Headmistress Lillian Van Nikolai
Lillian sat up, took a deep breath and glared at the letter on her desk. She took out a bottle of ink, cleared her desk except for the letter, staring her in the face with it's horrible news, and took out a nice quill. She started writing, she knew the ministry expected some reply. But what could she do? She had no idea what to say, what to write. She put her elbow on the desk and leaned on her hand. Tonight would be another sleepless night...a knock on the door. Fionna or Lucas, probably.
"Come in." She said with as much cheer as she could muster. When she saw it was Fionna she smiled and said,
"Good morning Fionna, you're up early."
It was actually way too early for even herself to be up, she'd love to recline back in the armchair and sleep. Just smile on she told herself.

Fionna came in when the Headmistress responded and smiled at her. Smiling was easy for Fionna right now because she was in such a good mood from the previous night. Nothing, nothing could damper her mood. "Morning Headmistress." She said to her brightly. She shrugged about being up early. She hadn't realized how early it had been upon awakening, but didn't really care much to be honest.
She came a little closer to the Headmistress before she spoke the reason for disturbing the Headmistress and leaving Lucas alone for this minute. She didn't want to leave his side at all, but she knew that would be impossible. "I just wanted to ask if I could meet with you Friday." She told her. Fionna finally noticed what her mood had hidden from her. It was the fact that the Headmistress seemed a bit stressed and down. A puzzled expression consumed Fionna's face and she asked, "Is everything alright Headmistress?"

Lillian pondered this for a moment and said;
"Sure, I think Friday evening would be fine."
She took a deep breath and looked up Fionna's innocent face when she asked if everything was fine. Given recent events, she didn't want to shoo her away and say nothing. After all, she hated lying and hated the face Fionna had when she'd found out she'd been lied to. So, Lillian held out the letter the Ministry had sent.
"I trust you, so you can read it."
After a moment, she said in a calm voice that nevertheless shook a little; "If some idea can't be made to get her to eat, or if she doesn't start eating, she will end up dying in there. And as her Headmistress, it's my responsibility to think of ideas how. After all, she's only meant to be in there as a warning, a message to her. That cell isn't supposed to be her death bed, but if she refuses to eat, then it might be."
She looked down at the hand that wasn't holding her head up for a moment. Rhi's life was literally in her hands. The thought made her cold.

She was glad that Friday would work. Waiting any longer than that would be too hard. Plus, she wanted to do a bit of reading before hand. Just to refresh her memory. She couldn't wait. She prayed that the Headmistress would understand and allow her to train for what she wanted.
Fionna looked at the letter as the Headmistress held it out to her. She quickly read it and she gasped slightly. Her hand went to her mouth as she did so and said, "That's terrible. Why is she doing that." Fionna shook her head not understanding. She tried to think of something, anything that might be able to get Rhiannon to eat. She thought to the day Rhi had been taken. It was a few moments before a trickling of an idea formed. She slowly started saying, "Maybe...Maybe her um lover could convince her to eat or something. Write a letter or something?" She didn't like to think about RHi or the fact that she had a lover. It made her shiver just thinking about it.

Lillian shook her head sadly. She'd been in there and she remembered well how you lost the will to live, no matter how strong it had previously been. She didn't feel like talking about her past with Fionna thought, she liked to put it behind her and move on.
"I can't blame her." Lillian said with a soft voice, not quietly, but it sounded quiet as the memories of Azkaban came flooding back to her. She repressed a shudder.
"She's doing it, not because she wants to. You just lose the will to live in there, dementors gathered around the cell every second of every day."
She didn't know of course, that Al had already told Fionna she's been to Azkaban. She didn't mind students knowing, she just didn't prefer telling them, re-living it.
"I would, but he's not allowed to contact her in return. Even I'm not allowed to go near her cell. Only ministry officials can, to get her to eat or for any other reason they may need to. Other than that, her lover can't contact her, and I doubt he'd reply kindly to a letter from Hogwarts."

Lucas yawned, rolled over and opened his eyes. He was in the hospital wing...what...? And then it all came back and he smiled to himself. Fionna. He thought he heard voice from the nurse's office and sat up a bit. He put his fingers on his lips for a second, remembering how Fionna's had been there not all that long ago. Was he sure he wasn't dreaming? He pinched his arm for a second and it hurt, so okay. Ouch. That answers that question.
He didn't feel anymore pain from the fall off his broom, true enough, the solution had taken care of that. Since no one was around, he pulled the curtains around his bed, made sure they were completely closed and changed out of his Quidditch uniform into his school robes. He sat on the bed waiting patiently. His clothes were shabby as usual, but since it had been the fullmoon what, two days ago, they looked even worse. But he wasn't so ashamed of it anymore. If one amazing person could love him, could say those three words he hadn't heard in so long, then it wasn't too bad.

