(Uh, I'm fairly certain that doesn't happen until Halloween... which is WAY after the Fluffy incident. Trust me, I checked the timeline.
...Well, actually, I think Phobius glaring at Malfoy managed to help them bypass the Fluffy incident (at least for now), but point remains, if we're going to skip all the way to the troll incident, we should at least put in another timeskip or something - it's a bit unrealistic to go from the starting week, which starts SEPTEMBER FIRST, all the way to Halloween.
Just saying.)

Phobius and Harry similarly sat down, waiting for the Professor to start the class.

(...I blame writer's block. Why doth the writer's block hate me so? crying )

(*pats shoulder comfortingly* Quite all right; my memory of the books is a little fuzzy myself, hence why I looked up the timeline. And sure, works for me.)

The boys, meanwhile, were similarly heading to Transfiguration... only for the staircase the four of them were on to suddenly shift; Phobius glanced back sharply barely managed to get a glimpse of a long, white beard before its owner vanished. 'What's the old coot up to now...?' Nevertheless, the four of them continued onward, hoping there was an alternate route to get to Transfiguration.

(I have both book and movie knowledge, plus the Lego video games. xd )

Fortunately, Harry and Phobius did, in fact, follow, hurrying to a locked door at the end of the corridor. Phobius was quick to unlock it, and the four of them scurried into the room and shut the door behind them. They then all listened quietly, with the exception of their resident Pale, Dark, and Creepy, who was staring at the room with a sort of detached interest.

Once they were clear of the three-headed dog, Harry gave Katherine an incredulous look. "Since when is a giant three-headed dog that could eat the four of us 'cute'?" he asked, obviously still a little panicky.
"Actually, it's called a Cerberus, and it's just you three that could've been eaten - magical creatures are generally too scared of me to try and eat me... well, except for the stupid ones, and they generally try to maim me instead of eating me. Not sure which category that fell into" Phobius corrected absentmindedly. "Either way, I wouldn't have gotten eaten. That aside, am I the only one who noticed the trapdoor under the Cerberus's foot? Also, back on the staircase, am I the only one who caught a glimpse of a certain manipulative old coot before the stairs shifted?"
Harry paused, blinking at that, his panic attack derailed. "Er...what?" he asked weakly, trying to digest that last little tidbit.
Phobius sighed at that. "Of course... you were too busy panicking. What is it about fear that makes you people so unobservant?" he mumbled in irritation; honestly, the more he interacted with people, the more glad he was that he was only one-third human - emotions made humans so stupid sometimes... not that he was going to say that out loud, he didn't want to hurt Hermione's feelings - she seemed rather proud of her intelligence.

Phobius simply nodded before following the girls, a still-rather-confused Harry following behind. Fortunately, once they got to Transfiguration, McGonagall seemed to accept Phobius's partially true explanation that "The stairs shifted on us, so we ended up having to double back and take a detour", only deducting five points from each of them for tardiness. She then gave them a little speech, complete with briefly transfiguring her desk into a pig before handing them matches that they were meant to turn into needles.
Phobius stared a moment at the needle, then did a quick flick of his wand, and the match turned into a pitch-black needle (because black is the ultimate color). He then struck it against the table like a match, frowning slightly when the end of the needle caught on fire. "Well, I've got the appearance down pat, but I still need to work on figuring out how to make it not-flammable," he mumbled, snuffing out the little flame on the end before trying again.
Harry, on the other hand, wasn't having quite as much luck as Phobius, though he at least managed to give his match a point.

(WRONG! THE ORDER IS BLACK, PINK (I think it's a pretty color, don't judge me), THEN ANYTHING SHINY!!! BONUS POINTS IF IT'S SHINY BLACK OR SHINY PINK!!! 3nodding 3nodding 3nodding 3nodding 3nodding
...Seriously though, the "black is the ultimate color" thing is just from Phobius's (and my) point of view (which just so happens to be the correct point of view) - he prefers gray and white to pink and shiny, though.)

Harry nodded before trying again - this time he almost managed it, the only problem being that it still had a rectangular look to it instead of being round like a normal needle. Phobius, on the other hand, managed to get it completely right on his third try - it certainly wasn't flammable like a match, at any rate, and it had a certain shininess that confirmed it was made of metal like a normal needle.

(Should we timeskip to Halloween at this point?)

The boys similarly put their stuff away before following the girls, Harry smiling and chatting with Katherine and Phobius walking alongside Hermione in comfortable silence.

Phobius and Harry similarly got dressed and headed out to the Great Hall along with the rest of the Slytherins, meeting up with the girls for breakfast. Phobius nodded in greeting to Hermione, while Harry smiled at Katherine. "Morning, Kat. Did you sleep well?" the Boy-Who-Lived greeted his crush.
