Their numbers seemed endless. Not only did they seem endless, but every time he slayed a demon, it seemed like five others would jump up in order to replace the ones before it. Thankfully, Innocentius had been summoned, and the slight chill he had felt from the ice had completely disappeared. With one of Ignazio's familiars helping their cause, everything would naturally become easier than them just hacking at the Hobgoblins repeatedly. "Can I really be charged with keeping a secret? Is it a secret if you never asked about it?" questioned Lloyd with a laugh. His laugh, however, was interrupted when a Hobgoblin threw a chair at him. Jumping over the chair itself, he landed badly when a Hobgoblin had actually thrown a banana peel at his feet. Slamming into the ground, he rubbed his head repeatedly before looking at the Hobgoblins that proceeded to get closer and closer. After a small chanting done by Ignazio, the temperature of the area decreased, and when it did, Innocentius seemed to disappear completely. In its place was a bright crimson blade, and as Ignazio held the blade outwards, he could not help but stand up once again. If someone who was not used to close combat was going to charge in to combat, then he would help in whatever way he could.
Ignazio held a fencer's stance and as he dispatched the Hobgoblins that dared to get closer to him, Lloyd gripped his own blades tighter before moving over in Ignazio's direction. "That number does not instill happiness at all, but I would assume that the above average Qi signatures belong to that of a teacher or two. Perhaps our Headmaster has finally made his debut in reclaiming his school." Although, for the future, there would have to be some type of defense in case other attacks similar to this one happened again. It shocked him to know that there were no methods put in place to halt invasions, but that was a discussion for another time. "I have to agree with you. If we really are the only capable ones that have returned to the school, then facing more of these demons in various other parts of the school is going to become rather tedious. I doubt that even we can keep this up for several hours." The time it took for them to slay all of the demons mattered not to Lloyd, for no matter what happened, he intended to fight until he could no longer move his body in accordance with his will. Only then, would he worry about the outcome of their battles.

Nodding to agree with Lloyd Ignazio covered himself from being attacking moving side to side as much as he possibly could and then utilizing the flames of Innocentius with every thrust and swing of the rapier burning away in form of attack coming towards him. Ignazio found himself moving quickly forward and backwards as he spun the blade around in a circular motion as he struck towards chairs and various other weapons. As the another goblin came up from behind him; Ignazio quickly took notice and as his blade was between chairs and kitchen knives he performed a swift parry and riposte, swiftly countering the weapons by launching them into the air and spinning his body to the left to take on the approaching with a swift block. Ignazio pushed upwards with the rapier and then cross stepped before leaping away from the demons. ’He’s right, the numbers we are taking out right now are extremely small. If it keeps up like this we won’t be able to move forward.’ Ignazio slid to a stop and continued moving backwards as he dodged and slashed with the rapier to parry attacks away from his body. Ignazio utilized the nine classical parries comprised of basic bladework in fencing. Ignazio wasn’t a master in terms of sword skills, or any weapon for that matter, but he did know some basics and had the liberty of learning from some of the members of Lloyd’s family when he was younger. The problem was, and still is the fact Ignazio lacked the stamina of a swordsman, or the physical strength to take on larger targets or wield heavier weapons. Ignazio breathed heavily as he came to a stop and noticed the demons had closed him in, taking a step backwards his back tapped against the wall. Ignazio turned his head slightly and the swore under his breath before pointing the blade at the approaching demons. This wasn’t looking good, but then again, there was something he could do in this situation to at least by himself some time from running around. He was a tamer, not a knight. Ignazio eyes closed shut for a second as he took in a deep breath before exhaling, allowing his eyes to slowly open. As they opened the temperature around his body began to increase rapidly before the crimson blade grew thicker and brighter in color as well as size before catching a mighty blaze.

