Avelena picked herself up off the floor, and in the most ladylike manner possible, rubbed her very hurt bottom, muttering something about stupid holes and rocks while fumbling around for her little kyunru.
"Oooooliver? Dear, dear, where are you," she called out softly, hoping there would be no echo.
Oliver looked between the large pantheon and the Ieldi and licked both of them in turn as he looked about in absolute fear. His ears swiveled to hear his owner and he yipped to her but it shook a bit and came out far more fearful than even he intended.

As Karasu gently pushes a trembling Imriel off her back, she tries to take a look around. She can't see anything past a foot or so, where the shadows seems to boil in irritation at their arrival. The light from above filtered down from the opened ground, but it wasn't strong enough to light the area.
Imriel cried quietly, her knees pulled up to her chest. What had she done..?
"Ugh, this air is old..." Karasu coughed as she inhaled dust. "This.. is this the shrine?"
"Yes.. It is." A lurid glow spread throughout the room. At its center stood Neruheru, a vicious look in her eyes. She turned her gaze on Koniryu. "Ah.. well.. I thought more of you would be along."
The goddess slowly walked to the furthest wall. Her glow fell upon a portion of wall that was.. crystal? Suddenly her sickly light was refracted on the surfaces and there appeared before them two people... No, they were statues.. Two stone statues stood locked in crystal.
Karasu's jaw dropped. She.. couldn't make any of their features out.. the crytals was distorting them.. but she was sure those were... those were..
Neruheru placed her hand on the crystalline barrier gently. "Ahnema..." Her voice was almost tender. She shot a mirthful glance at Koniryu. "Valesti.."

Koniryu quickly put down Kukaju, untangling the Ieldi from his robes, eyes blazing. "Stay here," he barked, striding forward towards Neruheru. Around them, the dirt walls crackled as roots pushed through, drawn by Koniryu's power. The roots tangled and drew around the crystals, sheilding the figures within from view. "This is deeper than your secrets, Neru," he told her, firmly.
He was near-certain it wouldn't work. This was just the sort of thing Neru delighted in. He turned his head. "Get them out. Get them out now," he called out to Karasu.

Zydeco stirred lightly, her hand clenched and she tried her best to lift her head off the stone floor. He sight was fuzzy and she couldn't help but blink several times. There was a weird light and weird shapes and all this weird noise. That was all she could make out. She sat dumbly on the stone flooring and clutched the bloody gash, lump on her forehead.

Avelena ran to the side of the Ieldi and her kyunru, taking no notice of Koni and reaching down to stroke her precious little Oliver, her eyes all the time on Neru, watching her movement with extreme paranoia.
Oliver rubbed against both Avelena's touch and the little Ieldi's body, very confused and scared he curled his tail against himself and looked helplessly at his owner who's attention was on some strange scary lady...

Blinking in pure shock, Nai simply watches the scene unfold from her spot in the dirt near the side. A little voice in her head muttered nice goldfish impression, but she ignored it and kept staring.

Alex stared in awe. The figures were being covered, Koniryu's work. But why did it have to be hidden? Why couldn't they see? Alex shifted onto her knees and looked around the area, wondering if everyone was okay. Lucky for her, she didn't really have to look out for anyone other than herself.
Turning her gaze back to the two deities, she continued to wonder about the two statues.

chiri squeezed her eyes shut hard, in attempts to get the rolling pain out of her head. She shook it once and then blinked up, to only notice darkness in her sight. Damn. She looked around, pushing herself up into a sitting position as she heard voices around her and then... light... and then .. Neru. She looked familiar, from the rescue, wasn't she one that had lost an egg or something? Then her gaze fell upon the crystal statues. What were those? what were those names that Neru spoke of, they seemed important .... yet, if any time for chiri to just not speak, this was as good as any. Do not piss off any of the Pantheon... unless you wanted to die, ran through her mind. Oh, she hoped Orihime had some sense as well, if onyl she could see the little blue kyun in the dark. damn!
Orihime did have some sense as she collected her nerves and then lost them in a split second as she noticed the scary deity from last night. That was the one that had scared the little girl Ieldi, wasn't it? Orihime shrunk back some, yet remained curious of the crystals that they was speaking of.

Whimpering softly, Kujaku let Olivir go once his owner was there, and backed away from the two Pentheon. he had to run... somewhere. Turning, he simply fled away from them, not caring WHERE he went, just that he wasnt' THERE.

Avelena immediately stooped and picked up Oliver, keeping her eyes now on what seemed like their protectors...Rasu and Koniryu...she backed herself far away while still keeping them in eyesight as best she could. At some point she sensed the presence of a couple of the others and smiled wearily at them for but a moment.

Zydeco finally was able to shake off her dizziness, but it was replaced by the solid pounding from the wound on her head. She stared numbly at the statues and the pantheon. This is the exact reason why they made her so nervous, there darn power. She shook lightly and crawled on her hands and knees over to the others. "Is anyone else scared?" She mumbled.

Looking toward Zy and stroking a shaking little Oliver she nodded knowing no one could see her, "Oh, yeah, just a bit." Her voice was soft and her eyes immidiately returned to the current scene before them.

chiri nearly jumped hearing the soft whispers near her, "A little.. yeah..." She replied, scooting a little closer to the others. She paused, "have you guys seen 'hime?" She asked in a hushed voice, a bit worried about what exact trouble the Kyun could get into.
Orihime wasn't sure what to do. She twitched her ears about, in hopes of hearing the voice of her keeper, but she wasn't sure.. there was a bit of noise coming from all directions. She took a little step back, away from the trouble but still seemed stuck in the middle, but.. not too close to the arguing deities, thank goodness. But still... eep.

Avelena knelt down to the ground, clinging Oliver tight against her body as he burrowed against her. She looked to the others and began to wonder how good of a life she'd lived...she lived a good 20 years and then some, hey, maybe dying in the temple with a couple amazingly powerful gods is the way to go...the urge to cry became almost too much.
