Danny laughed. "PMS?"
Dari smiled. He was impressed. "Every time there's a full moon. Sometimes twice a month."
Danny grinned. "Ah, I see! I hear you were something-or-other, I just didn't know what. I, uh... hm. Well. If I'm not rehearsing I'm auditioning, usually. Other than that it's mostly hanging out with the family. It's not like we can quite pretend we're normal all the time. The house is big, though."

"Maybe PLC?" Cody guessed. "Post-Lunar-Cycle? But I always end up starving." And usually, with a taste for pizza. Or cookies, but that was Maia's fault.
"Do you guys like board games?" He asked. "I've got a ton of them. I teach Highschool so they're not too popular when we have free days."

"Vampires love board games," Danny teased. In reality? No. Not really. They filled their time however they could, but board games wasn't how they all came together. "We can do whatever. I'm easy. The sunlight can just be a bit much at times."

"Board games don't discriminate!" Cody laughed. "No, but we could do things," he added. "Dari could take you guys to that club thing."

"Oh! We had a club back in Philly," Danny said. It kept the killers fed from time to time and brought in a lot of revenue. He wasn't about to explain that to a man apparently inherently afraid of vampires, as so many were. "I don't really know what the plan is here. The Master tells us what to do and we do it. This is only my second move, though."

"Oh," Cody nodded. "There's a zoo," he offered. "There's a butterfly house." If vampires ever felt the need to have a butterfly land on them. "I took Dari, it's really nice."
He hesitated before looking between Dari and Danny. "So! Anne Rice or Stephanie Meyer?"

Danny seemed to perk at the idea of butterflies. There weren't many in Philly. The trip to the zoo in the sun could be painful, but maybe the butterfly house was inside? That didn't seem right, but he liked to imagine it might be.
Then he paused and his brow furrowed. "I'm sorry, what?"
Dari gave a huff of laughter. "You know. Interview with the Vampire or Twilight?"
"TCHHHH." Danny seemed disgusted. "Agh, God, neither. Nobody's gotten it totally right yet, I don't think. I have a brother who loves watching vampire flicks. He likes to laugh at them."

It was inside, but so many windows... maybe not the best idea.
Danny's reaction to the book titles was priceless, though. Cody grinned. "Really, like Dracula?" He asked. "You know... There's a laser show every weekend day at the dam in the summer, around ten? We could take you guys to that. Dari hasn't seen it yet." He'd been planning to take Dari sometime anyway.

"No, not like Dracula!" Danny said with a laugh, "No bugs, no wolves, no hallowed ground, no coffins. Tch." He shook his head, then grinned. "Well, sure. If you don't mind. I could bring family." So he wouldn't be encroaching on a romantic evening.
Dari shrugged. He didn't mind! He knew most of Danny's clan, and those who didn't take part in the protection of entities were still known through the others.

"We could do a big group day," Cody nodded. "As long as it's not a full moon." He was tied up then, but thankfully not literally. "It's nice. They play music and things." He looked to Dari. "We could invite Toby and Maia too," he said. "I bet they'd like it."
Their food came. Cody's attention was on it in an instant.

"Sure. I have some siblings that won't want to muck things up," Danny said. Dari meanwhile nodded to Cody's offer. Sure, they could bring Toby and Maia. Toby knew the vampires as it was, and Maia had met Danny once.
When the pizza came, even Danny's attention switched to it. Dari offered the server a "no, thank you" to the obligatory "can I get you anything else?" while Danny leaned his chin up and inhaled. Mmmm.
"Ouh, that smells good," the vampire said. "You know, I've never had pizza."

Cody gave Danny a smile. Hopefully that outing would go well, then! "I look forward to it," he said. It'd be nice to get to know some of Dari's other entity friends! "We could--" he hesitated and shook his head. He'd been about to suggest a picnic. Right. Vampires couldn't eat.
"Never?" Cody looked up, surprised. This guy seemed young and modern enough--"How old are you?" He asked.

"I was born in 1931, so whatever that makes me," Danny said. Age became much less important when you were immortal, and they always had to change the birth dates on their IDs.
"Eighty-six," Dari said quickly as he waited for Cody to take the first slice.
"Ugh," Danny groaned, and his nose wrinkled a moment. In his eighties! "I was sired in the fifties, though. I was... 23? 24?"

Cody took a slice of pizza, set it on his plate, and nodded at Danny. "Not too much older than Toby, then," he said. Well, immortality certainly kept you from looking your age!
"Really? Where are you from?" He hadn't touched his pizza yet. He looked to Dari. "Can you eat half this?" He asked. It seemed to be a challenge.

"Lismore, in Ireland," Danny said. He smiled slightly. His time there hadn't been all that positive come a certain age. He had no real fondness for it.
"Half of it?" Dari asked, "Why?" He didn't feel hunger and as such didn't feel fullness either. He could eat the entire pizza and the table if need be.
