Saberlin found a hillock of sand and sat down so he could star gaze, swishing his tail around to pat the sand smooth. The grainy substance still radiated warmth from exposure to the sun's rays, countering the slight chill that had begun creeping into the ocean winds.
Leaning back on his hands, Saberlin looked up at the twinkling confetti of stars on display, leaving a smoothed spot for Fern to sit beside him if she wished. He eyes glowed slightly citrine in the growing darkness. "They really are magnificent, aren't they? I used to study them when I was younger. I never realised there were so many diffferent kinds of light before until I started to read about them"

Fern smiled and sat by Saberlin, gazing up at the stars. She leand against his shoulder. "They are beautiful. I didn't know you studied stars."

Idly scooping up a handful of dry sand, he let it sift through his fingers as he continued to watch the night sky, wrapping his tail lightly around Fern once more. "Mm, I used to. Just as a hobby. They used to have exhibitions on at an observatory I liked to visit and every once in a while, something special would happen, like a rare star or a falling star shower. It was something my father and I would do together" he smiled, recalling fond memories from times in the past. It was because of his father he had grown so interested in science and technology and what it could do. Out of that fascination had also sprung the desire to help others. That was one of the reasons he was so passionate about his work.

Fern began stroking Saberlin's tail as she listened to him. "That sounds amazing. I've never seen a shooting star before." She looked up at the sky, gazing at the sparkling lights.

"Is that so?" Saberlin asked quietly. He felt slightly sorry that Fern had never been able to see one before, fleeting though they were. He was going to suggest that they stay longer to watch for one, however, there were no guarantees of an appearance and the night was beginning to grow cold. Concerned for her health and safety, he decided they should probably head back to their room. Surely there would be plenty more nights for stargazing.
Smiling, he teasingly tickled Fern with his tail before slipping it out of her hands. Rising to his feet, he brushed off any sand then offered a hand to help her up as usual. "Come on dear, it's growing cold. I think we should go back to the Inn. Don't worry, I promise I'll find a way for you to see a shooting star some day. I have something in mind"

crystaline melody "I know, we were lucky," she turning her head away from the crimson setting sun. He looked utterly exhausted. She quickly darted back into the room and ordered some food for them both. She returned to watch the ocean with him for a while until the knock at the door interrupted. "That was fast. she thought. Never the less, she thanked the young man who had brought their dinner and slipped him a tip. Wheeling the tray outside, she asked, "Care for something to eat Honey?" Looking over at her he blinked. "Wow that was quick. No you can go first. I'll eat here in a minute. It's been a long day.." he sighed with a tired sigh. Yet he still had his warm smile.

Stardust Drifter Looking over at her he blinked. "Wow that was quick. No you can go first. I'll eat here in a minute. It's been a long day.." he sighed with a tired sigh. Yet he still had his warm smile.

Looking down at the odd concotion he made a silly face before borrowing her fork and took a mouthfull. Gagging a bit he swallowed and blushed. "Ugh...pregnant woman food is not for me." he gently tesed kissing her cheek. "Thank you honey, after we eat would you like a foot or belly massage?" he asked heading into their room getting some of the food from roomservice.

Michi giggled a bit when seeing his reaction to her satisfying dinner.
"Ohhh, a foot massage sounds heavenly. My ankles are so swolen, I can barely feel them anymore." She looked down, her feet just peering out from under her growing belly.
