Ryugi Kazamaru A shrink would just tell me I'm crazy in some way and I know that. Theres no way I'm going to a shrink... I'm sorry but that's ridiculus. Shrinks just don't go "The diagnosis is:crazy, gimme money" They're entire job is to try and understand and help people, which means being a lot more specific. Some are better than others for different people, but it's definetely worth the try. Not going for that reason just means you don't want to help yourself, and that won't get anything done. TheMessiah i still look down at the act of crying. Well, I'm sorry that this is so. Often times crying is neccesary, because the alternative is pent up emotion, which will wear at you.

Eva-Pilot I always thought that if you cried, it was for self-growth or a sort of renewal. Sometimes, you didn't have to cry for a reason but inside you knew that something had to change, unless you were releasing some stress, pain, etc. If you feel the need to cry, do so, but try to understand why you are crying. Don't just let your emotions overrun you time and time again without figuring out why it's happening in the first place. I know. I know why I'm crying, but it doesn't help...it still happens...like Lang said...I seem to fit into the whiney little b***h category...but I can't help it if someone doesn't know why I'm upset. My girlfriend doesn't understand, and for that matter, no one does. I'm lonely somewhere inside me. Nothing I seem to do fills the gap. Not even my girlfriend or all the help in the world. Its like something is missing from me.

TheMessiah meh, i used to be one of those whiny babies who did nothing but complain all the time. while much was deserved. i still look down at the act of crying. I dont CARE if other people cry, so long as they dont do it near me. I dont look down on it for others, just for myself. It solves nothing, you gain nothing, there is no resolution. That, and I have a rather kickass no crying streak going.

If you cannot be self-sustaining then how can you call yourself human? Nothing is MISSING from you, (unless you're missing some extremedy or whatever misc. organ) you just THINK there is something missing from you because you dont want to get over the self pity trip and realize that you can only help yourSELF find out what this 'gap' is and what you want from life. You need to just think to yourself that if you want to, you can make yourself happy, you don't need others to do it. Everything is in the mind, and YOU are in control of your mind. So kill the pity and force yourself to have a "I can get through this day, and I can make myself happy" attitude. It's not easy at first, but once you get in the habit, its all good. I've been down the road, trust me on that mmkay?

Ryugi Kazamaru Oh...I have TONS of pent up emotion. And there others that do as well. Figuring out how to deal with it is the important part, because just craddling it inside yourself isn't going to make anything better. Some people draw, write, some people sing. Some people find people they can trust and cry on their shoulder and look for guidance, like a shrink or somesuch. Mayve you should start a blog or livejournal and just use it to work out your emotions, but anything you do don't leave them alone. And Yuri is right, there is self-pity never helps unless you use those negatives you make up to better yourself.

Good, take their word for it. People who know what this is like also know that it doesnt help. And that's what you need to hear. Not your constant; "Oh, I'm so ******** up wah wah wah" ********, boy. I bet you really identified with Shinji.
