Within every illusion, there is reality"  As Akeru saw Kiko come up to the kazekage, she got on her guard, though she did so in a way that nobody would see. She simply prepared to activate her tenraigan, her kekei genkai allowing her to easily effect the girl with a genjutsu if she did anything hostile. The only indication would be the swirling pattern of her eyes. Akeru didn't actually think that the girl would try anything, but as a bodyguard it was her duty to be prepared for it. However, her eyes changed back to normal when she heard what the girl had to say. At first, saying she wanted a pass to visit Suna gained her a bit of respect from Akeru. She figured the girl wanted to toughen herself up in one of the toughest places around. However, when she heard it was to visit Ichi, all that respect disappeared. Akeru was happy Ichi was back in the village, but the way this girl's face was flushed said something about the relationship she had or wanted to have with Ichi. Akeru looked at the girl with her eyes narrowed and her arms crossed. "...Hmph"It was easy to see Akeru wasn't enthused by the fact she wanted to visit Ichi. One could wrongly assume that it was jealosy, but that wasn't it in the least. Even though she considered Ichi a friend, it was still shameful for a kunoichi to travel so far to be some boy's toy. It was disrespectful to herself and kunoichi everywhere in Akeru's eyes. "You want to travel all the way to Suna to chase after a boy? Good to see kunoichi from cloud have their priorities in order..."Akeru spoke sarcastically and under her breath. It was clear that she had a dislike for this girl.

 Kiko paled. One visit to Ichi would cost an alliance...There was a hardening in her eyes, and she nodded. "I...will see what I can do, Kazekage-sama." Kiko turned away, and strode back to Nemutai. "Nemutai-sensei-kage..." she whispered softly, bending her head down to whisper in his ear. "I have something to discuss with you."Tsukiko Theme

As Kiko returned to Nemutai the Kage looked back up at the girl; tilting his head slightly to the side as he did so. "Very well" He said before standing up and going to the furthest edge of the room; it seemed that Kiko had something private to talk about so he didn't want to bother the other Kage's with Cloud Village matters; that didn't involve the other Villages (Little does he know...) As He reached the far end of the room the Kage leaned against the stone wall; a slight 'clink' resulting as his armor hitting the wall. "What is it?" He asked rather simply; after all Nemutai had never been one for length conversations.

Within every illusion, there is reality" Akeru rolled her eyes as the cloud girl went back to her kage. The idiot of a girl didn't even realize she was being taken advantage of. Akeru could only shake her head; she just hoped the rest of cloud wasn't so stupid or else they would make poor allies. She then turned her thoughts back to what Masato had asked her. "As for what you asked, Kazekage-sama, I did notice it seemed something strange was going on with the leaf ninja. I suppose if we offered assistance for whatever it is, it could help us build strong ties with them...though I don't understand what we'd waste our time with those konoha weaklings for... Though to send away his bodyguard like that, I'd guess that either it isn't important enough to warrant both of them going, or they didn't want to show weakness by both going. Its probably the first one, cause in my opinion konoha and weakness have the same meaning..."When Masato asked about her rank, she had to lower her head a bit in shame. "Err...well, I'm still a chunin...to tell the truth, I kind of haven't been keeping up with my training as much as I should have...I kind of had that whole emo phase and all...but once I get back to the village I'm definitely going to train twice- no, three times as hard to make up for it."

Kiko followed after him, and took a deep breath-her hands were shaking slightly. "I....I asked the Kazekage for permission to go visit Sunagakure....and he...asked for a boon in return. But...I'm afraid that the boon isn't my place to give....or secure...." Her face reddened, and she stiffened. "In order to visit Sunagakure...I must secure a full alliance between our village and Suna." Her face was pale, and Kiko's nerves were shot completely from this.Tsukiko Theme

