((Boo hoo! I missed doing an entry for the last writing contest. Viper, if you don't mind could we extend the prompt from last month through this one? Since no one has entered and I still want to have a shot at it. cat_smile

Then again, I checked and realised that this one has been up since July so that is two months. If you want to change it, we can. I'm still going to do an entry though.))

((I never did get to write an entry to this one on time. So here is my very belated attempt. Sorry if it’s crappy. I guess this prompt was harder than I thought. I think this fic about the seagull girl isn't my best writing but it does give me some rp ideas for my guild!))

Sept 2013
This months prompt (#6) is...

Sept 2013 WINNER

They didn’t quite know what to make of it. The labour had been a fairly normal one, bordering dangerously close to being called easy. Everything about her pregnancy had gone smoothly. Her cravings for fish and chips and other salty foods hadn’t been too demanding. So, she had managed to maintain a healthy weight. In the later stages, walks along the beach beside their waterfront home had done wonders for relaxing them both and clearing their heads in preparation for changes to come; for their new life ahead with a small person to care for.

But now, in the delivery room, the cries of seagulls and the rush of waves and wind filled the air, as clear as day, like the beach was outside the window.

The midwife and the nurses were all gathered around the child whose shrill mewls tugged at the new mother’s heart, made her arms ache to hold them. She could hear the hushed chatter of the nurses. Why hadn’t they handed her their baby yet? Panic started to set in. “Is…is something wrong?” she rasped, her throat still a little raw from screaming earlier.

A gentle squeeze on her hand and she looked up to see her husband, with a reassuring smile for her. “It will be all right, Medin. I’m sure they’re just doing some routine tests” he soothed, yet she sensed the underlying worry in his tone. She frowned, trying to see past the huddle of medical staff to the baby they were fussing over. Seagulls kreened in their ears.

“Where…where are those sounds coming from? Is someone playing them for us?” she asked tiredly, confused. Ignoring her husband’s hand that gently smoothed strands of sweat soaked hair away from her forehead, her blue eyes roamed the white walls and the dotty tiles on the ceiling. She couldn’t see any speakers located in the birthing suite; just a normal CD player in a corner on a small table. But they hadn’t brought any relaxation music.

If this was someone’s idea of a joke then it wasn’t very amusing. The CD player wasn’t the area where the sounds were emanating. Deavon seemed to be thinking the same thing and was just about to walk over to ask someone what was going on when their midwife broke away from the other women and walked over to them with an apologetic smile.

“I’m sorry for making you wait,” she said, “everything’s all fine. We had to wait for the doctor to get here to check something for us. There’s no need to worry, your child is perfectly healthy. We just found some strange markings on her back but they seem harmless. The doctor thinks it could be a birth mark” she explained.

“Though we’ve never seen anything like it, it doesn’t seem to be affecting her. Apart from the noise” she gestured, drawing attention back to the seaside sounds that all of them could hear. “We can’t find anything that would explain it but these noises seem to be coming from her or around her. We checked the CD player and there’s no player in it. And the other rooms either side of you aren’t playing any music”

Now that she mentioned it, Medin and Deavon did realise; the sounds were loudest near the area where the baby was. In fact, they were oddly familiar.
“Her?” Deavon asked, “It’s a girl” he smiled, and a grin spread across his face, despite the strange circumstances surrounding the baby.

“Can I hold her now? I want to see her” Medin replied, unable to believe what was happening. “I want to see these markings”

“Sure, the nurses have got her all cleaned up for you. They’re just bringing her over” the woman said kindly, patting Medin’s knee before moving aside as a tiny bundle wrapped in a thin blue and white blanket was placed into the mother’s reaching arms.

They never forgot the first time they saw her. The way she cried, it sounded just like a young sea bird. And the little scrawl on her shoulder that made them draw back the blanket to reveal the words in bright blue that shimmered in cursive writing before sparkling slowly out of existence, as the sounds of the sea faded from the delivery room. ‘kree kree kreeee kree kree, shriii, shriii, mew mew mew’ and other onomatopoeia along with pictures of waves and surf. Her mother’s blue eyes stared back at them; deep and bright like the ocean.

“You know, the only thing I can think of is that new music store that opened up in town; ‘Enchantments’ I think it was called” one of the nurses mentioned, looking at the small family thoughtfully. “The other day, we had a delivery of a baby boy with the lyrics to one of my favourite songs scrawled on his back. Before they faded I asked the mother about it and she said she had listened to that very song in the store a few months ago using their headphone sets”

“We listened to a cd with sounds of the ocean” Deavon recalled. “Medina wanted to hear it, even though we live next to the water. Now that I think about it, ever since she heard that song, she was acting strange”

“And now our daughter acts like a sea gull!” Medina shouted.

