I'm going to be 26 in a month and most of the people I've come across have been between 14 and 19. I also mostly stick to the guilds that I'm in (although I've been neglecting this one--sorry. :3) The only forums I frequent are the art forums and the dressing room (I'm addicted to tektek). I've been lucky so far in that the people I've met are all mature caring people...they keep their drama to themselves...or at lease keep it out of the thread.

Draconian Pheonix mizducky Hahah you said "yuppies"! Do we have "yuppies" these days? lol I'm not teasing, it really did give me a giggle. I'm so confused by the new labels that "they" (I really don't know who "they" is) put on groups of people. Who decides to slap a label on a group and then tells everyone and people actually listen and start calling those people that name too. Stuff like that baffles me. Yesterday, this 15 yr old was saying something about "scene kids" (i guess that's the new thing lately). Me and a couple others in the crew were like "What exactly is that?" "We don't know what you're talking about." The kid asked how old we were. I'm 29 and one other in the crew was 25. The kid just said "That's why you don't get it." He never actually tried to explain anything. I doubt he even knows what that means. I have no idea what terms for groups of people are, never did. I still don't know what exactly a yuppie is. I use the term generically to mean the so called successful people who drive the largest SUV they can get their hands on, who live for money and success, and who look down on those of us who choose a more "transient" life style. I only work when I need money, never much cared for money. I work a part time job at autozone right now, I do handy man stuff for the people in my neighborhood, fix cars, build houses, rem-model houses, cook, whatever. Move from state to state, city to city, just enjoying what there is. It's getting harder to do that in this day and age so I'm probably going to end up having to go to school and get a real job, It's depressing çause I don't feel like getting into the rat race, but hey, I'll find something fun to go to school for, or maybe move to another country and keep doing the same thing I'm doing now. Hapiness and enjoyment is what's important right? You got yuppie down pretty good. Just like most would call you a hippie. Appearance wise scene kids are very similar to emos, but attitude wise they couldn't be more different. Scene kids go out of their way to appear to be adorable. They add letters to words that they are saying and typing. When not on the internet, scene kids can be spotted at shows. Shows are important, and all scene kids know everything about their music. A favourite pass time of scene kids is to get to know some local bands, be their friends, and then brag about it! One more thing; real scene kids never admit they are scene, this makes them look like posers and nobody wants to be seen as a poser because they're no fun!

I'm 30 and really tired of some of the young ones here. I am so happy that I have found people my age. Thought I was the only one for so long. I started in 2006, just found this guild a couple months ago. I guess I wasn't really looking either. Glad ya'll are here. heart

I'm 45 - got started on here in 06 when my sons, 15 & 16, were playing. Now my 4 year old daughter gets on here with me to fish, work puzzles, etc. Once, a 14 yr old kid started making some inappropriate remarks, so I just typed in "I'm 4 years old" at which point he disappeared lol . It's so nice to see that I'm not the only person my age who likes to play! ninja

I joined Gaia in 2003 at the age of 18. Now, I am 23. And it is nice to have a place for a decent conversation on here again.

I completely forgot I joined this guild. I'm almost 23, and it really seems like the average age of most Gaians is 12. I'm not on all that often, but goodness, when I am it's like being bombarded with immaturity.

I'm 28 and I knew what scene was. I' not sure if this is a bad thing or a good thing. eek
I just started playng last month. I can't quite remember what led me here other than the fact that I knew it existed for a long time and just decided to check it out randomly. After my first few encounters with kids n chat, it definitely is nice to have older peeps to talk to.
