It was an exciting day for VIP's when they first heard that American rapper extraordinaire Ludacris praised YG Entertainment. Not only did he say he loved their style, but also that he would be very interested in working with Teddy. We then reported that he was invited by YG to visit them in Korea, and then that they had signed an agreement. (Read more about the signed deal here.)

Not only is the deal for YG to prove that they can operate as a company on a global scale but this is also a business venture for Ludacris to start the sale of his "Soul by Ludacris" headphones in Korea, with the assistance of YG. Well, it looks like the fruits of that deal are blossoming and I have to say, if you want to go to Korea to endorse your headphones, having Big Bang pose with them is a very good start.

Not only is YG selling the headphones on their online store, but there will also be a launching show on Sept. 29 at Banyan Tree Club & Spa in Seoul.

Big Bang’s T.O.P will once again take the spotlight as he recently guest starred on SBS’s K-STAR News. The singer along with other guests will talk about the importance of retaining a fine celebrity profile as well as revealing secrets to how to go about doing that. The show, which is hosted by Son Ho Young and Yoo Yun Ji, will display a completely different side of the singer. A much more goofy and fun part of him. While he is typically known for his attractiveness as well as giving off a charming aura, he will show off his normal, a more behind the scenes image of his self.

In the past, his fellow Big Bang members have always acknowledged how T.O.P is pretty amusing once he goes off behind the scenes. The rapper/singer has well accomplished himself in front of veteran actors for his acting skills and has proven his charisma in front of the celebrities he’s worked with in the past. Now, news sources label him as the "multi-talented" idol thanks to his variety of skills he's dispalyed in the past.

Meanwhile, stay tuned for the episode of his appearance as well as other guests on K-STAR News which airs on September 26 at 10 PM KST.

After announcing the duet track for "Breakups Are So Like Me" featuring Super Junior's Kim Heechul, Kim Jang Hoon has finally released the official single and video for his title track on midnight of September 27.

The video features Kim Heechul teaching Kim Jang Hoon how to do Mr. Simple's main dance step, both having a short photoshoot in the studio, having fun while dancing and also posing for a cute picture making a heart sign. It also displays the moment in which Heechul cuts his own hair due to his mandatory military enlistment.

The track song will be Kim Jang Hoon's first new single since the release of "Rain Shower" in 2008.

Check out the music video below and stay tuned to Soompi for more updates!

Boy bands? I know them well. In the 90's we had NSYNC, the Backstreet Boys, Take That, and many others, but it seems like boy bands had their time and slowly disappeared. K-Pop, however, has kept the concept alive and modernized it, it's not so cheesy anymore (well.....not all the time), but whenever someone tries to revive it in America, it doesn't seem to go so well.

It looks like someone is desperately trying to change that as there is a new boy band in America that might be something "new," the quotations mean it's new outside of Korea. What I mean is this new group, Heart2Heart (yes, that's the name), could have been based around the K-Pop group format. Let's break it down for you.

If you look at the teaser (below) it looks like something you'd expect to see in K-Pop - the visual, the sound, basically the whole concept is similar, even the fact they released "teasers" this way just reminds me of K-Pop.

Next, we have the fact that the members all have nicknames, and if that's not enough, there is a sub vocalist, a lead vocalist, a rapper, and wait for it, a LEADER.

Now we have the album itself - no, not a full album, but the very popular K-Pop idea of a mini-album. If all that isn't enough to convince you there is some K-Pop influence here, the mini-album will be mastered by Tom Coyne. Does the name ring a bell? It's no big deal, just someone who works on Big Bang and 2NE1.

Well, I should probably leave it up to you to decide if there is enough here to be called an influence and not a coincidence, but regardless of how good or bad they are, the fact K-pop could be influence groups in America is nothing but good news for the K-Pop industry.

Former Super Junior Member Hangeng and his attorney has filed a request to dismiss SM Entertainment's appeal against the previous verdict.

Hangeng and his attorney first filed for contract termination with SM Entertainment back in 2010 due to his overwhelming schedule which he was forced to comply to due to his alleged "slave contracts." Back in January 2011, SM Entertainment filed an appeal towards the December 2010 verdict, which was in favor of Hangeng. The verdict stated that Hangeng's three contracts have no legal effect, freeing him of the contracts

The Seoul Court reported that on September 21st, the court received a request from Hangeng's attorney, Jipyoung and Jisung, to withdraw SM Entertainment's appeal. However, the court has not reported any other information on whether or not they accepted Hangeng's request to end SM Entertainment's appeal.

Super Junior’s leader Lee Teuk revealed the hardships of being an idol star.

Aired on September 30, Super Junior made a guest appearance on the music show KBS “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook” and spoke out about past hardships.

On this day, MC Yoo Hee Yeol asked in specifics, “The idol market is a cold and difficult market. What is the most difficult aspect of it?” From this question, Lee Teuk replied, “Honestly, there’s so many teams pouring out as idols into the market and they’re also great in what they do, as they work hard.”

He continued, “And when we’re struck with the epiphany that these people have a lot of potential in what they do, it hits home that that very moment can be the moment where we ourselves may slip and fall.” With his honest answer, the crown burst into applause in comfort and understanding.

Artists DJ DOC, Sung Shi Kyung, 45RPM, and Lee Moon Sae also featured as guests for this week’s segment.