Just outside the door, a man wearing a doctor’s outfit flashed a devilish grin. Good, another successful enchantment had been made. His little music shop was the perfect cover for his spells to work on the people of this town!

Oct 2013
This month's prompt (#13) is...

It’s October again and that means that a certain holiday is just around the corner; Halloween! Whether your character/s likes it, hates it, or is completely indifferent, they somehow end up having a curse put on them this year. The curse is called ‘pumpkin belly’. It means that any person who becomes pregnant that year will have a very unnatural pregnancy. Their belly will look like just like a pumpkin! (What type of pumpkin is up to you). Scary faces could light up on the person’s pumpkin belly (looks like a jack-o-lantern) and it could sometimes cackle or shout ‘boo!’ to scare people. When it’s time for your character to give birth, the baby would have to be carved out. Fortunately, the spell wears off as soon as the child is born and the woman’s belly returns to normal, no harm done. Now, tell us in a short story: What did they do to get the curse and who did it to them, or how did it happen? How do your characters react? Can they find a way to break the curse or do they have to see this through to the grisly end? (Please, don’t be too gory with that bit). And; do they end up having a rather strange baby? Or maybe the child ends up liking pumpkins a lot?

Oct 2013 WINNER!

Silvia... Really... I don't think this is a good idea...

I watched as she shuffled around in her closet. She pulled out two dresses... both velvety and dark. One was a deep shade of purple, the other a dark crimson, like blood.

I mean, comeon. A party I understand. I would love to go to a party. Even Trick or Treating would be fun! But...

She held out the red dress to me. I looked down at it, feeling the soft velvet between my fingers. I looked back up at her, and she was already stripping off her normal outfit till she wore nothing... and put on the deep violet robe. It was form fitting to her voluptuous form, and hung around down past her ankles the rest of the way--- just brushing the ground in a velvet curtain. The front of the robe was closed by four elegant Chinese style buttons.

But... a Coven meeting? I'm not... I took a deep breath. Sure, I like stories of mysticism and magic... but I don't think I could go to, of all things, a coven meeting! I don't feel comfortable doing this. I'm... I'm not a witch.

My friend stood there smiling at me. She was putting on jewelry-- all find jewelry, of rubies and diamonds, star sapphires and peridots. They glittered from her ears, her neck, her fingers, even her long black hair had them woven into dark silky strands. Then then pulled up her hood. She smiled at me with her icy blue eyes and the dark purple lipstick she had put on.

She smiled. You love magic... Yet you don't want to see magic? I'm sure me an my coven will... cast a spell on you.

I'm... I've just heard bad things about witches... that's all... I don't want to show up where I'm not supposed to and have a curse put on me or something.

I'm a friend and a member of the coven. She said reassuringly. You honestly think I'm gonna let them hurt you?

Look... I just think there are some things that should remain private... I slowly started to take off my clothes. For the both of us... I mumbled quietly. I stripped completely before sliding on the soft velvet dress, which hung limply over my smaller, leaner frame then Silvia's did. She reached out and ran her fingers over my collarbone, and the robe tightened. Soon it fit me as snugly and as well as the violet robe fit Silvia. I looked at myself in the mirror, turning this way and that. It did fit me quite well... From the way it hugged my curves to the bell sleeves to the crimson velvet curtain the fell down to my toes.

Um... This one doesn't have a hood...

I looked over and saw her in front of her jewelry box. She brought it over to me and put it on the table next to me. She took out more jewelry then. Star Rubies, Garnets, Diamonds and Topaz of every color were woven into my auburn hair. Alternating gold and silver rings, set with either Star rubies, Imperial Topaz, or Diamonds graced my fingers. A pair of Garnet, Ruby, and Diamond earrings dangled from my ears. Around my neck was a glimmering golden pendent set with Topaz, Ruby, Diamonds and Sapphires to look like a beautiful flame.

She then pulled a red velvet hat out of the closet. It had a wide brim with a black band. She took a hat-pin similar to my necklace and added it to the side of the hat. She stepped over to one of her tables, opened up a drawer, and pulled out what looked like a white peacock feather. She stuck it into the hat and put it on my head.

I looked over my outfit for a long moment. May I make one alteration? I asked.

