☆Kå† Ä¥åmå☆ The Striped Demon Kat stared at the woman as she asked if she was concerned on who she assisted. "We are both Criminals, Charlotte. I see your wanted posters all the time. I'm surprised none have been put up for my capture yet, For I did steal from Doko himself recently." she said as she listened to Charlotte explain that she needed wheat. Quickly, Kat dashed into the storage room off the chapel, where loaves of bread lay. She brought back three, one for each of them.
Kat put down the largest loaf in front of Charlotte, and kept the middle sized one for herself, which left the smallest loaf to be dropped in front of Charlotte's male companion. Kat never really took a liking to men, they always seemed to be so full of themselves, like the men of royal blood. To her, men were nothing more than vile creatures who killed and argued over the more beautiful, compassionate women. Kat quickly consumed her loaf, and then brush the crumbs away with her tail. She looked at Charlotte and then at her companion. "Well, My name is Kat." she introduced herself.
She laid down on the floor, stretching as she did. "What are you two doing in Dokoro? Don't you know the Cerberus Pack runs around a night? They could have slice off your head without you knowing if you stayed out there too long." she told them out of nearly experiencing that fate herself. She had outrun the Cerberus Pack multiple times, but she doubted that these two could do it in Charlotte's state. Kat sighed. "You two just need to stay with me, because you stick out like a sore thumb, and I'd prefer not to see anyone slain." she said to the both of them, giving the male a particular glare.

Chris Rushlon The Wanderer As soon as Charlotte had spoken to him about getting under a roof, as well as begin the search, Chris nodded to her as he was about to reach over and pick her up into his arms to do the first task. Without warning, though, something large and fuzzy wrapped them both, immediately pulling them into the Chapel. The first reaction that the wanderer had once this happened was to take hold of his claymore's hilt as he sat there upon one knee, his gaze directly upon the animal humanoid. However, as soon as she began to speak with Charlotte, his stance relaxed and his hand slowly slipped back down to its typical place.
Who was this figure? And why did she had any intention of helping them- well, Charlotte out? His companion seemed to share the same feelings on this matter, as the two females conversed. While this happened, Chris took the time to plant himself down on the floor, his gaze glancing around the chapel since he didn't truly feel that he nor Charlotte were in any danger.
Soon, he found a small loaf of bread dropped in front of him. Glancing up at the animal humanoid, he truly had a feeling that she didn't appreciate his presence here. But, though he could have easily left to do as Charlotte asked, he chose to stay there and deal with that glare from the other female. Main reason? There was no way Chris truly knew who his companion was searching for. Thus, the wanderer simply sat there and ate away quietly at the loaf of bread in his hand...

◣→Freedom→Has→Its→◥ ◣Price→◥ ❦ The female spire was more than impressed, perhaps she was wrong after all, it would appear that she knew about the wanted posters, even her name. With a small smile Charlotte continued; "My, you know me already.....It's nice to meet you, uh, Kat was it?....Well, thank you." Charlotte propped herself up to see a loaf a bread whereas she had imagine the wheat grain as in the fields. But, no matter, she was more than happy to see that she had made another friend. ❦ Plucking a small piece from he loaf of bread, she allowed the texture to soak up in her mouth before chewing and swallowing down the bread. it was fresh, heck, it reminded her of when her mother made that oh so wonderful meat pie with a loaf like this. Smiling, she felt her sickness calm down a bit more. The wheat possessed many traits for the Spire kind whereas it meant only bread for others. "Sorry we stick out so much, I'm just trying to avoid the important people, like the slavers whom I ran from. And, it does bring a curious brow, how is it you don't own a poster of yourself?" She was a bit curious as to why that was. ❦ Taking another small bite out of the loaf, Charlotte turned her attention to her companion, her smile a bit faded as she remembered how he rejected her, Charlotte looked back to Kat, she remembered the joys and comfort it was to be with other women other than man. "Do not worry, this fellow here is Chris, my following companion, but worry not though, he is dull, emotionless if you will....But loyal if nothing else." Charlotte announced as to reassure Kat that he means no harm.

