Dark_Dragon_Bagera Dx I always get here when the subject has passed.But anyway,they have aded little changes to pokemon over the years,and I still like it just the same.The hidden(well,not so much anymore)indivudual values and effort values are a nice touch for older players who want more substance to the games.I'm also enjoying platinum alot more than diamond because of all the expanded wi-fi features.I'm sure most people wouldn't care but I really enjoy being able to do the battle frontier over wi-fi with my bf who is too far away to play me wireless.The new battle frontier has alot of fun modes over just the original battle tower too(I like the arcade alot) I need to pick up Platinum. I haven't owned a Pokemon game since Crystal, so I need to start using again.

Flabbergasted Breakdancer I need to pick up Platinum. I haven't owned a Pokemon game since Crystal, so I need to start using again. You weren't really missing all that much with r/s and emerald was"ok"fire red and leaf green were decent remakes of r/b/y but again,just remakes.Diamond and pearl really did seem like nintendo was trying again and they improved platinum quite a bit from that.I do hope you enjoy it :3 and if you get it feel free to ask me for a battle or trade :333

@Flabber:I hope you can get them,the gamestop I got mine at sold out of them at 2 pm the same day it came out(I got the very first one ^,^)
@Barakiel:No one says you have to get it,and whether you enjoy it or not is up to your own tastes.To me it just has alot of nice new features that allows me to play more with my bf and appeals to me just because I like pokemon.I suppose if you're the type that doesn't like things like the battle tower or any competitive battling and raising then you won't find much new or amazing.(Unless you haven't played a pokemon game since,like,g/s/c)

Lol, don't worry about it, I kid, I kid! I've played every generation since the beginning, and I just wasn't sure if they added much to Platinum to make me buy it (I already own Pearl). But if it means I can kick my friend Cole's butt over wifi, I'm all in!

Oh,good xD they have some new story events that are interesting,as well as a platinum exclusive glitch >.> but the new battle frontier is alot of fun and the new online features are very nice,once you get to the battle frontier in game you can play it over wi-fi too.I ike this alot cause I get to play the battle arcade and tower over wi-fi co-oped with my bf,AND it gives you more than the normal amount of BP too(standard battle tower run gets like 3 bp,co-op on wi-fi gives 8+)The wi-fi plaza is interesting but nothing really big there,and other new wi-fi options include poffin making,the wi-fi club interface is easier to use as well.

That secret key event was just announced too,they're giving it away over wi-fi(yay for the new mystery gifting)starting april 20th till I think may 12th.I always have a balanced team myself,my favorite ghost from my diamond was a froslass.I started with the same starter as before,Turtwig,I'm fond of grass.Also,another BIG improvment,they greatly expanded the sinnoh dex.I'm sure you remember how the fire guy in the elite four had only two fire types,yeah his whole team is fire now.Magmar,Electabuzz,Ralts,Houndour,Eevee,Rotom just to name a few that are now obtainable before the national dex.Oh and Snorunt,and Duskull.Sadly for you,there's no more Misdrevus.The pokemon that were diamond or pearl exclusive like Murkrow,Misdrevus,Stunky and the like are not obtainable at all in platinum.