As the flames swelled up, Ignazio’s eyes widen as he released them from the sword ”Innocentius!” he yelled as the blade expanded into the flames as they once were swallowing all the demons at once. Ignazio’s right hand was open as the flames appeared as if they were coming from the tamer. He watched and listened to the cries of the demons as they were swallowed by the flames. Innocentius’ body began to form again in front of its master. Soon more demons came forth and the demon waved its hand towards them knocking them into the wall with a mighty fireball. Ignazio smirked and slowly allowed his body to fall along the wall. He needed to rest. All the running around and striking was tiring him out. Looking up at Innocentius’ back Ignazio lowered his head and then mutter ”I order you, Innocentius, to burn everything that comes in this area to ash. Protect me until I’ve recovered enough to be useful. Do not fail me Innocentius! This I command of you!” Ignazio yelled as the flames began to wrap around the two as the giant fiend let out a cry as well while sending out waves of fire to destroy every hobgoblin foolish enough to come towards Ignazio and himself.
Closing his eyes a smile came upon his face. Ignazio sat there and just breathed as he couldn’t do anything but that. His chest pounding as his heart was racing, he could feel his lungs as they tried to keep up and gather as much air as possible to allow proper circulation through the body. A headache slowly started to form on his left side. The trembles coming from his brain were almost louder than the ones coming from his chest. Ignazio turned and looked at Lloyd but then turned his head and sighed after watching him fall on his face. ”Idiot, what were you thinking. Watch where you’re going.” Ignazio said in a low tone so Lloyd couldn’t hear him. Placing his hands on his knees and his head rested on the wall Ignazio allowed the heat from Innocentius to lull him away into a light sleep, but nothing that would cause him to drift away, just a tropical feeling that would relax him and his muscles. It felt nice, just like entering a sauna, or a hot tub, just without the water, or the sexy patrons who would typically serve him or try seducing the tamer.
Raising his head from the wall as he thought about the heat and the feelings it brought to mind he tried to remember the reason why they were fighting and tried to put all the pieces together. ”Rotten flesh, alright it attracted them in a large number, but flesh takes little over a day to start rotting or at least smelling, but due to the recent weather changes there is no way flesh could start that decaying process so soon. So that could mean a few things, either someone planted bodies somewhere and lured them here, or someone summoned all of these demons or worse, there is a nest somewhere close by and its feeding time, which is why they are attacking in such a manner. Hobgoblins typically guard the food during hunting season, but they branch out and hunt only when the Queen isn’t pleased with the original hunt. That only happens when it’s close for a nest to hatch. This isn’t adding up though. It takes years for a nest to be established, then again it would have to be somewhere dark, and cold, somewhere the light can’t touch the younglings when they are born, and the time framing for these creatures to be nesting is off, normally goblins don’t give birth until the middle of summer or during winter, when the nights are longer.” Ignazio sat there thinking out loud while Innocentius did all the work, swatting away pesky demons like they were flies.

Ignazio just sat there and relaxed recovering. This basically was the life of a tamer and an aria for the most part. Sitting around and fighting from a distance. Although as a tamer, most of the time you’re never tired unless you have to chase after a familiar in combat, but in open ranges like this, the tamer could just sit back and relax and recover any lost energy. Ignazio remained seated as Innocentius raised a wall of fire around the two of them in order to keep the hobgoblins away, but then that meant they would change targets and go after the young knight. That’s something Ignazio didn’t wish to happen. ”Innocentius” Ignazio muttered as he looked up at the fiend, his eyes swirling with the glossy reflection of the flames dancing around them and with a simple glance the demon understood its master’s will. Ignazio sometimes didn’t need to speak or even use telepathy to talk to his familiars, his bound and skills were strong enough that they could understand each other through will alone now, it was like becoming one with each other. Ignazio enjoyed that.
