur as she laid there. The wolf's muzzle turned up in what would be best described as a wolf smile though she didn't bare any of her teeth so it was better described as a wolf smirk.

~That is fortunate, it means that you have loyalty to those around you. Sometimes, though, wolves and people alike are harmed and it's inevitable that some day we will all feel pain.~

She playfully nudged him with her nose and then set her head down on top of her front legs, which were stretched across the expanse of the couch. One of her hind legs the rose into the air as she lazily stretched and then her lavender eyes opened to watch the younger version of Jaden, inspect him. Surely enough he still looked strange, younger, more innocent than the worn and beaten Jaden she knew so well had been.

On the contrary, one half of Sibyl's neck was a matted mess of dried up blood that she was going to need to get out of her coat while the other side was perfectly free of blood, of anything. She had bled quite a lot but she hadn't managed to bleed enough to soil her entire coat. Just half of it was a horrible mess, not that she was particularly repulsed since she wasn't human and had gone without bathing for days when she'd been with her pack.

~And you're always confusing to me. Of course you like it when others are nice to you. Everyone does, silly.~

The wolf closed her eyes again and gently leaned into the claws as she began panting very faintly and her tail began wagging. It was clear that she was enjoying being petted and having the puppy run its finger through her fur and burying his head in her neck. Of course, only those she trusted were allowed to touch her or pet her.