It had been the only thing she could think of. She really didn't want Rhi to die in there. She was a terrible person, but did not deserve death. She shook her head and said, "I can't think of anything else. I think we might just need to hope she has enough willpower to last the rest of the month." She sighed as she said this wanting to truly help, but feeling useless.
Fionna heard some shuffling around in the Hospital Wing. She figured that probably meant that Lucas was up and about. She wanted to go back and see him. There really was nothing else Fionna could do so she figured it would be fine. She paused slightly then said, "Well I'm looking forward to Friday." with a small smile again. "I'm going to go see Lucas." She added before turning to head out.
Fionna exited the office and saw Lucas sitting on the bed. She couldn't help a huge grin envelope her face. She walked over to him and said, "Morning sleepy head." He hadn't slept much alter than her, but he couldn't know that.

Lucas beamed as Fionna walked out of the nurse's office. Darn, was he really asleep for that long? It still looked pretty early. Oh well. At that moment Al walked in.
"Hey, Al." He said smiling, and he gave a bit of a wave as she walked into her mum's office. She was a good friend. Now he turned to Fionna and gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek and put his arm over her shoulders. He felt all better and right now he desired nothing more than to walk across Hogwarts with her, have breakfast with her, than sit out on the grounds with her head laying on his chest.
He didn't ask why she was in the nurse's office, he didn't mind too much, he didn't care too much about anything right now. He was still floating on air. And about Rhiannon? Well, he wouldn't want her dead either but what could he possibly do?
"Well good morning to you." He said smiling. He smoothed down one of her locks of hair that had been sticking out oddly from the rest of her head.
"Someone slept well, judging by your bed head." He teased, not unkindly. He kissed her cheek again to let her know that it wasn't ugly or anything, actually he found it cute.

She liked, no, loved being in close proximity with him. Her hands suddenly went to her head though when Lucas pointed out the bed head. She would have frantically tried to comb her hair with her fingers if Lucas hadn't given her a reassuring little kiss. She did ask, "It isn't too bad?" though still worried about her appearance.
She looked at Lucas head to toe and suddenly remembered something. She jumped up and said,"Oh! I keep forgetting. I have your jacket in my bag from when you gave it to me the other day." She had almost forgotten AGAIN. What was that the third time? She had finally remembered though. Fionna bent down and pulled it out of her bag.

Lillian was stricken to see her daughter's tears. She rushed over and held Al in her arms and held her, just hugged her. What did problems with Rhi matter when her own daughter had to suffer and it was her fault, all her fault...
"Al." She whispered. "Sit down, I'll tell you everything."
And she did.
She told her about Lucas being a werewolf, about Rhi not eating. That was all that she had been hiding, but it was a lot to take in. Al nodded and gasped at certain parts of Lucas's story and cried, not quite as hard as Fionna had, throughout the story. Al gave her mom a tight hug at the end of it and Lil said gently,
"I'm sorry. I won't keep secrets from you. But please, keep these from others."
And Lil knew Al wouldn't tell a soul, she was like her mother like that. Lillian had only told her daughter, she hadn't told anyone else. The staff needed to know, Fionna found out. Her own flesh and blood, it was like telling the mirror.
"Love ya." She said to Al before she left, and smiled when she heard "Love you too" In return.
Then she got back to working on the letter to the ministry. She didn't know how they could force Rhiannon to eat, but she recommended a lower level of security, not as many dementors? She knew they wouldn't move her, but it was up to Rhiannon now. She was putting Rhiannon's life back in Rhi's hands, not in her own. If she ate, she lived. If not, it was like suicide.

"No." Lucas said grinning, taking the hand she was trying to fix her hair with.
"You look fine, don't worry."
He took his jacket back and said, "Thanks. Sorry I left so quickly that time.." He knew she understood why he had done it now, but he still felt the need to say sorry. She must've wondered why he'd do something like that, and he couldn't blame her. The jacket smelled like the perfume he wore. It was an odd thing to think, but there we go. Wolves were good with scents and all, and so was he.
At that moment, Al walked out looking a bit teary. She walked straight up to him and smiled a bit weakly. When she was done speaking, he grinned and said; "Don't worry about it."
After she left, he held Fionna a bit tighter.
"Thank goodness Al and Rhiannon aren't gossips." He chuckled. "The Headmistress thinks her daughter's trustworthy though, so I can too. Plus I owe the headmistress for keeping my secret for so long, still keeping it secret and covering for me. And getting the Wolfsbane. And convincing my stubborn parents. And getting me into Hogsmeade every fullmoon." He laughed a bit at how many things he owed her for.
He wondered for a moment if Fionna'd be angry that Al knew as well, but he knew her better. Not to mention that the list of things he owed the Headmistress for might put her mind at ease, assuring Fionna that he didn't mind Al knowing, so she shouldn't either. He wasn't sure how people would react if they knew, but didn't know him like Al and Fionna did. Al and him were good friends, they had been ever since they both saw the thestrals and met. But with Fionna, it could never be just friends. He could never settle for that with her, it had tortured him to not even be that when she was ignoring him. Still, he put that behind him and took her hand.
"Wanna go down for Breakfast?" He asked, ready to go and sit at the gryffindor table, not alone this time.
((Lawl, not wanting Fionna to think Lillian is gonna go telling people. XD Rose is the only one that knows the Rhiannon secret but doesn't know Lucas's as well, so we can just keep it that way now ^^ ))