Ignazio could feel the demon’s inner rage, it was screaming for more destruction, mid-level demons like Garuda and Innocentius were difficult to tame on their own, and that’s not including the new addition to his demon family. Ignazio couldn’t bear to think of the amount of Qi he would have to come up with in order to feed the hunger of the Bahamut. It was already unthinkable for him to summon one, the fact he was able to capture it was also a mystery to him. Did the Bahamut truly wish to be captured, or did he actually win? The questions swirled through the tamer’s mind as he sat there regaining his strength, he knew anymore stunts like the one he pulled before, would cause the end to his life. Ignazio made up his mind, he would stand back and just allow Innocentius to do all the work, just like a tamer was supposed to; while providing support as his master, Ignazio was going to finish the rest of the demons off alone if he had to. He already didn’t want to spend any more time dealing with them, and he didn’t want to see Lloyd make a fool of himself again, slipping on banana peels. Luckily there wasn’t anyone around to see this, or it would be social suicide for both of their reputations. Ignazio didn’t need to rebuild that, and didn’t have the time or energy to either. He just thanked his lucky stars on this one.

Ignazio remained sitting down as Innocentis raged once again calling the flames to swell closer to the two, master and servant pair. Innocentius soon lashed out releasing the flames as a long chain whip slashing the demons that were leaving the sight of Ignazio and Innocentius, Ignazio smirked and shook his head. ”Bad move on you guys, I mean fearing a mid-level demon at your level is wise, but turning your backs on someone like Innocentius is seen as an insult, and he won’t take kindly to that.” Ignazio mocked as he continued relaxing allowing his strength to return to him. Ignazio’s eyes closed slowly as he listened to the demons scream as they were whipped and burst into flames. The sound of flames clawing at their demonic flesh was like listening to popcorn in a microwave. Ignazio enjoyed that sound, but it was slightly making him hungry. With each crack of the whip and the recoiled snap Innocentius released a roar, as he attracted demons to him. Soon the fiery demon clinched the whip tightly before it burst into a massive roar of fire and became the large cross blade once again. Ignazio opened his eyes and to watch as the demons were swatted down left and right with the large burning weapon.
Their disintegrating flesh was enough to bring joy into Ignazio’s hear. His eyes flashed around the area as he started counting the remaining hobgoblins that he could see. With Innocentius’ body in the way he couldn’t really see anything, until he closed his eyes once again and allowed his senses to be linked with Innocentius’. This allowed Ignazio to remotely see what Innocentius saw. This was great for spying when he wanted to obtain information from Garuda about an area or an enemy. Ignazio continued to count the enemies and even had a closer view on the cross blade destroying the demons. The golden flames clinched within the burning fingers of the fiend was a glorious sight when viewed through the eyes of Innocentinus, typically Ignazio and most humans can’t look at the blade for too long, due to the raging flames and the heat. Innocentius’ pact to Ignazio only could protect him from so much of his own power before he had no control over the dangers that came with being the master of a fire demon. Ignazio’s eyes opened as he finished counting the demons and Innocentius smashed the large blade on top of the final demon causing a large crater to appear beneath it.
A sigh escaped Ignazio’s mouth as he slowly shook his head. ”We started off with near thirteen hundred hobgoblins, and now we are nearing the halfway mark. A few more minutes and I think we actually will be able to finish them all off. Some even appear to be running away back to Gehenna; at least the ones afraid from becoming barbequed by Innocentius’ wrath.” Ignazio said as he took in another deep breath and then started to stand up after moving his right hand through his hair. ”Thank you Innocentius, I’ve recovered pretty well. But I think I’m going to let you take out the rest of them. I remove the chains that bind you to sanity.” Ignazio said giving a wicked smile as looked towards the battle around Lloyd. ”Wipe them all out Innocentius. Protect Lloyd, make sure no harm comes to him.”

After speaking to the fiend, Ignazio reached his left hand out slowly and reached towards the orange and red flames. The flames started to swirl and circle around the tamer’s paw, hugging them before his hand was engulfed in the flame. Ignazio took hold of the flames that slightly felt like metal, he then pulled back revealing chain of flames that began to unravel coming from all directions of the demon’s body. Innocentius roared as its power began to rage at an unstoppable force. Ignazio even had to pull his left hand and right closer to his face to brace himself from the heat. Ignazio pulled on the chain as the others began to connect to the single chain in Ignazio’s hand. It was almost like holding a dangerous guard dog on a chain leash; well Innocentius was as dangerous as they came. ”Innocentius! Go forth!” Ignazio called out as he lashed his left hand causing the beast to turn into a sea of fire before raging around the entire cafeteria. The chains of fire seemed to vanish from Ignazio’s hand as the flames raged around the room. Ignazio stood there and cross his arms across his chest. Ignazio watched the orange and red sea that was taking over the cafeteria. Ignazio was a little disappointed he didn’t have a real audience for this display of skill, seeing how the only audience was going to be dead soon, he didn’t really find that very fun for sport.