Do'Roelin ۱ ۲ ۳ ۴ ۵ ۶ ۷ ۸۱ ۲ ۳ ۴ ۵ ۶ ۷ ۸۱ ۲ ۳ ۴ ۵ ۶ ۷ ۸ "Ah...my job has become easier..." The dengen master declared aloud, stepping over the corpses of a passing caravan. "You...monster..." The wagon driver managed to announce with the scarce breath he held in his punctured lung. The man was bleeding excessively through the pale blue shirt he wore upon his torso, which had been littered with dirt and cuts along side scorpion stings and claw markings. At the comment however, the Azarian merely turned on his heels to give a single long stride over towards the merchant's place upon the moist soil by his overturned cart. "All I asked was of a single meal, and you dare to turn your arrows upon me...I ask you this." Do'Roelin smiled, kneeling close to the poor fellow as glowing markings encircled his hand. "Who is the real monster here." With the last phrase delivered before the dengen master sent the driver off to his deity, the scarred man then burst into embers, portions of his body flying in a multitude of directions from the sudden energy. Once more the pale light of the compass pointed towards his target, the Erzelemmentes, towards a high wall not half a days walk from where he stood. "Your rest is at it's end my friend."

☆Kå† Ä¥åmå☆ The Striped Demon Kat watched as the male began to eat his small loaf of bread and turned her attention to Charlotte as the woman spoke. "Nice to meet you too, Charlotte." she chuckled back toward the woman. Kat saw as Charlotte ate her bread, and smiled a bit when she saw so. Soon enough, the fugitive spoke about how they stuck out so much and whom they were trying to avoid. Then came why Kat didn't have a poster. "Well..I've never been caught. Ever. Matter of fact, I've never actually stayed around long enough for anyone to make a poster of me."
Kat soon found herself curled up next to Charlotte, thinking about how she could help her out. She didn't care much for her companion that Charlotte introduced as Chris. Kat did huff a bit though. "I know he doesn't mean harm. If he did I'd have killed him already. I may not be the type of demon that kills for fun, but I am the type that will gladly kill in self defense." Kat hissed under her breath.
"Now then, I'd be pleasant if you two told me who's after you, if anyone." she said, putting her head on Charlotte's knee. "I'd like to know if me nursing you would bring unwanted attention that I'd have to deal with. I prefer not to get my hands red, but I will if necessary." Kat said, yawning a bit. It would be useful to her if she had some information on who she'd be dealing with.

◣→Freedom→Has→Its→◥ ◣Price→◥ ❦ Charlotte was interested into the thought of a famous thief in her midst who has never been caught. What a wonderful thing to be befriending such a person be it human or demon, Charlotte was flattered to the fact that she was even in her presence. She even chuckled to the fact that she would kill in self defense, more or less towards the fact it was directed to Chris. ❦ During the conversation, Charlotte took off her hat allowing her hair to puff out in its tight curls. This also gave her the advantage of distant hearing. In which, her pointed ears twitched to a presents of something darker, something....familiar. For a moment she motioned her attention toward one of the open windows, staring very intently in hopes that something might pop out. Though it was obvious nothing would, she didn't know what she was really expecting. But something wasn't right. ❦ "From Slavers, any really....The moment I ran, they made posters....To secure my capture to make sure that." It was then that she remembered in her earlier travel that there was a Degen master who was after Chris.....Is that why she has this unsettling feeling? Could he be here? "Unknown to me.....But I believe someone is after Chris...I don't know who though.." Charlotte trailed off and motion her attention towards Chris with a concerning expression before looking back to Kat.