Nemutai looked at Kiko with a blank face; as though he was trying to process what it was that the girl had said. "He wants a full alliance...?" He asked looking at the girl who was still handing in front of him... The Uzumaki alliance pretty much was more along the lines of a failsafe. No one attacks one another and if they do the others tie together and beat down the attacker; so it was really more of everyone being neutral with one another other then fully in an alliance... "Tell him he has it" He said simply to the girl; he wasn't going to explain it but at the moment the Sand Village would be one of the best ally for assisting in the rebuilding of the village; due to the fast's amount of Sand for glass making; as well as stone under the grass for buildings; although The stone village would have been better for stone partially but then again removing the stone from the mountain side without any chance of a landslide would be far more trouble then the slight decrease in distance.
So really until the Cloud village was fully repaired any 'true' alliance with the Sand would be nothing but beneficial for the Cloud village; and ones it was repaired and back up to strength; thats when the benefit for the sand village would kick in; In truth Nemutai had actually been thinking about how to approach the Sand village for an offer much like this one. But with the New Kazekage in control of the village; he had decided to wait until he knew how the New Kage operated. Little did he know the same alliance he wanted would be pretty much thrown at him by the Sand village.

Kiko nearly fainted whenever Nemutai said that the Kazekage would have his full alliance. "Y-yessir..." She straightened up, and walked back to the Kazekage. "Kazekage-sama...your request has been granted." Tsukiko bowed with confidence, and stood, hands in front. She gave him a genuine smile, one complete with fangy teeth showing, and she shook slightly, waiting for a response.Tsukiko Theme

Masato began answering Akeru while Tsukiko was away, making comments on the situation. "If it is something serious and the Sand can somehow help, then it would make our relationship better... And that sounds good, that's the kind of determination I expect of a JONIN in Sunagakure." He spoke for a second, placing some emphasis on the word jonin. After he finished talking he turned back around in order to address the cloud ninja. "Great! Inform him he will have a messenger bird following the exams with a contract, it will have my requests as well as places for him to add his own. And there will be a little something in there for you as well." He finished his statement with a large grin, it was the grin of a man who got what he wanted.

Tsukiko bowed politely, and nodded. "I will. Thank you, Kazekage-sama." She took a good, hard glance at Akeru-studying her and her scent, though it was blocked mostly by the kage's own, and turned to go back to Nemutai. She paled once again, and her knees shook slightly as she spoke to him. "The Kazekage said that after the exams you will be receiving a messenger bird with a contract from Sunagakure." Kiko didn't feel stupid at all for this-even if it was for just a short period of time, she was able to see Ichi; and she had helped build an alliance between two of the strongest villages. It seemed more of a bartering system than an alliance, but she didn't mind. If it helped both villages out, then it was good for everyone in the villages, right? "Nemutai-sensei-kage....is it...wrong...to love a host?" The question came out of the blue, and it probably wasn't the most appropriate, but then again Kiko had never been that great with relationships between herself and anyone else-the kage would know that (since he knew all sorts of disturbing information, predating her genin status).Tsukiko Theme

"Well thats great; when the exams are over I shall quickly return to the village and wait for the contract to arrive" He said nodding slightly in response to what the girl had said however as the second question came to him the Kage's head tilted to the side slightly much like a confused Dog did. Why was she asking him this; he was a lazy drunk; not really the best person to ask a question that had anything other to do with the best places to nap; and what kind of Alcohol go's with the meal your eating. "Well.... I have to admit but that was fairly out of the blue" he said looking down at Kiko. "Well A lot of people would say yes' but..." he said thinking about th best way to word what it was that he was thinking. "Love is the irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired' The Kage's words where awful poetic for a drunkard; it was a simple statement but it spoke volumes. "In short; Its never wrong" He said shrugging slightly as he stood there the metallic scraping of his armor against the stone wall behind him emanating him his back slightly. "Why do you ask?"

She shrugged. "The Kazekage's guard behaved like it was something to be ashamed of-she said I needed my priorities straight." Kiko sighed, and shook her head. "Maybe it's just me..." she mumbled softly, leaning back against the wall with Nemutai. "But I feel no shame, or that I've lost any sense of respect of duty or priorities...just...a conflicting of ethnics, I suppose. I am a shinobi-a medic, to be had-and shinobi are not supposed to feel or reveal emotions. But I do...more than I should sometimes, I think." San grunted from under the table, and Kiko nodded in acknowledgement to her. "Araa, araa, I know, San...." Kiko wrinkled her nose a bit, lost in her thoughts. The smells around them kept her guard up, so she'd know if anyone got to close to herself or Nemutai.Tsukiko Theme

Within every illusion, there is reality" Akeru was stunned when she realized what Masato had said. "K-kazekage-sama...did you say jonin? Me?"A bright smile then crossed Akeru's face. She felt a bit unprepared, as if she wasn't jonin level quite yet, but that just meant she would have to better herself to make herself worthy of the title. "Thank you, kazekage-sama! I'll do my best to prove myself worthy of the rank!"Now Akeru knew there was much she had to do to make herself strong enough to be a sunagakure jonin. She needed to become stronger, much stronger.

