Prodigy's thread hasn't been deleted as of yet, it was moved to site feedback, and TwoStar, Yume and josh responded in it.
I'm not sure what to make of the whole situation, i read back through the thread for May's donation items in the staff room but didn't pick up any hints there that sh'e got her idea else where, the items are unfortunately similar but what can i say.
i am making a point of looking through all the posts from the art contest though, so i'll know if a similar incident is likely to happen again..

Same reason for everything else, because the place is so damn disorganised rolleyes
Thing is i'm sure that i come ascoss as a bit of a nagging mother when i bring things that i consider need dealing with. but they'd better learn to deal with that if i'm kept on.
Hopefully Mike will be moving up to an Admin position soon, he's been the most helpful to me so far, so if i'm helpful towards him hopefully we can sort a few things out between us while Josh gets on with coding.

First off I am going to rant a bit...

While I realize that the site is new and is being run by high school kids, with the exception of a handful of people being mature, I am so sick and tired of reading that this shouldn't be there and that shouldn't be there and I can't believe someone's entire hangout thread was deleted because some snot nosed kid decided it was stupid and it shouldn't be there and reported them. And now there is someone whining because people are talking to each other in the Exchange forum?! Who cares?! If you're determined to buy something you will find out what the current price/highest bid is SOMEHOW.

I'm also sick of PMs asking me to go chat in this thread or that thread or go sign up for their buddy's site. If I wanted to chat in that thread I would post there but I have better things to do than talk about how I like this boy but he likes this other girl that I just hate and stuff I hear come out of my own 13 year old child.

Maybe guilds will be a good thing and maybe they should make it to where they are private in a sense that you have to join to be able to read anything (like Neo). That way people can have their conversations about whatever they want without worrying that they are going to upset someone simply because they are chatting in a thread that the other person doesn't like. I also think that guilds should be moderated by the group, although site mods and admins would be welcome to pop in from time to time (cept you jelly, you're always welcome wink ) And, as our own moderator we can deny membership if we so choose.

I also think that guilds should be allowed contests and prizes!! No one has to go in and change words or anything like that. Guild auctions...whatever.

I like the site and am growing quite fond of it (even attempted to make a banner for our pirate RP) but the maturity level sometimes makes me sad.

Vanilla was moaning to me about the Menewshan Gaian's thread, saying people shouldn't be allowed to talk about Gaia in Mene rolleyes
i pointed out to her that that thread was the first one i visited when i signed up, and there's a certain thing called freedom of speech..
she thought it should be locked rolleyes
some kids can't sem to understand that people talk about what they have in common as ice breaker, so that thread rpovides a haven for newbies, then they can move on and create their own once they feel more at home.

Yep that is the one. I couldn't believe that they would cater to a whiny little brat like that who felt that if they wanted to talk about Gaia to go and talk about Gaia on Gaia. Then again, I've also seen some bitter exchanges between some of the mods and some of the people (not you jelly, don't think I've seen anyone say anything mean to you) that are just as snotty.

It's too bad. I know you are only one person and can only do so much. They need to get more purkles on staff. We'd whip them in to shape in no time, LOL!

I just can't understand why it was deleted now. It's not like it was a small or new thread. It had been there for a while. Some people's kids, you just want to slap them. I would be interested in seeing the reasoning from the staff.

Wow guys, it was the Gaian Menewshan thread that was trashed? That was one of the first ones I posted on too. I wonder why Condom was banned? I'm so out of the loop when it comes to that place - I just try to enjoy it and not get into the drama. I have noticed a huge amount of snarkiness all over the place, though. Especially in some threads in the exchange. I've been really shocked to see how mean people can be in there! I think, too, there are people out there who are just desperate for attention, even if it's negative. So they're going to do/say whatever they can to get it. It's unfortunate and there've been many times I would love to retort to people, but I'm trying to kill with kindness and so far, I've not had snark directed at me too too terribly, luckily, so I guess it's working!

Jelly - I think you're doing a great job, You and Mike have been my mods of choice to go to. Mike's always been so helpful - I was a little sad when he got moved up in status because he wouldn't be as accessible with problems. But I am thrilled that you are in that role because you are my new Mike. smile Watch out! I think it's cool how you got the position too and don't worry. We won't say a word!

As for PB's design, maybe I'm just idealistic, but I didn't really see the similarities like others did beyond the whole white with gold trim thing. PB's design was more like a veil or something, not a cloak. And I guess it made me think more of a Final Fantasy white mage robe than anything else.

My time on Mene has mainly been in a few hangouts and in the questing section. I think that's where I'm having the most fun right now - in earning money and collecting pixels. I want to start playing in the avvy edit thread too because pixeling is fun. And do more in the lit section because I want to work more on drabbles and stuff for my novel.

I do admit, though, it's fun hearing about the behind the scenes stuff. I am sorry, though, that it's so frustrating, but I think you being there is a very good thing!