Chris Rushlon The Wanderer For the time the other two spoke to each other, Chris chose to remain silent, his loaf soon finished in the process. With nothing else to do for the moment, he had taken a stance near one of the window panes, staring out at the outside landscape. Kat had mentioned earlier that they had stumbled upon the city of Dokoro, a place with an infamous reputation. But he wasn't afraid... nothing truly frightened anymore. Hearing the demon's comment about easily killing him if she wanted to, the wanderer didn't even make a notion of agreement or disagreement to it. One could only find truth of such a statement in battle, but neither of them had a reason to fight one another. Perhaps a time would come when they would clash... but not now.
At this point, Chris heard the comment that Charlotte made about the man chasing him. "...Do'Roelin," he finally spoke out, though his gaze never left the window. He couldn't quite remember if he had been told the name before, or if the name itself simply slipped out of his tongue from nowhere, but he was sure that the right name. "He's after me, called me an 'Erzelemmentes'. Seems he carries a fixation of such folk... and he wouldn't care if he took me dead or alive."

☆Kå† Ä¥åmå☆ The Striped Demon Kat sighed and rolled onto her back. When Charlotte took off her hat, showing her curly hair, Kat couldn't help but swat at it as if she was a housecat. Though she was playing, Kat was still listening. "Those slavers really want her huh? Not on my watch.." she thought as she continued to play with Charlotte's bouncy curls. They were so amusing.
Her ears perked up in intrique when Charlotte introduced the fact that someone was chasing her male companion. Kat didn't care much, though. She nearly got annoyed when the male, Chris, began to speak about someone named Do'Roelin. That was certainly a dumb name. She chuckled at the thought. "Dumb is now chasing dumber." Kat rolled onto her stomach and looked at Chris. "Well hey, maybe if he comes after you, AND Charlotte gives me a command to fight him, I will. I don't fight for men if there's no woman consent." she said, using her back legs to scratch behind her ear.
Kat didn't know much about this Do'Roelin guy, but she figured that she'd be able to at least hold him off so Charlotte could get away if he attacked them. She could care less about Chris though, he was just another male running about. "So...We've Charlotte running from Slavers, and we've this male Erzelemmentes running from another male with a stupid name. I guess I can deal with that." Kat said as she puffed out her large tail and laid it around Charlotte to keep her warm. She wanted Charlotte to be as comfortable as possible, it would help her get better much more sooner.

◣→Freedom→Has→Its→◥ ◣Price→◥ ❦ When Chris spoke of the name, she recalled the exact memories, it was when the two were at Grand Port, where they first met, where she first escaped to. It was on the afternoon when they rented a room for the night that the man was waiting out there. She feared for Chris, for at the moment she knew naught of how he truly was. ❦ Though having traveling with him for so long now, she has seen his true colors. He is but a shell who could never feel, or even hope to understand feelings. It also reminded her to astray from men, However, being with the new friendly face, she has remembered her attraction to female. Be it a forbidden fruit of life, Charlotte always enjoyed the female companionship as well as the easy understanding. ❦ "I'm flattered to have a new friend such as yourself, Kat." Charlotte stated as she smiled towards her, taking another bit of the wheat bread before looking back over to Chris. "That name brings the familiar smell of blood....I have a good feeling he has been following us, he might even be as far as to be here..." Charlotte had enough energy to run if need be, but not enough to fight back, and she wasn't about to let any of these two be left behind to ensure her escape. If she runs, she would make sure they would run with her.

Do'Roelin ۱ ۲ ۳ ۴ ۵ ۶ ۷ ۸۱ ۲ ۳ ۴ ۵ ۶ ۷ ۸۱ ۲ ۳ ۴ ۵ ۶ ۷ ۸ Silently, the soles of Do'Roelin's boots patted gently over the rooftop tiles of a nearby structure. A crumbling tower which had been rotting along side many of the poorly kept buildings of this portion of the city. A glowing compass stood by the man's side, glinting brightly as if to reflect the moon itself as it directed the man towards the old church, which from afar appeared slanted upon it's basin. "Finally, a reunion with the Erzelemmentes..." The Azarian muttered to himself, flicking his hands through the air. As if his hands had called down the hammers of the forge god to strike through the wind itself, a gust erupted through the windows of the structure violently, shattering every ounce of glass throughout the place of worship. Not a moment passed before a familiar feeling, a gentle quacking as sand seemed to spout from every pore of the ground appeared. The scuttling of gigantic legs and claws no less enormous shook the very buildings about them as his target would once more meet with a familiar foe. "And this time, I'll not leave you to your shadows so easily." He chuckled, his skin suddenly becoming like iron as he rushed towards the church along side the massive scorpions.

