"wow, do you think it may have been eating away at the island?" Mina asked, looking at the size of the creature. "and, I think it's covered its core cause, I don't see it's crystal core." She leaned side to side some to try and get a different angle on it.

Derrick raised a brow at Mina's correct deduction. "How the heck did she figure that out on her own just by looking at it?" "There's brains in that beauty. In that belly too, but you'll just have to wait and see there." Replied Eric to his brother. He received a headshake an answer. "Whatever it is, your girlfriend is correct on all accounts." Hearing the group, it turned around and faced them. The scorpion lifted it's claws into the air and snapped them, preparing to fight. "Here it comes, anyone got a plan?" Farley unsheathed his own dual swords and spun them around. "Core is on it's tail, making it a hard target to swing or fire at. If we can pin it down somehow, it will make for an easier target that way."

Mina smiled and stood up. "leave that to me." She said patting the ring in her armor. Her armor turned brown and she smiled. "This things made of rock and I've got the earth world ring. If I can shake a house with a stomp I'm sure I can pin a tail." She unshiethed her sword and jumped down at the scorpion.

Derrick smiled and looked at the men in their unit. "We'll leave her to that. Eric and I will assist Mina at various ranges, Farley will cover the rear, the rest will provide you with cover fire." Giving them their orders, the unit took off their points. The scorpion went for Mina first, attacking her with it's claws. The hail of gunfire coming from the others slowed it down some, giving Mina more than enough time to attack it.

Mina slashed at the Scorpians claws, keeping them from grabbing her. She charged forward some and kept attacking. Even with the supporting fire the claws kept her from getting closer but they were able to keep the monster from getting any where. Mina jumped back some. "We're getting no where fast." She said, splitting her sword into and going in again. "Aim for the joint, we need to stun the claws."

"I'm on it!" Farley dashed forward and began to spin around, creating a small whirlwind around himself. It lifted the scorpion into the air, just enough to center it off balance. Together, the brothers fired at a weakpoint in the joint of one of the claws. It shrieked in pain, holding it's claw in the other. "That should buy you enough time, go for it Mina!" Cheered Eric.

"Right" Mina called, dashing forward to attack. The scorpion saw her coming at it and let go of it's claw to swing at her. It was to late, Mina leaned back and ducked under the claw, sparks flew as the rock surface of the claw scratched her armor plated belly. Mina stood back up and after some stumbling regained her balance and continued forward. The beast went for a second swing but it couldn't reach her from where she was. Mina jumped into the air and fused her swords before driving it into the head of the scorpion with a ground shaking force. The rock shell of its back split open and began to crumble. The cracks soon flowed up the tail and too the stinger, the rocks breaking and falling to revel the crystal core.

"Fire the cannon!" At Derrick's command, their cannon happy friend fired at the core. The Scorpion's core shattered completely into miniature crystals. However, the Scorpion kept on going! It charged at Mina, but crumbled into dust and gravel before it could even touch her. "I expected it to blow up like the others. Talk about anticlimactic." Shrugged Eric, he was relieved though. They had enough close calls with those in the past.

Mina smiled as the core was destroyed but got ready to fight when the scorpion charged at her. She lifted her sword up ready to strike but ended up getting a fine coating of dust and burred to her waist in gravel. She coughed some and looked up to the group. "I'll take crumbling over explosions any day." She called out to them, grunting some as she tried to pull her self out of the gravel. "Can some one help." She coughed again.

Derrick whistled and looked to Farley for the solution. The swordsman twirled his blades around, infusing them with his Unin wind magic to blow away the gravel from around Mina to free her. "That's the fastest we've ever killed one! You're awesome Mina!" Said Farley after he was done helping her. One would say he was competing with Ecalena for being her #1 fan.

Mina covered her face as the wind blew away the gravel. "Thanks." she said smiling, wiping some of the dust off her belly. She giggled some as Ferley called her awesome. "aw thank you, you guys weren't bad either, heck I'd have most likely lost if you guys hadn't been here to help." She smiled and gave Farley a hug since he was the closest at the moment.

Farley blushed immediately upon being hugged by Mina. She gave wonderful hugs, he wondered how it would had felt minus the armor. He was so powerless, he couldn't move his arms to hug her back! "Try not to break Farley, would you? I kinda knew that guy since we were in diapers." Teased Eric, the whole group was laughing at Farley at this point, knowing his women troubles.

Mina laughed some. "I'll try not to." she said letting him go and resting her hands on her belly. "so Eric, shall we?" She asked, looking up to the earth crystals that were slowly floating down to the ground.

Farley just stood there, shaking silently. Derrick only sighed, wondering how their friend was ever going to have a woman take him seriously. It was no surprise the guy was still a virgin, not that it was a bad thing but for all the wrong reasons. Eric turned to Mina and shrugged. "We'll have to wait for the next one, once we hear it, we'll see it. Kinda like thunder and lightning, but in reverses." Answered the gunner. Had to be the worst thing about the wyvern, it was practically invisible otherwise, luckily it was docile until it actually went into battle mode of sorts, where it was as visible as any other Destroyer.

"oh ok, well I'll keep an eye out." Mina said, there was a small tink as one of the crystals bumped off her shoulder. She giggled some. "it's raining." She said, the crystals settling just above the ground and moving slowly away. Mina watched them and tilted her head some. "well that's odd." She said starting to follow them. "I'd say it's the flow of the earth like with the wind crystals but, I don't think rock can flow."
