"Sure," Shiro agreed. "And if you want I can give you that book on runeology when you come for that list, I'm almost finished with it now. One chapter left to write out."

He indicated the thick leather bound journal that he was writing in. It was at least a few hundred pages thick, and on the open page lines of tiny writing were visible, along with illustrations to go along with the explanations.

Shiro looked over his shoulder at the book again before looking back at Miyuki.

"Give me until tonight," he told her. "Dinner time. That will give me time to do some reading on Espeons, too."

"And potions?" Andarien asked anxiously.

Shiro smiled. "That may take a bit longer, but I'll look into it," he promised.

"That works," Shiro agreed. "In the meantime, I do suggest letting your Pokemon rest - both Ai and Eon. Yes, Ai just evolved, and yes, that does typically restore energy, but just to be on the safe side, let them rest. Inside their Pokeballs is the best place for that, if you want to take them with you for now."

Without hesitation, Andarien took out Eon's starry Pokeball and returned Eon to it. He liked having Eon out with him, but he wanted to be extra sure that Eon would fully recover. Besides, he still had Ponydash out with him, so it wasn't like he was alone.

Shiro laughed. "Well, if that's what she needs ... yes, there is something special about that. Sunlight was her requirement to evolve from an Eevee into an Espeon, so sunlight is her element. Like Miyu and snow. It makes her stronger and helps her to recover more quickly. And Andarien, Eon will have the same with moonlight," he added, turning to his smaller cousin. "He will evolve only during the night, and it will give him extra strength and recovery abilities."

Andarien perked up a bit at that. "So it's okay that he didn't evolve when Ai did?" he asked anxiously. "It doesn't mean he's weaker?"

Shiro chuckled. "Not at all. It just means that his collar kept him from evolving at the same time. If he evolved during the day, he would become an Espeon, like Ai, instead of the Umbreon you wanted him to become."

"Absolutely," Shiro nodded seriously. "And actually, I don't even think he would need to - though it would definitely help. Eevees evolve during moments of happiness, pride, or eagerness towards their master. It's a bit different than for other Pokemon. Ponydash, for example, is more typical - for him, evolving will require training or battling."

Andarien smiled and put one hand on Ponydash's head. "Hear that?" he grinned. "We have to keep working before you can evolve!"

Ponydash looked silently up at Andarien, but its head rose ever so slightly as if daring someone to say he wasn't up to the task.

Shiro chuckled. "Any time," he assured her. "But for now, I'd best get back to the runeology book if I'm going to have it finished for you by tonight, like I promised. I'll see you all at lunch."

"See you later!" Andarien waved and headed to the door, Xion and Rhiannon in tow.

"Which was are our rooms again?" Andarien asked, slightly embarrassed that he couldn't remember. In his defense, the castle here was a veritable maze, worse than the palace in the Eastland (though he barely remembered that one).

"This way!" Rhiannon beamed, motioning for the others to follow her again.

Xion rolled his eyes. "Here we go again," he muttered under his breath, following after his sister.

Andarien grimaced. "My cloak."

It had been cold outside, and since he was assuming that they were going to be going back out to their parents, he wanted to keep warm.

Aside from that, he didn't think he would need anything Eon was going to stay in his Pokeball for now, and the Pokeball could stay quite easily in Andarien's pocket, and Ponydash would stay out, so he didn't need anything for them.
