Mercuryangel Yu Mutou I'm asking for everyone's opinion on this, but do you think it would be fun to do a Secret Santa gift exchange within the guild for christmas? If you guys think it's a good idea then tell me! I'd be happy to set it up. You read my mind...I would love to..but we'd have to figure out a way to set it up and all. Sounds cool! Maybe we should ask in the forums who is interested in particpating, and then add them to a list, from which we can pair off users for secret santa. -mokona

Randomly...d'you guys think it'd be neat if we had a chosen font color...so when we went on mod business or approved a thread, we could write it in our font color?
Like sakura could be pink, I'd be blue, and Yu would be Dark Red....
We could say: Yu Merc &Sakura approve this thread...or want to start a secret santa..or something along those lines...
Me thinks that'd be cool...trivial...but still fun.

Ohh, this is getting confusing. I like the font color idea though, even If already do that. But anyway we need to finilize some of the secret santa guidelines. How about....
1. To enter you need to fill out a form like:
Username:
Favorite color: (because items can be different colors)
Items needed: (Shoes, shirts, pants, etc...((Lot's of the time I see people walking around with no shoes...)) )
Wishlist: (I guess this would be optional, whatever you guys think)
Then once we got all of the entires we could randomize them and PM them to all of the participents. It might be a little confusing but oh well...
2. We need a price range. Maybe... 300 to 2k like you guys said.
3. Also, all items need to be giftwrapped and say who there for.
Hmm, I think that's the basics. What else can you guys add?

We need to pick a date to hold it. Can't have a gift exchange if half the guild is gone. I propose sometime in the 2nd week of December...that's when most vacations start so people tend to be home...
This is really not that important...but do you think we should keep it to female avvy's giving prezzies to female avvies? That way, though we have the marketplace, members won't have to get confused if their secret santa asks for something for the opposite gender avvy...
Perhaps keep the wishlist posted in their profile? At least till Santa is done so instead of searching through 4 or 5 pages for your person, you can go right to their profile and look?

Hmm? Are we using colors now?
I think we should start getting names starting December 1st, and pair people off during the second week.
Pairing off avatars by gender seems like a good idea, considering none of the guys can purchase skirts. stare
How will we make sure that everyone swaps gifts? Will there be a penalty for forgetting a secret santa?

There can be a thread for it. We'll keep a registered list. And mark off the people who've recieved gifts in red so we'll know. And we can remind the members: DO NOT FINALIZE A TRADE until you're sending a present out, and getting one present back. If one of the windows is empty, you don't confirm the trade. That way, if the person never sends a gift, at least their partner won't have wasted money.
As to penalty...hmm...oh! If they forget, then the value of the cheapest item on their partner's wishlist will be required to be donated to the guild! Then we'll still benefit. We can have an "in debt" thread...OK no...never mind...that's too much work...I'm in a good mood so I can't think of any penalties...anyone have ideas?

Banning would be our only option...seems a bit harsh, but tis the only way to punish as of now.

A girl will sell us her guild for 17k!! She said she'd be happy to hold it for us. And that guild's account has some 13k in it for now!! eek I told her we were gathering our funds. Which is true.
