"And the fact you drove her from the clan didn't? Hypocrisy brother your a walking example of it."

He smirked from ear to ear, AM rounds Corbin and Idens biggest play thing. Dagoth's previous question answered whatever had happened to the smurf had weakened this Corbin beyond measure, the cainite let out a long sigh this was not what he wanted to happen. Iden was supposed to come first, learn the truth through combat and then Dagoth would have a bloody oblivion with his elder brother.

"My days where over the moment I died, my nights...they are eternal."

Dagoth watched with some pure enjoyment, this was very old school from Corbin and he hated that this was to be it. Dagoth rolled his neck, raising his left arm at the same time his blade appearing his hand the blade stretching down the length of his arm. With the slightest flex of his hand the blade shattered spraying thousands of micro shards around the cainite, Dagoth raised his eye brows at Corbin as the hail of bullets roared towards him.

The maelstorm was met by the swarm of shards each fragment of Dagoth's blade being a small doorway into an other realm similar in nature to Roan's Void's garden. A place Dagoth had been building for a long time, he turned to Corbin his own swarm still curning around him. Giving the older cainite a shrug of he shoulders.

"Should we hug and make up?"

Come to me.

*The chasm had changed. Once more, the gaping hole in the endless ice fields was established, furs and pelts decorating the space.
There were less rooms, for now, with only a central lounge in which sat Ice's restroed throne, a bed chamber for the best, cells, and the Hall of Masks. As yet, the Cathedral of Fear was still hidden in the ice.

Ice sat on his throne, a glass of vitae in his rigth hand, staring indolently at the empty walls. Hius six legged form managed sitting easily, scarily enough, as he called to his Revenant*

Master....
Bring me wolves and men. I want men to work on. Im going out.
Sir, is tha....
Do NOT question me, ghoul. Obey me, and I will rip you apart later.
Thankyou, my Lord. It will be done.

*Ice.... sensed an opportunity. And he was off to monopolise on it*

*Mission accomplished. Ice returned to the chasm with a swagger in his step. All six steps, in fact.
Back in his centaur form, the Tzimisce enjoyed the thrill of speed, galloping wildly across the remaining snow fields above the chasm, his hooves wide soup plates to prevent sinking into the last of the snow as he ran for his home.

Closer to the actual chasm, the snow finally gaze way to just sheet ice. Since the Anon's return, no more snow had fallen. The Chasm was again his plane, his home slowly rebuilding itself as his power and grace returned, after he'd expended the last of his efforts on Iden and William the day of his rebirth.

Skating across the fozen expanse, hooves slimming back down to cope with the side, he came to a stop above the chasm, staring down into the clear tunnels, watching ghouls at work. He had started to salvage the remnant of his Revenant family, and in the chamber under his hooves, the debauchery needed to ensure MORE would soon follow was already taking place, the heat of such occasionally clouding the ice roof like steam on a mirror, before it faded.

Elegantly descending the stairs back into his lair, the faun scowled at the still empty walls. All of his art, destroyed. All of his work, gone.
No matter. It was time for a new subject. A new direction.*

Where are you, b***h?
Here, my lord.
Stop fawning and get my studio reopened. Today, I will work on you. Have you brought me my desires?
Three timber wolves have been secured, beloved master, and a range of males for you to choose from have been acquired and await you in the cells. Tell me you preferance and I shall acquire more.
You will not be here long, Szantovich. Remember that.
I understand.

*Shooing Frion towards the studio to finish opening the sealed area so his work could once again begins, Ice went to inspect his new captives. Soon, he would have power once more. And then... then, he had a new subject to pursue, a new interest. How very interestig his grandchilder were. And how cautious. He would have to be careful, when the time came to do more than just watch.*

*The Chasm. Of course that was where Ice would bring William. And the smug git was in high spirits as he did so.

Setting? The main lounge. The place was made of ice, of course, but the main room wasnt cold. It was the only place in the entire realm with a fire roaring, furs covering every surface for seating, and heat in the area.
Ice would gently deposit Will here as promised, as they arrived.

Turning his back to the Hybrid, Ice walked across to his own seat, modified to deal with all his legs, and curled up on it, taking up a glass of vitae as he did so.
All around the room, new scultures were on display. Living statues encased in ice, of familiar faces. Corbin, Faye... Will, Iden.*

Sit down boy, Im not going to eat you. Yet.