Sure. Curiosity was in her eyes.

I took off the hat and carefully made a tiny crease in the very front. When I put it back on it looked like a point in the hat descended infront of my eyes.

She clapped her hands. Nice addition. You look like a fitting witch!

I smiled.

I'll be right back as I get the boots for us both, ok?

She swayed out of the room with that walk of hers.

Something bad is going to happen, I know it. I said quietly. I went back to my clothes and pulled out three things. Two daggers in bracer style sheathes, and a blowgun. I quickly put the daggers on my forearms, and slid down the kimono-like sleeves to hide them. How lucky these robes had such loose sleeves?

The blowgun was harder to figure out a spot for. I heard her coming back so I hid is in my clothes again.

She showed me a pair of dark red leather stiletto boots. I looked hard at the heel. It looked like the heels were... blades? Hers were a pair of dark purple wedge heels.

I can't tell you how expensive those were. Unfortunately I never got the opportunity to wear them. But they fit your outfit perfectly!

I smiled back at her weakly. She handed me a pair of dark red stockings that went up higher then the boots. I put them on, before sliding the boots up to my knees. I stood.

Huh... didn't know we had the same shoe size.

You like them?? She asked happily. I magically altered them to fit you!

I do.

Oh, by the way. All the jewelry I gave you are protective wards. I figured it would ease your mind knowing that very few spells would get through your wards.

Really?

Yep. And I'm not even finished outfitting you with jewelry yet.

I looked up at her. She lifted up the skirt of my robe and put two ruby, topaz, and diamond anklets around each ankle of my boots. I could have sworn she glanced up my skirt...

When she finished she took off my hat, and put on a golden circlet set with a star sapphire, and many small diamonds. It fit neatly over my hair.

When she placed it on my head and stepped backward, I noticed that the rings I were wearing were glowing. She was watching with a smile as she stepped back one more time.

Firey-orange lines flew from my rings to my anklets, and from my anklets to my circlet. I floated up into the air, with my leg slightly spread and my arms out, palms down. Was this a fire ward the shape of a pentagram? I closed my eyes and concentrated.

I felt myself rise up a few more inches, and my legs slid together, and my palms turned upward. I opened my eyes to see the fiery lines blend together, and solidify into two thick ones-- while turning a blazing pale gold! It was a cross of Holy Fire!

A moment passed and I was lowered gently onto my feet. The rings, pendent, circlet and anklets now all glittered with a pale golden light.

Silvia was staring, jaw dropped. I've never seen a FireWard turn into... into... a Holy Fire Ward before! She clapped her hands. That was so...

Abnormal? I guessed.

...Badass! She finished instead. She clasped her fingers together with a big grin and a slight blush. If the wards work so well on you, you might just be an Artificer! I'm sure they will love you at the coven! I've never gotten them to work so well just by putting them on! Hell, that ward is missing one piece, and you make it look like you don't need it!

I blushed slightly myself. I watched her as she turned around and finished decking herself out with jewels. When her back was turned I managed to slip my blowgun and blow darts into my boot.

I clapped for her when she was finished putting on her own jewelry. a set of bracelets, a circlet, and anklets later, she was leading me to the bathroom to put on some makeup.

She already had her purple lipstick, but she put on some shimmering purple eyeshadow. She then turned to me and put on some dark red lipstick, the kind that made me think of vampires. When some emerald eyeshadow, to accentuate my emerald green eyes.

Once the makeup was done, she lead me out of her place to her convertible. She put the top down do I don't crumple my hat. I held onto it as she started up the car and started driving towards the edge of town.

They'll love you Gloria. She said happily. You'll fit in just fine.