IvonKeir ◣→Freedom→Has→Its→◥ ◣Price→◥ ❦ Charlotte had a sinking feeling as she heard something most unsettling. Something was approaching them, and fast!. As soon as the windows shattered, Charlotte lunged herself toward the other female to hit the ground, she held her close and low. "I knew it!" She cursed under her breath before going feral, low to the ground she moved like a crazed animal as she scouted around. He was closing in.... "We need to leave now!" She shouted again. ❦ She then sat up to where it looked like she was crouching down, her skirt fell in between her legs to act as a cover as she covered her mouth, coughing wildly before looking for a possible exit. Her shoulder blades began to move violently as her wings were restored, but still trapped under her skin. Her skin wanted to break, but if this happened now she would be immobilized from the immense pain. So then she decided to ready her bow, her accuracy was as sharp as a hawks eye. She looked to the others with worried eyes. "He's after Chris, we need to leave now. Kat Help me hold him off while you Chris find a way to escape, we'll follow behind." ❦ Charlotte gave the two a good concerned look. She wasn't fully prepared for this, nor healthy in her state of illness. She would be toppled by this one man and she knew it, yet she wasn't afraid. She covered her mouth with her right hand, coughing once more before looking back to all the possible entry way for this man to enter from, even the rooftop.

Chris Rushlon The Wanderer Listening to the two speak again, Chris was once more silent without the need to speak. It seemed that Kat was one of those types, but he didn't mind nor care. That was, until the place shook before every glass object in the chapel burst into shards...
Wrapping his cloak over him to prevent any shards from striking him out of force of habit, Chris soon took hold of his sword hilt, this time actually unsheathing it from his back. From here, though, he instantly noticed sand once more reforming from inside, the scorpions soon to follow. It was at that moment that he took sight of Charlotte's reaction, her bow out and ready as she spoke to them, letting him to run...
Staring at her for a few moments, he simply sighed as he slowly began walking toward the main door. "No," he simply said as he moved right up to Charlotte. "You are in no condition to partake in this fight, much less act as a line of defense. While I'm responsible to see you to your goals, I am also responsible to fight my own battles..." Looking toward the door for a second, he glanced back to Charlotte. "You and Kat need to leave, now. He has no reason to fight either of you, and he'll know that using you as leverage against me won't work. Charlotte... I won't pretend to care about the new result here, but..." Pausing, he reached forward and placed his hand upon her shoulder, doing his best to be soft about it even though he was ready for battle. "Go and find that person, with or without me. If fate is on my side, then I will catch up to you. Now... go."
At that point, Chris took to the door, his arms pushing against it heavily to thrust them open, allowing him outside. He wasn't going to run this time. Now, it was a fight to the end, with one of the two dropping dead. That said, his last statement had been a strong and direct comment toward Charlotte. There was no reason for her to be involved in this battle right now, and he didn't throw this responsibility onto Kat, either. After all, the demon had clearly stated that she wouldn't listen to him, anyway.

