FlashbackJon Killa kans are widely regarded as a better investment than dreads. Fact is, you can pop a dread in 1 hit regardless of how tough it is. At least you have the safety net of a squad of kans. Plus the armor plates are cheaper on kans. wink the weakness of dreads is one of the reasons Ive always been confused about people whining about Furiosos. Its just a dread, armor 12 with 6" move. Dreads arent bad in drop pods though.
Further though, there is the simple fun in converting the ork walkers as opposed to the box with a gun and a fist.

Well, that's the other benefit - while you might not take a dread to the field, making your own kustom kans is just as fun.
I'm planning on a set of kan-sized tinboyz. I'll have to skip the third (squat) one and replace it with another race: I was thinking Tau - those bunny ears are just too good to pass up mocking.

No, Lootas with the scout squad option.
And for the record, Flash Gitz have good range OR strength, not both. wink

Yes, that's a good idea.
Although the new Codex is scheduled for the end of this year or the beginning of next. So... y'know, there's value in waiting.
And it's not like the bothered to put any fluff in the existing Codex.