I leaned back in my seat as the velvet flapped in the wind. You are a good soul Silvia... I just hope your 'friends' are just as good... I thought.

~~~
After a short care ride and a hike in the woods, we reached a campfire. Three others, dressed in dark velvet robes like Silvia and I, stood around the fire. Beyond the fire was an alter, and on it was a pair of books. One was bound in black leather, the other, white. I eyed them carefully. I didn't like the look of this.
The three woman turned to greet us.
One wore a black dress, and her hair was inky black, like Silvia's. Her eyes were so dark as they looked at me-- they looked black. she wore a lot of jewelry with jet or onyx.
One wore a dark green dress. She held a rose and wore was mainly emeralds and peridots.
The last wore a dark blue dress and she had many sapphire, aquamarine, and other blue stones.
And who might this lovely witch be...? The one in black purred. She had black lipstick I noticed-- striding up to me to run a finger through my cleavage.
This is Gloria. I've always seen her as a flame! I figure since Azara went away, she would make a fine fire type for the circle!
The black one smiled at me. and put a hand over her heart. I am Ahrima. She gestured to the witch in green. That is Esmerelda. The witch in green, with her green lipstick, smiled at me. And Enkia. The witch in blue winked at me with a blue-lipped smile.
I don't like these people... I thought. What are they planning?
Well, now that we have all our introductions out of the way, it is time for our ritual! Ahrima said with a smile. As you all know, it is the Full moon before All Hallows Eve. She said in a sultry voice. This is a night of power. Any ritual performed will be especially potent.
And what will this ritual accomplish? I asked, curious.
She smiled. She went back to the alter, and held up the white book. We found this book, a book of evil, disguised as a holy text! We will destroy it, tonight. And the ritual will ensure that this evil text will never return!
I eyed it. I felt a slight sickness in my stomach. She's lying. I thought. That is a holy text-- probably a white witch text!
For a while then, the group talked and mingled. I had my hands hidden in my sleeves, on the pommels of my daggers. Eventually, Ahrima asked Silvia over to the alter.
Will you lie down dear?
And Silvia, innocent as she was... did so. I gave an inaudible groan.
Then the black witch snapped her fingers... and black chains lashed out from under the edges of the alter, chaining my friend down to the alter.
A-Ahrima? What? I noticed the sudden change of my friend's tune. Then Ahrima stuffed a cloth in her mouth.
Gloria... Would you do the honor...? To destroy such a foul text... we must.... take an innocent life in the process...
She held up a dagger as I slowly walked towards the alter. It was a plain gold dagger with a straight double sided blade. As I stood before the alter, I pushed the dagger away.
I will use my own.
I pulled the dagger out of my own sleeve. It had a curved redwood handle that fit my grip perfectly, with a golden guard and golden pommel. The blade was curved as well, and the outside edge was jagged.
As she strode away the other three started chanting. I looked down at Silvia. She was struggling with her chains, looking up at me with tears in her eyes. I lifted the dagger over my head.
As I slipped a throwing knife out from my other sleeve.
Then I heard Ahrima call out. Now, Gloria!
I whipped around and sent the throwing knife into Esmerelda's forehead. She stood there, swayed as blood dripped down her face... the Emerald Witch died before she hit the ground.
Both Enkia and Ahrima screamed in rage. As I advanced on Enika she cast a spell that sent a blast of black-water at me-- the antithesis of holy water-- liquid demon. I held up my arm, as if to block-- and that holy fire cross formed infront of me. The water hit the cross and steamed, and died before the holy flames. I waited for the steam to clear, and there she was still, shaking to much to run. I stepped forward and lashed out with my free hand, jabbing her in the center of her throat, collapsing her windpipe.
The Sapphire Witch died before she hit he ground.
I then turned to Ahrima. She turned around. I fell into a crouch, grabbing my blowgun from my boot and the darts. I put the gun to my lips and blew. And got her in her thigh. I watched her stumble and fall, before trying to scramble and get back up.
I stood and followed. A slow, inevitable walk...
As I approached she flipped over onto her back as she still continued to try and scramble away from me.
I reached her and stood over her, holding up my wickedly curved dagger, which had not left my hand. It flashed and glittered wickedly in the firelight.
F-F-Firecat... she whispered. The Predator of Evil! The Destroyer of Evil Souls!
I bent over her, and she saw that my teeth were... unnaturally sharp.
YOU WON'T GET RID OF US SO EASILY!! She screamed as she lunged forward. Her hand slapped against my belly-- and I felt heat slip through my protective ward and flow towards... my womb? I jumped backwards in surprise before jumping forward and putting one of my bladed heels through her throat.
She just stare up at me with the tip of my boot on her chin-- her eyes wide and her pupil so small you couldn't even see them. She gave a gurgle as I slid the blade out of my boot and watched her bleed.
The Onyx Witch was dead.
To oblivion with you.
I knelt and cleaned my boot heel on her dress. Then I carefully picked her up and took her back to the campfire. I collected all her jewelry, then dumped her into the fire, then doing the same for her two evil sisters. The jewelry would have to be cleansed in the moonlight, but still salvageable.
I looked to the fire with the three dead bodies. I wonder... I held out my hand and focused... the fire started to grow, turning white hot then a pale gold. The flames rise, rising a good 10... 15... 20 feet into the air. I looked over to the black book, and I threw it into the fire as well. The flames roared even higher.
Silvia was staring at me, and shaking. I looked back at her as I slid my freshly cleaned throwing dagger and the still clean dagger into my sleeves. I approached her and pulled the gag out of her mouth.
You... You're the Firecat???
I smiled at her, running my tounge over my teeth.
She shuddered. I started to undo her chains.
I had no idea you were so...
Violent?
Badass!
When she free she sat up, I nodded to her. I'm... going to need that last piece of the ward.
Oh?
Ahrima cast one last spell before I killed her. I think it went to my... womb?
Let me see.
I opened the front of my robe, undoing the Chinese style buttons.
Oh!
I looked down. The skin of my tummy, which had a slight ponch in the first place, had turned a bright orange... and has slight ribbing to it. She touched it.
She cast Pumpkin Belly on you...
And what, pray tell, is that?
When a witch dies, they usually try to make this their last spell. It makes the witch, or witches-- Silvia gestured to the three bodies in the fire-- reincarnate into the womb of the last woman they see. She cast it after you killed two others besides her... you're probably pregnant with triplets-- their souls.
I closed my eyes, before opening them. No. They are gone. These are three new... witch souls.
She glanced up. How can you tell?
I glanced at her with a smirk. I have my ways.
She put her ear to my tummy.
I told you this was a bad idea. And I've told you long before this that you shouldn't hang out with such people.
I watched her glance up at me with her icy blue eyes. I poked her nose. I'm holding you responsible for them.
She smiled, mischief in her eyes. Does that make me their daddy?
I raised an eyebrow. ....?
Suddenly I felt her start to grope my butt. I started to blush.
If I'm going to be a daddy I'm gonna have to get some fun in somewhere! With that she rose and pushed me onto my back on the alter as she started to finish taking off my robe...
~~~

