"Emma you're ok!" Farskon cried out, and did not bother to stop the tears from flowing. He hugged her, and then let go of her."Sorry....Emma, sorry I just afraid that if we had let you down...after you and the rest had helped me...."

"..." Before Scribbler realized what she was doing, she was hugging Emma tightly too, and adding more tears to the small puddle under the elf-woman's feet. "...glad you're alright, Lady Emma," she managed.
Then, realizing that she was probably making the noble very uncomfortable, Scribbler awkwardly backed off and looked for a blanket or robes to cover Emma.

Emma threw a slightly awkward arm around both paladin and inkmancer, hugging them back. No tears flowed from her, though. She murmured words of thanks to both of them before they released her, and turned towards the pale figure leaning against a tree, exhausted but very, very happy.
"I need to tell you something, but you have to swear that you won't kill anybody."
He blinked in surprise, straightening and walking over to her. "I swear it."
She drew closer, allowing him to draw her into his chest. It was a sure sign of something that her voice did not break with her next words. "They tried to rape me, Hrothbert."
The surrounding grass froze solid.

Nyrk's face kept its pious stoicism, but Nyrk kept very well in mind he had promised Emma nothing.
Lust. Another of the wretched seven.

"Are you able to walk Emma?" Farskon asked, a little unsure at what they were talking about as Horthbert's expression was grave. He looked out at this area of Italy, it was oddly free of human touch, though there were human corpses and broken catapults.
In the distance there was a city, and it seemed very magic oriented everything made from marble, and indigo. It was a very contrasting site compared to what looked like a finished battle before them.

It was probably a good thing the inkmancer had wandered off to find a covering, else she would have heard Emma's words and spun into a black rage. In any case, she returned with the softest blanket she could find and draped it about the enchantress's shoulders, obscuring the tatters from view.
"We should get moving, I think," she muttered, vaguely puzzled at the grave expressions all around and the frozen grass.

"How many?"
"I don't think that's a good ide-"
"How. Many?"
"...five."
The grass broke apart in a shower of green-tinted ice, leaving a fine powder on the ground.
Emma turned towards Scribbler for a moment, nodding in thanks and drawing the blanket closer around herself.

Scribbler nodded, giving the enchantress a faint smile... And yelped when the grass exploded into dust. "...?!"
A flicker of fear and worry darted across her face before she backed off; evidently something was missed.
Whatever made either noble explode grass like that was probably not a subject to discuss, but...
"What happened?" she whispered, almost soundlessly.

Thunder rolled in the distance and Emma knew she had only a short amount of time before the bomb dropped. "They didn't succeed, love. Men find it difficult to think about rape when there's a knee in their manhood and nails in their flesh." She showed him her hands, with dried blood still under her fingernails.
"They barely touched me."
"They dared to try."
"Be sensible!" she cried, waving a hand around them at the impending magical Hiroshima. "Take the energy that I know you're building up and use it for something that won't violate the oath you just took to me!"
He finally met her eyes, and the rage he held back was terrible indeed. "Name it." he snarled, still keeping her close.
"I don't want to remember it."

Farskon heard, and crossed his arms. This was no pleasant at all, and they did not need this at the moment.
Luckily Emma, had calmed Hrothbert down. Well he thought.

He took a few breaths, hands on her shoulders as she looked up at him with a plea in her eyes. "Are you sure? I can't give those memories back..."
"I'm sure. I just want them out of my head."

A rustle in the bushes emerged, and a few wolfs jumped out.
There was a large wolf, and a smaller younger one.
"Oh of all the times," Farskon grumbled.

Ah. The inkmancer slunk away as quietly as she could manage, wanting to give the couple space.
And of course, just when it seemed safe and a good time to heal, the wolves come out. "...I swear these things can smell anxiety," she mutters.
Two needles of inky poison dropped from her sleeves; Scribbler flung them at the intruding wolves, wanting to incapacitate them. It hit the larger of the two between the eyes, causing a yelp and a swift death. The other needle grazed the smaller wolf, dissolving into the animal's bloodstream.
[not sure how the math works on this.]

((Editing.))
Neither noble of Bainbridge could kill a wolf. They were an animal to near and dear to both their hearts, and both remained passive as the wolves approached.
Emma nearly banged her head against a tree. "Just when I'm about to-oh, bugger everything."

"Damn if only I had another sword,"muttered Farskon, going into a stance meant for two blades, but only holding the ugly Pict sword.
A wolf, leaped onto Farskon, and bit him, luckily Farskon was able to knock it off.
