Devvin looked around and smirked. "It seems that Nakia has shown herself." He didn't notice Nakia inside although she had already made it out of sight before he could.

Annabelle sat up from the couch with a smile on her face. She was well rested.

Annabelle jumped when he raised his voice. "S-Sir... I-I just finished cleaning the house not to long ago! S-so I layed down to take a cat nap a-and um...." she trailed off at the end. She was afraid. 'Will Nakia get her cleaning job back and I'll take her spot as play thing?' she wondered in fear.

"What did I say about the stuttering? Do you want to spend your time in the cage?" Devvin asked angry.
"It's my fault master." Nakia said standing on one knee. "I suggested that she rest."

Annabelle shrunk back as Devvin became angry. She thought he was going to hit her so she shut her eyes. She opened them again when she heard Nakia speak. She looked between Devvin and Nakia. Throwing sad glances filled with gratitude at Nakia.

"Is that so Nakia?" Devvin asked grabbing her by the wrist. "I guess I can let this one slide but let it happen again and both of you will be in the cage." He pulled her close and kissed her neck before whispering in her ear. "I'll deal with you later my dear." He chuckled releasing her and walking up to his room.
"Did he hurt you?" Nakia asked.

Annabelle let a tear escape her eye as she looked up at Nakia. She ran to her and wrapped her arms around her. "No. But he is going to hurt you!" she sobbed.

"What if he kills you Nakia?" she asked through her sobs. "I've only met one other person in my life that I cared for as much as I care about you. The guards shot him dead when they stormed my house and took me to the slave trade. He can't take you away from me!" She sobbed harder. All the bad memories came flooding back to her.