Sinking to a kneeling position as Ice deposited him on the ground, Will assumed that he would be trading one frozen hell hole for another; to say that he was pleasantly surprised at the warmth this place offered was an understatement. Once his legs where strong enough to carry him, Will would move as close to the fire as possible; the heat quickly bringing life back to his body. Dropping the look he had been using to keep concealed in Egypt, Will set to work reloading the recoilless rifle still clutched in his hand; snapping open the end of the launcher and dropping in a new shell from his backpack. Once finished, Will would quiet down and turn all of his attention to Ice; his 'host' for the moment, though captor was a more accurate term.

"So what is it you wish to speak to me about Ice, why are you so interested in me; and don't try to say you're not. If you weren't then you wouldn't have a statue of me in the room."

Its practice, dear boy. Just practice. I AM an artist after all. And the piece is sadly flawed. Something I intend to rectify before you leave. I promised no harm woudl come to you, I will keep my word. But I DO require a better look at you. I hate imperfect art. There is something still entirely too wolfin about that piece, here you are of course part Nothing. I am sure you will indulge my tendancies, before you leave, wont you?

*Waving a hand languidly, Ice rolled his eyes and shifted to his normal faun form, cracking his joints as he did so. His hooves seemed dipped in silver as they touched the floor, the spikes across his body similar, so he appeared as a strange god of the winter as his antlers receeded to horns, and he blended with the blues and whites of the chasm*

I dont do butch men, normally. I prefer them more like Corbin, or evil like Faye. Ah Faye.. how I miss your touch.

But most of all... what I truly desire... truly wish to have under my hands... well, can you guess? There is but one I want, one who to whom I would give the fullness of my skill, for what he has done...

Shifting uncomfortably at the mention of Ice needing his help to 'perfect' his statue, Will had a gut feeling that he did not want to help out at all, and that this would end in tears even in a best case scenario. Listening to the faun ramble on after he had shifted back to his truer form, Will already knew whom he was speaking about; who was it that he had not listed as of yet that the thing had an obsession with?

"Iden, you want Iden correct? It's the only one I can think of, last time I saw you two together, he was busy trying to diablerize you while you where blood-bonding him to you; I doubt you would put that much effort into something you don't care about."
PostPosted: Fri Sep 24, 2010 9:06 am

Oh yes.... Iden. He made it easy. I put in no effort that day. Foolish, headstrong, stubborn, resistant..... he is quite the catch.

*Ice laughed, the sound like the pealing of silver bells off the chasm walls as he spoke of his new interest*

And that is why I have no touched him since. Blood bonded... its not what I want. If I had, I coudl so easily have taken advantage, forced the bond to still be in effect. I did not. A different kind of bond I may have once considered.... but I foudn that with another. One whom he put through a hell HE created.

For that, I am still angry with him. But I could be talked into forgiving..
.

*setting his galss down, Ice leant forwards, his deceptively calm pink eyes searing into Will as he spoke*

You have no idea what my goals are. You have no idea the full bredth of what I can do. You have no idea if you are already fulfilling my aims, or resisting me without incurring the full bredth of my wrath.
You do not know WHAT I am, let alone the truth of what I can do. Because you cannot think like me, you cannot defend against me, and for YOU in particular, William Spiers, I am nemsis. I coudl freeze you to death without ever touching you.

But I have said it is not YOU I desire, and that I will not harm you. Why do you think that is?

"My first assumption is because bait tends to do its job most effectively when not dead or beaten within an inch of its life; though that seems like an invalid point given that you could easily just flesh craft me into some kind of immobile lump of flesh that would be easier to control. The second is that you want a messenger of some kind, but that is more of a shot in the dark then anything; really I have no idea why you are being as civil as you are with me, when you know that just by throwing me out of this room would most likely kill me."

To say that Will was terrified for his life at the moment, was an easy assumption; he knew full and well that there was no way he was getting out of here alive unless Ice allowed him to, and that was what frightened him the most. Ice wanted him to stay alive, healthy, and unharmed; why?
PostPosted: Fri Sep 24, 2010 9:24 am

Not just a dumb mutt.... very good boy, very good.

*Ice smirked and sat back*

All of you are messangers for me. My past actions passed on between you even when I am not around.
I can sense your trepidation. Your fear. It is a pale comparison for what I had... what I was enjoying the very day Iden broke into my home... but it suffices. I could tease so much more out of you. All of your fear, your hate, your drive.

