(( Very sorry for the late reply, JUST got home. x.x ))
"Heh. Meatshield, huh?" Fedora (Delta Four) stuck out her hand for the other to shake. "Delta Four. Fedora, if you don't want to go by those silly names." She shrugged, then glanced up at the teams around them, instantly spotting Thyme and Tattoo getting serious. She thought she saw Thyme's eyes catch hers, but then they seemed to get serious with other matters, and Tattoo just seemed so adamant when Thyme took blows for her.
Idly, she wondered if they were... something else... in a past life.
"Follow my lead, huh?" She tilted her head. "Maybe we'd better watch the battle, for a moment..." She glanced around and saw what teams were fighting who, and winced when the thought crossed her mind that she'd have to fight against Thyme and Tattoo. Well, s**t. She just hoped it wouldn't come to that.
She also wondered why they didn't just attack the figure. Wouldn't they do a bit of damage if they attacked him altogether? She worried slightly about attacking him herself, and wondered how powerful they actually were, but... without reinforcements... they just weren't going to be able to do it. Maybe.
Counting the teams in her head, Fedora calculated. And she grew angry.
It wasn't right for them to gang up on the team she had JUST been with. She said she'd look out for them. And this meant every other time, as well. She glanced to her current partner. Temporary for now, yes, but maybe a friend later.
"Hey. HEY!" She yelled, jumping into the fray. "It is NOT right to team up like that! Make it fair!" Her dagger whipped out, and she struck towards Zeta Seven.
Delta Four ATTACKS Zeta Seven!!
(( Weapon: Short Dagger Fedora(Delta Four)'s HP: 25 HP Damage to Zeta Seven: 5/2 = 2.5, rounded up is 3 points of damage. ))

Zeta Seven is still attacking Theta Two. A glancing blow, straight off Theta two's shoulder. It didn't dawn on Zeta Seven before, but he was attacking a girl. A girl. With lady parts. He was taken aback by such a realization. Did he not have any honor? No shame? Even for the sake of living, it felt wrong. it was almost abuse. Abuse my foot, she was slowly whittling them down! How could he have the ability to want to be honorable in this dilemma? She was a threat, and had to go. "Hey hey, I thought we were having a nice little dance, leaving me for another dance partner is rude." He joked about as he got back into her line of sight. before taking on a more serious tone of voice "Your right that's a promise, you end her life and I wont rest till your buried next to her, d'accord?" he finished with a hiss, as he brought back up his fists to guard his face. "Now then, lets continue the dance, Eh?" He fists went flying, widespread jabs and crosses, majority went missing its target but there was a stray one the would hit against solid flesh. and the barrage would continue. Even in shadowboxing, one could get lucky and hit it on the wall. [ Theta two attacking Zeta Seven. ]
She had to give it to Thyme, he knew how to make her laugh.
Despite the situation, a soft lilt of a chuckle rose to her lips. "Are you even being serious?" She asked over her shoulder, her tone feeling too light for the battle that was ripping at her nerves. But she needed to talk to him. She needed to know he was still there and kicking. "Just dont let anyone aim for your mouth - life would be a whole hell of a lot duller without you chattin' it up, boyo." She couldn't think clearly. She sure as hell didn't know why she was chatting so normally with Thyme when everyone that was aiming for her was indefinitely going to wind up hitting him instead. Her heart throbbed in her chest, erratic and crawling up her throat with the way it drowned out the sounds in her ears. But she didn't want to run. She didn't think to flee. She was right where she had to be, and her throat constricted tightly, fingers curling tighter and tighter still around the stake that she fought with.
"Fine?" She reiterated, turning to look at Thyme. "You just took two blows - what are you, invincible now?" Her tone took a slightly caustic, hardened bite to it, the thrill that rode her spine collecting and exploding with shards of guilt. Something painful stirred in her gut. She was losing all of her morals. She was shaking them off and she wasn't even sure she regretted it. She was saying goodbye to the painful struggle of detaching gas masks from personalities, even if it took blow upon blow to make it happen. But still, the ghost of guilt chided her, told her that she was becoming what she'd hated just a few hours ago. And then it disappeared, only to be replaced with the howling laughter of a voice in her head that mocked, but maybe thats what you already were. You're just figuring it all out now.
Watching her blow hit and the stranger wince, Theta-two almost winced herself. Not because of him. No, not at all. But because it didn't affect her as much as it should have. Her brain was slowly tearing the gas masks from the personalities beneath. She was beginning to become callous to the hits and blows. She was becoming immune. Her chest curled in on itself tightly, every ounce of once-were-morals running from her grip. But this was for him. This was for them. This was for her. Good luck, chica, she thought to herself, you're losing yourself and you're not even past day two. "Sorry, cheri, didn't mean to bruise your pride." She said with caustic bite, raising her hands and making the motions as though to soothe a particularly stubborn dog into sitting. Oh, great. She was mocking too. Who are you? The questions in her head stirred again. Who dont you want to be?
Reeling as Alpha Eight lunged for Thyme, the girl called a warning, some twist and tumble of words off her lips. But her attention was drawn again to the Zeta she'd nearly forgotten in the back of her mind. And damn, did he have personality too. "Oh, a dance, boyo?" She chuckled, straightening up again and glancing at her "opponent." "I didn't know we were calling it that; didn't you know it was polite to bow first?" Her voice lilted with a light tease, as though to crush the inner turmoil that ran rampant in her bones. "It sounds fine to me," She murmured, not sure why she was saying that. Did she care if she died, so long as Thyme and Fedora, Bones as well, was safe? Maybe. Maybe not. I wonder how alive you feel before death, a morbid part of her brain thought. I wonder what it feels like. "But first, cheri, you'll have to make sure you can tango well enough to tango with me and put me in my grave."
His fists came in a flurry, but still, Thyme was there to protect her. Out of the corner of her eye, she was able to make out Fedora, and she nearly called out to her. But calling out meant distraction, and Thyme had told her to focus. It didn't dawn on her yet, the idea that they'd have to battle sooner or later. It didn't dawn on her yet that to protect Thyme, she'd have to go against Fedora. And so she arrogantly brandished her stake, and lunged again, this time, her heart hardening as she aimed for Zeta Seven. She couldn't bring herself to attack his shield directly yet, even with the way her heart and mind tightening with a new resolve. She wasn't ready yet, to hit her and incur the inevitable wrath of Zeta Seven, a stranger who could have been a friend.