One of Korea’s favorite idol groups Big Bang has managed to give away a spectacular performance as the major K-pop representative at the “Singapore F1 Grand Prix Concert”. This concert was held on September 23 at the Marina Bay Racing Circuit. Showing their cool dance moves, while wearing fantastic bright outfits, Big Bang stole the hearts of many fans and managed to get the whole audience further pumped up by performing their hot tracks “VVIP” and “How Gee” (see the video below for their “How Gee” performance). On September 30, even the F1 organizing committee stated that the idol group was superb in its performance.

One of the officials of the organization of the event stated, “I was kind of surprised by the entrance of Korean entertainers. Being a part of a worldwide event has been a great opportunity for them to show the Korean pop culture on a greater scale.” Members of Big Bang are very honored, indeed, and also proud to have been given the chance to show the value of the Korean pop culture at one of the most prestige motor sports events.

However, the K-pop fever does not end here. The Grand Prix event will move its location to Korea and the party will go on from there. The opening of “Korea Grand Prix” will be on October 14 and will continue until October 16 at Jeonnam Yeongam. Korean top artists like SNSD, Super Junior, T-ara, Rainbow, Davichi and F.T. Island are all scheduled to perform at its concert event. This concert will be held on October 15, 3PM (Korean time). Not only Korean top idols, but also Korean rock stars like YB, Resurrection, Jaurim and Prana will give away performances at the “Korea Grand Prix Rock Festival”, which will be held on October 14 at the opening of the event.

Big Bang's Taeyang’s older brother is gaining a lot of attention as he is getting ready to debut.

Taeyang’s older brother, Dong Hyun Bae will be starring in tvN’s new program, "Hotties Casting Oh! Boy!" which will be aired on October 3. This program will lead to his official debut in the entertainment industry.

The agency has stated, “Currently we are reviewing dramas and movies where he could make an appearance. He has all the basics down as an actor and is passionate for acting. We believe that he will be worth anticipating as he grows as an actor.”

tvN's new project is based on a senior high school band. It is a new type of drama called a "casting drama" where the characters fight in order to be cast. In a sense, it is a drama within a drama. Oh! Boy! will be cast by eight idols, models, and actors.

Netizens who have heard about Dong Hyun Bae’s debut have stated,” I can’t wait!” “Great brothers,” and “Taeyang and Dong Hyun Bae looks alike.”

Dong Hyun Bae has acted in different projects before such as the musical "Grease."

Singer Yoon Do Hyun, who recently participated in MBC's "I Am a Singer", revealed that he used to be "trash".

On a recent episode of tvN's "Talkshow Taxi", Yoon Do Hyun said that if it hadn't been for his wife, who pulled him through life's difficulties, and for his friends, he wouldn't be able to live as happily as he does now. (He used the term "trash" which is extremely deragatory in Korean in order to describe his past self.)

He expressed his gratitude towards his wife, saying that she was the perfect partner. She changed him from a "selfish" person into a better person.

"If you get to know me, I'm really a trash-like guy. But my wife continually prayed for me and thanks to her, I am changed."

There is another special woman in his life though: his daughter. Yoon Do Hyun's daughter has him wrapped around her little finger. At their recent trip to Hawaii together, Yoon Do Hyun learned how to hoola dance and also looked for a rainbow with his daughter. He showed the most tender and sensitive side of him through her. Anyone could tell that his love for his daughter is greater than anything else.

Yoon Do Hyun also talked about a special friend.

"This friend is someone who first introduced me to music and was by my side through some very difficult times. Sadly, he took his own life but he was so important to me that he still comes out in my dreams," he said. It was shocking how he made such a personal confession about this gloomy topic. YB Live's first album's jacket design, along with the hit song "My Head Hurts" were actually dedicated to the friend.

We'll get to meet Yoon Do Hyun's family when the episode airs on October 2.

On Sept. 28, G-Dragon posted a goofy photo of himself holding what looks to be lemonade bottles with the caption, “Hey Seungri, this tastes a lot better.” In the photo posted on his me2day account, G-Dragon is seen clutching onto four bottles of lemonade with a funny facial expression, showing off his playful side.

Today’s photo is in response to Seungri’s me2day post from Sept. 27 when he wrote “Coca Cola is so good. If it’s good you drink it again. What would it be? Make a guess, ding dong daeng dong,” in front of the traditional “Drink Coca Cola” circle sign. After seeing the photo many fans have wondered if there were any CF arrangements going on between the beverage manufacturer and Big Bang.

Netizens who saw the photo commented, “That’s such a funny expression,” “I can tell he hates to lose those bottles,” “He’s so cute with that face.” Could Big Bang possibly be working on a drink commercial?

Big Bang had recently delivered the exciting news that they have been nominated for "MTV EMA 2011- World Wide Act Asia Pacific” on their official Facebook account.

Another repercussion from G-Dragon’s marijuana incident, the Japanese release of GD&TOP’s albums that would contain “High High” and “Oh Yeah” was cancelled. The album would have been released on November 9.

Avex (Company that is handling the release/distribution of the album) stated on October 6, “We have halted the release of G-Dragon’s duo ‘GD&TOP’s’ single ‘OH Yeah.’ G-Dragon smoked marijuana in May which was before we had a contract. Because of the social repercussions in Japan, we have decided to stop the release.”

A Korean news source NEWSIS stated that the future of G-Dragon’s activities in Japan looks bleak. Japan is very harsh on celebrities that use drugs. They also state that because G-Dragon smoked marijuana in Japan, they would take it even worse than Korea. (Currently, it appears that in South Korea G-Dragon won’t be restricted from appearing on television.)

It also seems that in Big Bang’s Japanese release of the album “The Best of BIGBANG” in Japan, might be cancelled as well.