Shall I live up to my name and rape you? Call you puppy? Graft fur over your body and extract your teeth one at a time? Shall I leave you to shiver to death in one of my cells? You could not stop me if I chose such. The reasons why I do not cannot be said to be as simple as those you stated. Nor are they.

Iden cannot come here without a gateway in. You are not bait. But there ARE things I desired, and for today... I wished to meet my great grandson. And I wished to ask you a question.

The moment that Ice mentioned calling him 'puppy' Will's face contorted into a feral scowl, a look of utter distaste and revulsion; if it where any other man Will would have screamed and yelled about not calling him that, but he knew that such an outburst here was not a good thing. So biting his tongue and calming down, Will listened to all of the horrible things that Ice could and most likely would do to him if he where captured again. Though he was quite amused at some of Ice's reasoning as to why he wanted to talk to him alone; some kind of parental instinct to meet his grandson coming from such a creature was frankly quite absurd.

"Well, what question is it that you have to ask; state it, and I'll do my best to answer it."
PostPosted: Fri Sep 24, 2010 9:42 am

Come. Walk with me. Bring that fur, to keep yourself warm.

*Standing, Ice headed out of the main room, and up the corridor. As he walked, among corridors still empty of statues and sculptures, the ice grew darker as he moved through twists and turns, whispering becoming audible as they walked*

I will show you something special. In return for you sating my curiosity.
Corbin Sired you. You are the childe of my previous muse. And yet, he is not the one you primarily follow. When orders conflict, it is my daughter you would follow, is it not?

Letting Ice get in front of him, Will would follow along after grabbing the animal fur he had been sitting on and wrapping it around himself; catching up to Ice, he would try to walk along side the thing without letting himself get to close, with his cannon on his back he wouldn't have much warning if Ice decided to attack him.

"Correct, Corbin may have sired me, but it was Roan herself who brought me, gave me a home, and gave my life purpose; for that I give her my loyalty and anything else she desires."

The corridor they where walking through was familiar, Iden, Yoh, and he had walked through a similar one in their first foray into the cave.
PostPosted: Fri Sep 24, 2010 9:57 am

Why?

*This was Ice's question. He wasnt asing out of jealously, confusion, or anything else save for pure curiosity.*

You have the power, it cant be taken from you, so why give something as frail yet commiting as loyalty to someone who did not give you such power?
Love does NOT conquer all, and the dead do not love. A home is helpful, but why not a home in which YOU are the boss? Purpose... the world is wide, and even with all my years, I still like living and have plenty to do for fun. You dont need others to give you purpose.

Why give up everything for an undying elder who will not ever get out of the way and let you achieve your full potential? Why commit yourself to being a servant for the rest of your days?

*As they moved on, the whispering got louder, until the ice parted and revealed the black corridor of murmuring masks. Ice stopped in the entrance way, wanting Will's answer before going further*

Why? That was a good question, half listening to Ice's speech about being free, happy, and in charge of his own destiny; William thought about his own reasons for following Roan, why he would rather follow her lead, than lead himself.

"At first I know that a part of it was because I knew I would live the longest with them, at that point I was completely unfamiliar with what Gaia was as a people; so I went and found Roan at her establishment, and went from there. At first I had expected her to be like every other a*****e prince, putting on airs of humanity in order to dupe the easily swindled into following along; but I was quickly proven wrong, each time I was beaten or defeated I was cared for instead of being lamented and thrown out. The Princes I have served in the past would have either banished me for my failure, or declared a bloodhunt on me for my 'incompetence.' Roan has never even mentioned once, my continued lack of performance; instead she has gone to great lengths to help me improve, and learn things I would never have had privy to without decades more added to my age. And as far as I know she either does it because she wants to, or because, like you, she see's me as family; even before my embrace she was like this."

Pausing a moment to tighten the fur blanket around himself, Will thought about what he would say next before continuing.

"So, I serve her both out of a twisted kind of honor and loyalty for all that she has given me, because she has treated me like a family member since day one and not the misfit I am, and because I am truly happy here for the first time I half a century and do not wish to be on my own again. That's the best I can do to give you a reason why I am happy to serve under her, there is more to it than that, but it is bordering on neigh impossible for me to put it into words."