{ Theta Nine is still playing defense for Theta Two. }
Theta Nine was already starting to reconcile himself to the idea that he might not survive the two-pronged attack. Well, reconciled in the sense that he acknowledged the likelihood of this. A guy could still hope. Keeping a sharp eye on his sword, he stayed on the move, not about to present a stationary target to the attackers even if it meant that his energy might flag sooner.
It occurred to Thyme that it was rather inefficient to knock out so many people when one could presumably just take the pendant from the hooded figure. An oblique, speculative glance at said hooded figure distracted him from Alpha Eight's direct attack until the attacker was too close to dodge entirely. Still, adrenaline and reflex managed to draw him forward, just enough so that Alpha Eight's punch glanced off his shoulder. Light as this one was, compared to the first, it was still hard enough to add another bruise to the collection, he thought hazily.
Don't let anyone attack his mouth? He had to laugh. "Gas mask's useful like that," he replied easily. "Not wearing it for a fashion statement, that's for sure. And I'm the invincible Iron Man, didn't you know." Another snippet of his past, whirling out of who knows where, signifying who knows what. Zeta Seven's attack on Theta Two planted another bruise. Teeth gritting a moment, he steeled himself for the next round of attacks.
Fedora's yell brought a grin to his lips, despite the difficulty of the situation. Sparing her and her partner a grateful nod, he offered a quiet, "Careful." She was still part of the team, whatever their present circumstances. (He shied away from the thought that they might have to fight each other. He would find some loophole, some way out of it. He /would/.) If both teams survived against their opponents, maybe they could work together to get some answers out of the mystery apparition. Now /that/ was a goal he was willing to work for.
Come think of it, he liked the odds of four teams against a lone apparition even better.
"Don't you find this rather inefficient?" he wondered of the attacking teams. While he was not very hopeful that they would respond, he had to try.