Innocentius’ body soon emerged from the flames after slamming into the ground behind Lloyd. The flames raged and created an arena of fire around them blocking off the exit. Ignazio suddenly felt a presence near his barrier at the front of the cafeteria entrance. Looking over through the flames he noticed the fire was rubbing against the barrier, trying to break free. Ignazio sighed as he lowered his head. ”Good thing I did put up a barrier, or Innocentius would burn the whole school down. Although, that wouldn’t be bad for a cover up story, seeing how this is the cafeteria, if a fire did start in here it wouldn’t be unheard of. But then again, I should start a fire without actual permission, seeing how last time I used Innocentius for personal battle reasons, father wasn’t very happy.”
Ignazio raised his head and watched as Innocentius prepared himself for battle roaring at the demons as they circled around. Ignazio closed his eyes and awaited for it all to be over as he leaned against the wall. ”Burn them to nothing; Innocentius.”

Dashing forwards, he lept into the air, bringing his first blade down upon the head of a Hobgoblin. With a slight turn of his body, his second blade slashed through another Hobgoblin before he landed on the ground. Once his feet had touch the ground though, he was off on his feet. Lloyd seemed to be something of a blur before he skidded to a stop in front of a crowd of demons. Durandal was tossed high into the air, and as the demons watched the blade enter the air, they took their eyes off of Lloyd. Using the opening given to him, he quickly brought Excalibur down and across his body in a horizontal slash. When Durandal finally fell back down towards him, he caught it in a reversed-style way of gripping his blade. In order to ensure that he would not loose a blade while fighting, he spun Excalibur around in his hand before holding that before he was also reverse-gripping the Legendary Blade. Dual wielding a set of blades was hard on its own, but to hold them in a non-typical fashion was something few could do, and even fewer did on their own.
What brought him joy in the midst of battle as well was seeing that Ignazio, a tamer, was actually holding his own in combat with a blade. Lloyd could remember a time when he did not wish to wield blades because being a tamer did not require him to use blades, but seeing him as a well-rounded fighter now made him quite happy. "This is not going well. While I may have Excalibur in my hands, I can not risk utilizing its abilities within the school. The building, or a large part of it would be destroyed without any warning. Then, there are those that would be caught in the blast around the school, and would have no way of avoiding an attack that they would not see coming until the last minute." Ignazio's blade glowing had caught his eye, but when he had finally gotten the chance to turn his head, the blade had become Innocentius once more. As he blocked make-shift weapons once again, he had taken notice of one thing. Ignazio had disappeared momentarily from his sight, and thinking back on what Ignazio was class wise, he would assume the male was recovering strength.
"I can not tell what is going on anymore. But it is well past the time for things to change.." Breathing in and out quickly, he adjusted himself so that he would be able to move despite the amount of energy it took to breathe during a fight. "Celebron!" Immediately, the Cat Sidhe roared like a lion in triumph before the sound of metal clashing rang aloud through the area. His earrings had connected, and when they did, the air itself seemed to bend for a moment before another Lloyd stood up tall besides him. This one possessed cat-like eyes, but was Lloyd in all terms. The only thing different was Excalibur. In the illusions' hands another copy of Durandal sat where Excalibur should have. Both males proceeded forwards, and the mere sight of two Lloyd's was enough to confuse the Hobgoblins completely. Those that went for the illusion were cut down by Lloyd who would stop abruptly before moving to the illusions' side. But, when they began to figure out what was happening, Lloyd put a hand to Celebron, causing the Cat Sidhe to stop his usage of the illusions.

