Masao gave a laugh, ducking under the water for a moment to avoid the splash despite that it defeated the purpose some what. When he resurfaced again he gave Ryari a cheeky grin. "Can't handle a bit of playing?" he said jokingly.

"Of course I can!" She giggled and stuck out her tounge again. "Silly furball," she finished, swiping a splash with her tail this time.

Masao chuckled, splashing back at Ryari. "You know, keep calling me a furball and I may have to come up with a nickname for you too," he said with a smirk.

Ryari blinked when the splash got her. She narrowed her eyes. "Furball needs to think hard then." She said, drifting to shallow waters, she pounced at him.

"Oh, this furball will think long and hard about it," Masao said, narrowing his own eyes as Ryari let herself drift towards the shallower ends of the water. When she pounced at him, he didn't attempt to avoid her this time, letting her pounce him under the water.

Ryari landed squarely on Masao, plunging both of them under water. She let out a flurry of bubbles, and spin around in the current, clutching to his back. Her claws were sheathed of course.

Masao grinned, pushing them both back up to the surface as Ryari clung to his back. He give a quick turn to get her off his back once they had surfaced, giving a laugh while he did.

Ryari echoed his laugh, and was thrown off further downstream into a deeper, more pool like area. She scrabbled into the shallows to catch her breath. But she couldn't stop laughing. "Why didn't you move furball?!" She teased between breaths.

Catching her breath, she swam back to Masao, letting herself drift in the water. "Silly," She giggled. "But I'd have to agree." She giggled again, thrashing her sopping wet tail in the water.

Masao chuckled a little himself, swimming slow, small circles around Ryari for a moment. They were both rather soaked, and it would take them a while to dry off when they finally got out of the water. He managed to sneak a small nuzzle against Ryari as he passed her.

Ryari turned and mirrored the gesture, smiling happily. "Do you think we should get out now?" she questoned.

"We may want to so that we at least have a chance at being dry before the sun goes down again. It will take us a while as it is," Masao said with a nod of his head. "Come on, we can go find a good place to rest."

Ryari swam to the shore, shaking her sopping pelt. "Okay," she agreed. "Lets go!"

Masao swam his way to the shore as well, pulling himself out of the water and decided that he thoroughly looked like a drowned rat. He gave himself a shake to get rid of what he could, moving to trot forward and find a clear spot for him and Ryari to lay, preferably in the sun.