Three months later I woke slowly. I was nestled in bed with Silvia, who had, that night, gone from friend to lover. I woke to her caressing my distended tummy. I opened my eyes and smiled up at her. She had the white book in her hand, and was caressing my tummy.

I yawned. I then gave a groan as the skin on my tummy change, black forms appeared, appearing like ink, forming a jagged mouth, nose and eyes. My belly started to grow as the face started to move, while laughing wickedly.

Silvia scrambled backward on the bed, before slamming the book of White magic shut and putting her hand over the mouth. She cried out a holy word, and the evil face froze, the growing stopped. Then the face faded away.

I panted. Y-You're going to have to discipline the girls well in the arts of White craft... You know I won't allow them to use black magic.

Yes love. She glanced back at the book, while flipping through the pages. Unfortunately I can't seem to find a way to shrink it back down... She laughed. I can find ways get get rid of nearly all of the symptoms but I can't figure out how to make the belly shrink down!

I laughed too. Guess I'll be taking a break from hunting sooner then I thought! At this rate I won't be able to walk! I should take up yoga.

With that belly you won't need a ball!

With both laughed there and then cuddled for a while.

Any leads on that last piece of my Holy Fire Ward?

Silvia shook her head. I can't even cast a tracking spell on it. The pieces you already have are too hot to touch.

I smiled. Well, Take your time. There's no hurry here.

She kissed me then. When she pulled back she licked her lips. I'm gonna go make breakfast.

Ok!

I smiled when I watched her walk out the door. She has such a nice butt. I thought with a smile. I felt a flicker of movement in my tummy, which snapped me out of my appreciation for my lover's... behind. I groaned.

This is going to be a long 9 months...

~~~
6 months later and I was lying on my back. I had been pretty much stuck in this position for the last month or so, since my bright orange stomach had gotten so big I couldn't move. I had to prop myself up in just the right manner so that my organs wouldn't be crushed under the weight of my massive pumpkin belly.
Only some flexibility exercises (And they are HARD to do when you belly is almost touching the ceiling) were keeping me from completely stagnating. I had closed my eyes after as hard of a workout as I could accomplish, when I felt my belly start to squirm and thrash about!
I looked up as the massive thing was thrashing about to see that signature jagged face again, laughing and cackling like the Wicked Witch of the West!
Silvia! I cried. What was she doing? Last I knew she was in the kitchen... SILVIA! HELP ME! SILVIA! I screamed as the nightmare pumpkin that was my pregnant belly rose up over me, I could see it's jagged mouth and black eyes, it cackling as it started to swell even more.
Silvia ran into the room and gasped as she saw my predicament. She ran forward and reached out a hand, placing her palm against the writhing pumpkin flesh. A glowing white cross formed on my skin, and the face faded away, and the gigantic orange orb that was attached to my abdomen took on the shape of a massive pumpkin. I groaned at the thought of me having a huge, green and leafy belly button up there...
I looked over to Silvia. She was craning her neck up at the whole thing. Well... I guess that was this curse's form of indicating labor...
Uh... Silvia.... I said nervously. Why do you have a pumpkin carving knife in your hand? That's a... very... big... jagged... knife...
She set down the knife and climbed onto the bed next to me. It's nothing you have to worry about, my love. She rested my head in her lap and started stroking my hair, as she rested a hand on my forehead. Just rest... it'll all be over soon...
Everything went black as I slipped into slumber.
~~~