Moments after Celebron had ceased his illusions, a large Hobgoblin had shot towards the two at a rather fast speed, and while he had avoided the demon, the sudden movement from Lloyd had caused Celebron to loose his footing before being tossed into a nearby table. The force of impact had knocked the small demon out, and immediately, Lloyd's facial expression became one of pure anger. Immediately after, the Hobgoblins had charged at Celebron's location and just before they could attack the small Cat Sidhe, Lloyd had scooped him up in his arms before jumping off of the head of a smaller Hobgoblin. Bounding off of the demon's head, Lloyd flipped gracefully over the demons that had taken to his location before landing on another unmoved table. Various hobgoblins began to swipe at his feet and as they did, he continued to jump up and down before kicking back at their swiping hands. With both of his blades in his hands, and Celebron in his arms as well, he could not do much movement without risking the loss of anything currently in his possession. A knife was used to swipe at his leg, and as it cut into his pants leg before swiping his skin, he winced in pain before jumping backwards off of the table. Just as he was about to be attacked once more, the flames from Innocentius had reduced the Hobgoblins closest to him into mere ashes.
Nodding a quick thanks, he made his way behind one of the flipped tables, and put Celebron down between the table and a small corner of the Cafeteria. There were not many Hobgoblins near the area he had laid his familiar down in, and until Celebron woke up, he would have to keep him out of harms way. "Rest here my friend. When you are able, rejoin me in this battle.." Touching the Cat Sidhe's head once more he stood tall before turning back to look at the Hobgoblins of the area. Some were moving towards where the barrier had been, but the flames of Innocentius prevented them from approaching it. "It would be better if the flames are contained within the Cafeteria. Like it or not, the flames will prevent the Hobgoblins from trying to breach the barrier. Assuming they do not wish to be burned to a crisp, they are forced to remain within the confines of the Cafeteria. With not many places to go off to, it should become easier for us to dispatch of them..." Flipping his blades around in his hands, he returned to holding his blades the standard way. They had injured his familiar, and now, things had become rather personal. Not to mention they had managed to afflict a physical wound on his person not once, but twice. "Prepare yourself for the end demons, and allow me to usher you along into oblivion."

Fire, the very sight caused a spark of pure excitement to be filled in the iris of Ignazio’s eyes as he watched the burning rivers strike through demon after demon. Ignazio didn’t have to move, nor did he have to worry about using his energy, Innocentius had enough Qi still to keep fighting, which allowed its master to focus on regaining the lost Qi he’s used. Ignazio watched as the fiend moved from a fiery sea to becoming a massive demon and destruction devouring goblin after goblin as if they were nothing to him but a snack. His arms still crossed Ignazio remained in his location perfectly stable, and untouched, even when goblins had appeared around him a smirk appeared on his face before they were impaled with blades of fire striking them from above and behind. Ignazio remained calm as the flames burned into the walls around his body and the screams of the now deceased hobgoblins echoed in his ears until everything went silent. ”There aren’t many more left. Lloyd, let’s hit them from both sides. Innocentius will take care of the ones running away towards the barrier, you take care of the ones in the center of the cafeteria!” Ignazio called out to his partner as his eyes opened and he watched as Innocentius had moved positions and stood in front of the barrier.
With a mighty roar, the flames rose to their master and covered the barrier behind him while expanding outwards ravaging through the crowds of hobgoblins. The fire whooshed and waved through the demons as it dug into the ground burning through the title, knocking it up and destroying it with the seer hear before engulfing the goblins as they ran away from the torrent. Ignazio watched the flames rage onward and remembered the chains of Innocentius within his hands. He knew if the beast ever tried to go out of control he’d have the ability to stop it and if it came down to it he would send Innocentius back to where he belonged. Ignazio clinched the chains of fire in his left hand and continued to watch on, as he felt his Qi returning to him.