"Gamma 12. As stiff of a name as it is, it is my name. I am taking to it." She preferred that over sounding like a pet. None the less, she settled 'Fedora' into her head. However, it seemed she was too slow to realize who it was who she was 'following' was attacking, suddenly freezing, before grabbing Fedora's arm and yanking her back.
Her face was intense beneath her mask.
"You see that person there? That Shield for who you're attaking? That is my ally in this entire mess." she said, sounding very unhappy. While she was a shield in the game, she was going to keep who she had agreed to survive with until the end away from harm.
She was now in a moral ground. What did she do now? Break the rules of the game?

Crossing his arms, he looked at the battle before him. The team getting attacked was probably arguing going after Snuggieman mostly because they didn’t want to die first. However, he would much rather go after one target with everyone on his side than make a bunch of enemies out of former allies and then kill them off. However… Did they stand a chance? Plus, once this pair was gone, the rest had stronger alliances due to the Gammas, and he and his new partner would probably be the next to go.
“Eighty, what you think? Snuggieman or the Thetas? I was thinkin’ and I is almost completely sure we is next. Should we all fight together, or is you thinkin’ we should keep it like this? Snuggers might give us all insta-death or something if we go for him, but right now it is just comin’ slow like.” He turned to the other groups. “Gammas. We have a truce, so if we fight, we’s breakin’ it. What you think? I is just one guy, so ya’ll decide what we gonna do, and I’ll go along with ya’ll.”

Keeping his arms raised and body poised for another attack, he carefully maneuvered himself closer to his shield, η XI. He not only felt safer being closer to him, but also he needed the protection if they were going to talk this out. This didn't mean Alpha Eight liked this at all. One moment everyone was all for fighting in their assigned groups in order to gain the pendant. The precious pendant that meant survival when it came time for their final day. The pendant that Alpha Eight desperately wanted, his true end game for this messed up arena. However, he couldn't very well keep on blindly attacking while everyone else banded together to fight their puppeteer. No, he would have to consider the power of their sheer number as one group. Consideration was key, even though he wanted to make it very clear he had serious doubts.
"If you want to take him on as a whole group, everyone included, I'm in. But I'm going to warn you now that I've seen what these guys can do. We fought a crazy, giant horse and one of these guys or him, took it out without blinking. In fact, he barely lifted a finger. I'm all for survival, but I won't follow you guys to our deaths. Hope one of you has a good idea on how to take him down!"
Alpha Eight sounded more resolute and courageous than ever before. He may have weaseled his way around before, but now he knew that he wasn't going to throw his life away. No, he may have been deprived of a true weapon, but that didn't mean he was about to surrender to everyone else's whims. Death wasn't an option and Eight was going to do everything he could to stave it off.

The hooded figure seemed to have made the definite decision whether or not she was going to play for her. Something was causing her feet to move of their own accord, away from the group. Nine was secretly relieved, she really hadnt been sure of her crazy 'im gunna die anyway' theory.
And then she heard snippets of the game being explained. s**t, it was another kill-or-be-killed situation. The Zeta felt her knees shaking slightly. She had been about to get involved in that. Killing for a silly little item. She was ashamed of herself. Deep down Nine had known that it would be something like this. What the hell was becoming of the unfortunates on this island.
Zeta Nine gritted her teeth, turned on her heel, and left. She didnt know where she was going to go, but she didnt want to watch this.

((Since I'm not in the game, I'm going to leave. Hope no one minds.))
Zeta Ten watched everything, knowing she didn't want to get involved. As the fights raged on, she noticed Zeta Six leave, and knew she would rather be where he was than where people were about to die.
Turning, she quickly followed him away from the battle, not wanting to look back though her heart ached at the thought of losing her new team.

"You fought one of these?" he asked, now knowing that there were definitely going to be quite a few. If they were as strong as Alpha Eight said, then maybe it would be hopeless to fight even two of these. But at the same time, only two of the people here were going to survive the current battle.
Imani addressed the reaper. "Hey! Snuggles! What happens if we attacks you? We all gonna die or somethin', or maybe some are gonna be left alive?"