I woke to the sound of... crying. Crying... I'm sleeping.... I rolled over and pulled a pillow over my head. Quiet...

I then opened one eye. I can roll over?

I shot up into a sitting position. I looked down at my tummy, and found that it was flat as it was before-- the small ponch that it was before was still there, as if the awful Pumpkin Belly curse had never been cast at all. I also noticed-- a belly ring, sitting comfortably in my bellybutton, a golden hued flame of multiple topazes and diamonds. I smiled at it. I looked up and saw that Silvia was sitting in a massive Pumpkin rine, with three tiny baby girls in her arms. She looked up at me and smiled, before getting up and approaching me. She brought two of the girls, one with black hair and the other with auburn hair, up to my chest. I smiled as they quieted down. I looked at the last little girl, still in Silvia's arms. She had bight coppery colored hair... like the color of a ripe pumpkin.

W-Well, now that they're no longer causing my stomach to grow at random rates... they seem pretty sweet.

Silvia giggled. That Curse was supposed to make any witch soul born to it lean towards the dark arts... but your good and devout nature kept that from taking root in these three new witch souls. These tiny children will grow up to be wonderful White Witches-- I know it!

She cradled the orange haired one and bounced her a little in her arms. Silvia then looked around at all the pumpkin seeds, rine and mush lying around the room.

I'm hungry. I said.

Silvia smiled weakly at me. Well... you want some pumpkin pie?

Well, 4 hours and one Wall o' Text later, and my Halloween entry is finished!

Let me know if it's too violent... sweatdrop I tried to keep it toned down. The one in my head was far more gory.

No worries, thanks for covering for me. I was a day late gettin' to this thread. xD

The other day was rough and I didn't spend any real time on the computer.

Your writing is always incredible, Okami! I enjoyed reading through right to the end. I loved all the descriptions of the witches' outfits and their jewellery and the unexpected surprise of the main character's role. Thank you so much for entering. It wasn't too gory at all...just had that kick of suspense and a dash of horror but not over the top. I liked it. cat_3nodding

@Viper: no worries. ^_^ Sorry you had a rough day. I hope the rest of the week will be better. Are you gonna enter the contest? cat_3nodding I'm going to try to write something over the weekend when I've had some time to think about it.

Probably not, I'm not much of a writer. But if something good hits me, I'll think about entering.

I'm glad. I haven't gotten to write like this or RP in a very long while; I was afraid I was getting rusty. And I'm glad I got the horror to work. I'm not to familiar with writing scary stuff, and since it was Halloween there had to be at least an attempt to make something scary in there somewhere.

I'm glad you enjoyed!

You're not rusty at all! I'd be surprised if you didn't start writing novels (or have some written already). You are certainly good enough, in my humble opinion. cat_blaugh Can't wait to see what else we get for this time around. I find it fun to see the different ideas and writing styles with this contest.

And Viper, what do you mean you aren't a writer?! I've seen some of your role play replies woman and you are creative and have some great ideas! I'm sure Stardust would agree with me. You're also not afraid to write out stuff that's occasionally shocking to read, which is great for this month's prompt. If you do come up with anything, I'd be happy to see it. cat_3nodding emotion_bigheart

I am also looking forward to reading the other entries. I've read quite a few of the other entries in the other contests and I liked them. I've always been fond of writing, so I decided to jump in with the October prompt.

And you think I'd be a novelist? cat_redface Well... Hehe, I can never seem to hold onto a plot for that long... I seem to only be able to do Short stories or RP's, though usually to my dismay the RP's never last long.

I want to write, but usually something interrupts me just when I start picking up steam and I never get get it back long enough to continue... Drives me batty sometimes...