Ignazio continued to watch as Innocentius raged onward standing as the gatekeeper to the halls. The tamer closed his eyes once more and slowly started to think about the possible methods in which the hobgoblins could have come to such numbers. ’The ventilation system would be my first guess, although now that I’m thinking about it, we smelled the rotting smell outside, so if it originated in the academy there is no way it would be so strong outside too.’ Ignazio placed his right index finger and thumb on his chin as he thought to himself. Opening his golden eyes he found himself forgetting about the battle and entering his own mental world in which he only focused on the facts he was being dealt. Of course it would be easier if he wasn’t in the middle of a battle ground and monitoring Innocentius. Ignazio looked to the left as he continued to focus on the facts. As he stood there thinking, the smell of rotting flesh was practically gone due to the smell of melted metal and the burning corpses of demons covered up that smell. It was a little better than smelling the dead rotting flesh of humans, and there was no telling if it was really rotting flesh, it could have just been an accident caused by a Page knocking over a large amount of old blood on the ground. But the problem with that solution was the small fact classes weren’t in session until Monday; even for cram school.
Something wasn’t adding up, and Ignazio couldn’t figure it out, there was something he was missing, but he couldn’t figure out what was missing. Silver strands of hair combed down in front of his sparkling eyes as he thought to himself. Moving his right hand away from his chin and through his hair he combed it back and sighed. The heat was ruining the product in his hair, causing it to dry out faster, causing his head to sweat and loosen the foundation he had created. A low growl came from under his breath as he looked in the direction of the fiend whom seemed to be enjoying its slaying spree, but all this was just making Ignazio’s life a living Hell. His hair was starting to look less stylish, as half of it was styled and the other half was flattening, showing the extent of his hair, which fell to his shoulders. Ignazio really didn’t like people to know how long his hair actually was, which is why he always styled it, but the fact it was falling down, was not something he was enjoying. But as fast as he was getting angry the anger disappeared as he noticed something different about the cafeteria. He could actually see most of it. The hobgoblin numbers had diminished a lot in the past half hour. ”There’re almost all gone. I can’t believe I didn’t notice. I keep forgetting how small they actually were. We’ve been at this for so long. To think I originally thought this was going to be a short battle, but the fact these little cockroaches kept multiplying was making killing them difficult.” Ignazio said but then the fact hit him. ”Multiplying. That’s it, someone increased their multiplication process within the breeding of hobgoblins. That’s got to be why they just keep appearing through these rifts. Normally if one escaped and told the Queen what was going on either she’d appear to avenge her young, or she’d call them back, but that hasn’t happened. Not even once.”

Ignazio took a step forward and began to move back into the battle field, he felt his strength had returned enough that he could fight again. ”Innocentius” the tamer muttered as he raised his left hand and the burning golden chains appeared before the fiend erupted into a massive blizzard of flames raging across the battle ground. As the heated wind brushed against his cheeks Ignazio could feel his power and Innocentius merging once again as the creature fed off of him. Ignazio knew that in order to control a midlevel demon or even an upper level demon one would have to supply them with a significantly larger amount of Qi. The fact these spectacular being were so powerful the price they cost the summoner was worth it, in the eyes of any member of the Barthomeloi family. As the flames swirled around the open palm of Ignazio the tamer waved his hand in a single motion towards the approaching demons causing the flames of Innocentius to rage in the same motion obliterating everything touched by the fire. Ignazio lowered his hand and placed both hands into his pockets as the fire swirled around again, this time around his body before the beast appeared behind its master with both arms around Ignazio’s body as if to hug him within the flames. Ignazio’s eyes closed as he felt the warm embrace of the fiend and then his eyes opened and the flames completely consumed him as Innocentius roared turning its own body into a tornado of nothing but flames around Ignazio’s body. The tamer remained calm as he looked around the area selecting targets for Innocentius to strike. The flames did just as they were instructed and stretched outwards from the twisting pool of destruction; piercing everything Ignazio made eye contact with.
After the targets were pierced Ignazio lowered his head, revealing his hair was no longer styled, and laid flat against his neck and shoulders. Pulling his left hand out of his pocket with a rubber band he pulled his hair into a small, tight ponytail before letting out a sigh. The number of the demons was dwindling and the amount of strength Ignazio had recovered in his short rest was well lived, being able to catch his breath was a blessing. ”Alright, so who’s behind this, is the question.” Ignazio said to himself out loud as he snapped his fingers allowing Innocentius to take form once again as the beast devoured approaching demons once again with his flames while Ignazio started walking again, ever slowly down the long line towards the door. ’This will all be over by time I reach the door.’ he thought as he paced his steps, taking one step every time he heard the flames crash into a hobgoblin.

