Suddenly three fellow team members appeared around Larks area. "There you are! Kaleb and the other three are on the other side. He set us to find you." one said All of them were of varying ages but definitely the younger of the group. "He wants us to meet up again. Said you might had an idea." said another.

Lark couldn't help but sigh, she wonder what kind of plan Kaleb thought she had but she nodded and fired once at the one of the guys that had her boxed in and started to make a run for it to regroup with Kaleb under a lot of fire. "You called sir." she said panting as she came up behind him finally making it to their side, he had been there since they lost the flag the last time she wasn't sure how that happened but she knew it was a result of a blunder on the youngest member part.

Kaleb and them ducked behind their base. He grinned. "I figured you'd make it. I have a plan to win." he stated. He looked over and fired a few shots. "I want you to take your little squad and go fetch the flag. You're leader. Do what you have to and us your team. We'll draw fire this way. Think you can do that?" he asked.

"You got it." Lark told him with a strange sense of confidence gesturing to the three boys to follow as she headed of into the thin tree line where they would have the most cover from the other team's line of sight while Kaleb gave cover fire they would come up from behind and win the game she got into position and waited. "We come at them hard and fast got it." She whispered to the other three to make sure they got the plan and didn't screw up

They nodded in agreement. "So who should get the flags? While were here we might as well get our and theirs, right?" the woman pipped up.
Bo was watching with a pair of binoculars a good distance away. She had to admit, the old guy new how to have a good time. She was surprised to see Lark was holding her own.

"I think it should be me and you." Lark told the woman "The boys should take out the sentries so we can grab the flags for the win." Lark waited until she heard the shouts that meant that Kaleb had gotten their attention Lark looked at her group and nodded before taking of running as fast as she could toward the flags firing her gun at the sentries so that the boys could have a easier time with them making the grab for the red flag

Bo watched fascinated and texted Devon an update. Lark seemed to have come up with a plan. Straight forward, but effective. She liked it. The got the flags and retreated the boys covering their back. Then something happened. Kaleb and his team stopped their cover fire. "What are you up to,old man?" she murmured.
Kaleb set down with the three other people behind cover, relaxing. "Thanks for helping me with this boys." he said. "No problem, though I'll admit this is rather odd. Very fun, but odd." said Hector, an old friend of Kaleb. "We'll I needed to see how she reacted under pressure." "Pretty well it seems." "Perhaps." he said peeking around the corner to see how the girl would react to this new curve ball.

If Kaleb would have asked Lark what she thought of his little test she might have taken a page from Devon and yelled at him and began the long walk home since she didn't have her cell phone which was supposed to stop Devon from constantly checking in on her a bad idea now in retrospect. Just as soon as Kaleb and the other four stopped their cover fire the whole red team began to focus its attention on them and for a moment they had to retreat behind a wall on red's side with the enemy closing in on them Lark had a plan but their wasn't a good chance it would work in fact it might cost them the game but Kaleb would be to blame for not holding up his part of the plan. She looked at the other members of the team and nodded knowing they saw the only option she did too. She and one of the guys stood up and began to fire a few shots at the reds to confuse them a bit before making a break for it back to the blue side right when her feet touch on their side with the red's flag they had won, but Lark ended up passing out when she did due to the fact that a red had got her in the head at the same time

Kaleb jumped up and caught her as she fell. Everyone around her froze. Things like this happened, but not often. "If anyone asks I had nothing to do with this." said one of of the young boy, backing away. Kaleb rolled his eyes. "These things happen, she'll be okay. I'll take her to the doctor." He picked up the small girl anyway. "Already everyone! Let's load up!" someone called.
"You know this isn't going to bode well with your son." Hector whispered. "I'll deal with that. I'm still his father. But Lark did well, I was surprised. She isn't as timid as she believes." Kaleb seemed quite pleased with himself. "Remind me not to put my daughters in your care." Kaleb had to chuckle at that.
Bo finished taking a video with her phone. The thing had pretty good quality if she did say so herself. That didn't change that fact that Devon would be very proud of Lark. And very VERY angry with his father. "Maybe I should disappear after this." she muttered, sending the video. She didn't want to be in the middle of that fight.

Lark began to come around when the doctor was looking over her to make sure she didn't have a serious head injury which she didn't just a bump that was going to give her a killer headache and make her drowsy for the rest of the day waking up she moaned as the doc also touched a spot on her side which had gotten hit pretty bad. "OH ouch that hurts." she moaned out still half out if it

The doctor looked at Kaleb. "I'll prescribe some pain killer. It seems to be just a good knot forming on her head and a very mild concussion. Just keep an eye on her. Call me if she seems to get worse rather than better. Kaleb nodded. "I'll take her home now. Thanks doc." The man nodded and handed him the prescription. "Come on Lark. Let's get you back." he murmured, picking her up.

Lark groaned in an almost child like way as the bruise on her side was aggravated she had closed her eyes again because the light was to bright and the room spun and she wanted to sleep again but Kaleb's walking prevented that for the moment. "Where am I? Did we win?" Lark said sounding like she was talking her sleep

"We're going home." Kaleb said, placing her in the passenger seat and buckling her in. "You did good. We won because of you." He informed her before closing the door.
Devon was sitting at his desk looking the picture of calm. It is wasn't for the dark aura that seemed to be coming from his office you would think he was fine. Needless to say, Bo hadn't returned(and was replaced by his mother) and no one got near that office. Only Fredrick was brave enough to go in there. And laugh at the video that was making Devon fume. In fact he was laughing his head off. Which did nothing to lighten his Alphas mood. "Oh man, That was great. She did awesome, but that last part. Priceless." he looked at Devon. "She's fine, I'm sure. This tends to happen when playing paintball." Devon growled something about ripping up something and broke his tenth pencil.

Lark sighed a little on her way out again, "Devon's going to have my head he told me to be careful." Lark said naturally taking the blame for something that again wasn't her fault not that she knew Kaleb stopped covering her on purpose, she really did think it was so she wouldn't really be lying to just telling him what she thought she did to get hurt like this, nor did she know that Devon knew what happened exactly she would try to cover for Kaleb as much as she could to stop another fight between them because she hated it when that did happen. Her head was in so much pain that she couldn't feel Devon through their bound so she was spared his dark emotions for the moment and the minute Kaleb started driving again she fell asleep again and wouldn't wake up for awhile again so she was going to be spared from the hell Devon was going to raise in couple of hours

Kaleb rolled his eye. "I doubt he could harm a hair on that head of yours." Kaled thought. "It's mine he'll try to take. Lark was already asleep by this time. Kaleb got her home and took her inside. It was easier to just carry her in that try to wake her up.