☆Kå† Ä¥åmå☆ The Striped Demon Kat smiled when Charlotte called her a friend. It had been quite a while since somebody called her that, because most people just saw her as a ruthless beast. For one to compliment her in such a way, Kat was flattered. She was about to say something back before things started shaking wildly...
The demon was not at all phased when the glass shattered and the ground began to shake. This was something she was used to, so nothing bother her much. Charlotte said that she should help Chris fight off this male, but her companion rejected the assistance. Kat yawned a bit and padded her way over to Charlotte. She sighed. "This may have to get ugly..." she said, referring to her true form, one in which she hasn't used in over 50 years. In reality, Kat was a beast, just not a ruthless one.
She glanced at Chris for a second. Should she help him out even if he didn't want the help? No..It wouldn't be right to leave Charlotte alone in this situation. Kat scooped up Charlotte on her back and then ran over to Chris. She stared at him for quite sometime, then smirked. Kat held Charlotte with her tail and dashed off into the back alleys of Dokoro. Once she found a spot in which she though was safe, Kat put Charlotte down gently. "Listen..You told me to help him so I will. Just don't be phased when I turn into...well my real self." Kat said to Charlotte softly. It was true that the form she was currently in was just one that she had obtained through a deal many years ago. She wanted a form that didn't make her look so evil and this was the result. "I'm going to help him now. You sit here and rest" Kat said, as the black bands on her tail began to spread throughout her whole body. Her ears grew out as well, growing to be twice the size that they were. Kat winced a bit as she felt the hard, blade like bone rip out of her back and behind her two front legs. Soon, after about 30 seconds or so, Kat stood in her Original Form
Kat looked at Charlotte with souless eyes, before dashing off to assist Chris. The demon walked up beside him and nudged him a bit with her tail. She could not speak in this form, so a chuckle and slight roar was all that came out. She was ready to fight this Do'Roelin, no matter what the cost.

◣→Freedom→Has→Its→◥ ◣Price→◥ ❦ Charlotte was baffled to the fact that Chris told her to do otherwise rather than to listen. So she took a few steps forward, lowering her bow; "Idiot! I didn't ask you to run I asked you to find a way to escape so that we all can go together!" She was quickly distracted with Kat and was simply swarmed and dizzied by all this mix up and confusion. ❦ When Kat stated her role in helping him, she didn't ask to assist Chris at all but to assist her. She was at a lost of words from all of this, so suddenly! Charlotte just simply watched as the two went off to fight against the Degen master. Flashes of the man she looked for kept coming in and out of her sight, from flashes of memories, to the cruel reality she is facing now. It was also when she realized her favorite hat was missing, she looked over to the chapel and remembering that she had left her hat inside. Looking left to right, she quickly found a back way to enter the building coming apart, and saw her hat by the loaf of bread. ❦ With a small smile, she hurried over to grab her hat, after placing it firmly on her head once more, she looked over to the window where the two were. It appeared that the ground was turning to sand? Charlotte backed away from the window, hearing the sounds of sand sinking below her feet. She jumped at the sight, and quickly backed away. She then decided to look at her friends once more before heading out of harms way

Do'Roelin ۱ ۲ ۳ ۴ ۵ ۶ ۷ ۸۱ ۲ ۳ ۴ ۵ ۶ ۷ ۸۱ ۲ ۳ ۴ ۵ ۶ ۷ ۸ As the massive scorpions arose about him, standing as tall as he and quite a bit wider as many found it difficult to fit through the thinner portions of the street, Do'Roelin found a pleasant surprise bursting through the doors of the chapel building as he himself stepped forwards through the small dunes that lifted themselves from the earth. The clattering armor of the scorpion's exoskeletons, and the snapping sound of their viscous claws was enough to make a grown man flee, and yet to the Dengen Master's interests it appeared that once more his target was entirely void of such fear. "How delightful, you've saved me the trouble of knocking." The Azarian chuckled, his skin glinting in the sunlight, his own metallic exoskeleton shielding him from unwanted blows. "Is it the power you've been given that makes you so fearless, were you born into a noble and valorous family, or is it the Erzelemmentes itself that deprives you of terror?" He practically cackled the words, for to his delight the strength he'd received to overthrow his target had given him more than enough confidence in his success this day. Before the man could charge forth to claim his prize however, another joined by his side. A beast which he had little familiarity with even in his lengthy studies, though it's peculiar anatomy did perk his interests. "So you've brought a pet? All is just as well, for I doubt you'd be able to muster up the strength you require now regardless." With his final words, the massive beasts charged forwards, their claws snapping towards his foes with the intention to cleave their torso from their waste.