As Ignazio continued walking he came into a swarm of hobgoblins racing to attack him after witnessing their comrades being slain. Ignazio Pushed his hands together and held the seal for Rin, before releasing a burst of his Qi through the area and with a lower voice he called out ”Bai”, this single command sent a surge of Qi through the hobgoblin’s bodies, one surge that not only stopped their movements but made it so they were unable to move on their freewill. Ignazio continued to walk pass them as Innocentinus was traveling from behind just as slowly holding his large burning crucifix like sword. As he moved passed the line of hobgoblins, Ignazio turned his back to his current path and faced the frozen goblins before looking at Innocentius whom stood at the other end awaiting an order. ”Normally I’d torture all of you, one by one, but unfortunately I’m in a hurry. So I’m going to cut you a deal. You’re going to tell me who sent you here, or Innocentius will deliver a punishment harsher than Iblis himself could inflict on you lower leveled creatures.” Ignazio snarled as he lowered his sealed hand and his fingers untwined as he walked towards the middle of the group and looked around. ”So which one of you want to talk?” he asked with a large sadistic smile on his face. The hobgoblins tried squirming around and were making all kinds of sounds; simple grunts and moans for the most part. D-Class demons typically never had the ability to talk, but hobgoblins were somewhere between D-Class and C-Class, some possessed the ability to talk, while others were simply lost in their animalistic senses. Ignazio listened around as he looked through the group for an either extremely silent hobgoblin or one that couldn’t typically be heard due to all the other squeals.
An unpleased look appeared on Ignazio’s face as he shook his head and shoved his hands into his pockets before walking back down the path towards the door leading to the hallway, which was still protected by his barrier. ”That’s too bad, and here I thought you creatures valued your lives a little more. I guess everything we exorcist are taught is correct about low class demons. You’re all ignorant, even to your own lives.” Upon reaching the end of the line of demons Ignazio closed his eyes again and then opened them and looked forward with a cold expression. ”Devour everything; Innocentius.” he coldly said as he started to move forward. Innocentius roared loudly as he agreed with the command of his master. The temperature in the area began to increase again, as flames started to form in a massive wave around the group of demons, locking them into what appeared to be an arc of fire.

With the arc of fire created Innocentius raced forward with a slight laughter circling the flames from the fiend himself. Ignazio listened to the devilish chuckle and couldn’t help to laugh himself. ”Enjoy your dinner, Innocentius” upon the words of his master, the flames imploded on the many targets it had captured thanks to Ignazio’s fatal verse. As the fire swelled around the goblins leaving nothing behind, as they died, Innocentius appeared out of the center of the dying flames holding the cross blade in its right hand. Ignazio stopped walking again and then looked towards the door and at the remaining hobgoblins, they seemed to be avoiding him and the fiend as they approached the door. Ignazio turned and looked over towards Lloyd’s location and then back to the door after scanning the area for further numbers of the goblins, just as a precaution. He didn’t want to get a surprise attack from behind or flanked from one of the sides that he didn’t scan properly. Ignazio nodded his head and noticed they were retreating away from him and Innocentius. ”Looks like that last attack, struck fear into them, don’t you think Innocentius?” Ignazio asked the demon as he started walking again. ”Rip the rest of them apart, limb for limb.” he commanded as the fiend obliged and once again became a river of fire before dashing passing his master and crashing into the fleeing demons.