Nemutai shrugged slightly. "Well as I Kage I normally am not suppose to say things like this or my advisors yell at me, but Ignore her. She is either Mad that you found someone you care about; Or she likes the same guy you do; one of the other" He said shrugging slightly as he said that. "How about we return to our seats?" He asked looking at Kiko; mainly wondering if there was anything else she wanted to talk about or not.

Tsukiko smiled half-heartedly at Nemnutai, nodding. "Yes, let's return to our seats...I believe that the final round may begin soon....I wonder if our nominees made it?" Kiko was secretly hoping and cheering for Kazin-he seemed like a good contender, and he'd also proved himself more than worthy of a chunin rank with the way he handled things.Tsukiko Theme

Kirabachi was sitting aloof.
He was on his second cigarette and seemed more bored than anything else. He let out a long, silent yawn as he shifted his weight to his palm and rested on his elbow.
If the situation could be taken care of by anyone- it would be his team. It was unfortunate, he would prefer to be there, but he was stuck with other obligations. No use in complaining about it. A few other jonin where located in the exam area, but they had their duties too. No use dispatching them to a fight that may very well be over now anyway. To be perfectly honest, he was a good deal more concerned with the fact that he was already done with three quarters of his cigarette stash for this trip. Mist probably didn't carry his brand too... unfortunate.
Things that where already decided hardly weighed on his conscious. However, he did feel a bit reminiscent. The pair he had dispatched... Garoud and hopefully Raion, where trained by him. They have been selected right from the Academy. Even in the beginning the two displayed an aptitude for supporting each other. In their first "mission", stealing their headbands from him in the teacher's lounge, they had displayed a high degree of compatibility and coordination. In the Mist mission and the mission to the Uzumaki alliance they had proved their willingness to work as a team. Their third teamate was independent by nature... a good balance. Their reliance on each other was a strength but also a potential weakness. Kagekarasu was the answer to that.
The exams had seen them BOTH pass, partially due to help they gave each other. Shrio (at the time) and Inochi (before he officially joined ANBU) had worked together to defeat the one tailed host. Shiro supplied Inochi with a kunai tied with sleeping gas. Shiro probably didn't know what he was providing, but he knew Inochi had needed an "edge".
Yeah... they will probably deal with any situation dished at them. They had displayed that capacity time and time again. He even valued them, as a pair, more than some of his other senior ANBU operatives. In them... and Kagekarasu, he could rest the safety of his village...
Taking a long drag, he stood up and place his hands on the table in a rather lethargic manor,
"Several hours ago, the village was aggressively attacked by an unknown force. It's defenses where overrun. Our leader, Eimai Buta, meet his death defending the village from these assailants. An early report, delivered to me a short while ago, describes the destruction as "heavy". The army was of an unknown origin. Though I am not ready to rule out an attack from another village, they seemed to be greater in number than a standard assault force. Many of the combatants where not skilled in ninjutsu. I dispatched my aid to more accurately survey the damage but I will act under the assumption that our village is in a state of emergency. I have been chosen by the Fire Daiymo to act as the Hokage in a state of emergency where the current Hokage was either dismissed, injured, or dead. I'll fill that role... but unfortunately, I am unable to fill that role while my duties keep me here."
As he spoke, his voice and intensity rose...
"That being said- I'm putting my faith in the newest generation of ninja. I am going to support my Team, acting as an ANBU Captain- not as the Hokage..."
At this, he pulled his shirt off- to reveal his ANBU whites.
"I'm a soldier, and this is how I can best serve my village."
The ANBU Captain spit out his cigarette and affixed the "Wasp" style ANBU mask over his face.
"Effective immediately, the ninja known as "Master Miso" will be acting as the temporary Hokage...."