Suddenly outside the walls of True Cross, news crews were gathering around and were followed by fire trucks. Suddenly the speaker systems of the schools were activated, and a distorted voice began speaking. “Welcome, everyone. I applaud you for making it thus far, and extend all of you an invitation to join me in Pandemonium. Many of you have proven yourself here today, while those of you were completely outclassed, there is still hope yet for you to level up. I am the game master Vesalius, some of you have already found your way into one of Pandemonium’s many battles, but be sure to know this isn’t just any game. It’s a battle of life and death. This is only the beginning everyone. Prepare yourselves for battle. If you want power, money, and status beyond your dreams, then come to Pandemonium and achieve victory by defeating me in the Tower of Salvation. I’ll await you all there.” With that being said the speakers were deactivated and the hobgoblins all vanished into purple like rifts leaving behind the damage they had caused and the damaged caused by those facing them. The news casters began questioning the students outside in the courtyard, while cameras were taping the school and the victims of the Pandemonium epidemic. This begins our tale into the first chapter of DoD, the title of this arc is Tokyo RPG.

The very first blade that made an attempt at Celebron's location felt Excalibur's blade pierce its throat, and slamming hard onto the ground, the creature was pushed onto its back before it disintegrated. Pulling Excalibur from the ground he ran forwards into the crowd itself, cutting down any that stood in his way. Each of them met the same fate, although, those that even though to look in Celebron's general direction met a worse fate. "I was careless, and because of that, Celebron was hurt. Not only was he hurt, but I've been forced to hide him behind a mere table in order to truly safeguard him. I promise you Celebron, when you wake up, I will make it up to you." Sidestepping another attack on him, he crouched down low before slamming his foot directly into the gut of the closest Hobgoblin. Hearing Ignazio's words, he nodded his head in agreement before moving to the center of the Cafeteria. Once there, he held his blades out from his body as a small circle began to form around him. Each time a demon leaped towards him, they met his blade, and if they didn't they were sidestepped so that they could slam into another demon.
Ignazio had begun to rationalize the attack and the implications behind the Hobgoblin attack as well, and while he did so, he continued to cut them down one at a time. "So, we have a horde of Hobgoblins that have appeared, and possibly have no place to return to. If a Queen never appeared, then its possible that she no longer exists, or wherever she may be, they simply can not get back to her." Then, a group of Hobgoblins had lifted up one of the nearby tables and had charged him with the large object. Having been pushed up against the wall, he began to push back, but as he did so, more and more Hobgoblins began to back their fellow demons up in holding the Sword Saint back. With the small portion of room he had managed to give himself, he jammed Durandal through the table itself, impaling the three closest demons through their chests. Almost immediately after, the pressure on the table was released and with a mighty heave, he had shoved the table back over and on top of the Hobgoblins, essentially flattening them beneath the table. Taking a moment to examine the area, his eyes had moved over to Ignazio who had gotten closer to his own barrier than where he last was.
Then, as he prepared to help Innocentius finish off the rest of the Hobgoblins in the area, the school's speaker system turned itself on, but the voice that came through was nothing he could recognize. "Applaud us? Is this some type of joke?" What Lloyd had also noticed as the announcement played was that the Hobgoblins had stopped their assault, and even the ones near him and begun to back away from him. "Money, Power, and Status? Go to Pandemonium in the Tower of Salvation..?" Even as he tried to put everything together, no name, nor face came to his mind, and once the voice stopped altogether, purple rifts began opening up around the bodies of the remaining Hobgoblins, and soon enough they had all disappeared. His leg wobbled momentarily before he fell to a knee in order to catch his breath. Holding Excalibur near his left shoulder blade, the area began to glow a bright golden color before the Demon Blade was sealed back within his body. Sliding Durandal back into the sheath around his waist, he stood up before moving over to the location where he had hidden his familiar. The Cat Sidhe remained ever-still and as he pulled the small demon into his arms, he walked over to Ignazio before speaking. "Now then, that answers everything surrounding the Hobgoblins, but I have a question for you now. What are we to do about this 'Pandemonium'? Shall we find another student capable of handling themselves in such a situation, or are we to go there after we have healed and rested?" While he may not have had many visible injuries, his body was still pretty bruised up, and he was not one to give extra praise to himself when it was not deserved. He knew his limitations, and if he was to operate at full capacity, then he would need to rest, even if only for a few minutes.
