@Kits - Yea it looks/sounds pretty awesome. If I ever get back into gaming/aka have free time on a regular basis (rather than in random spurts), and get a better system for games, TF2 and L4D are definitely the top of what I want to look into atm.

Yea I think it fits the request just fine, I guess I just mainly feel that the request is too much of a fail. I mean someone had the chance to have something really cool done, and they just threw off a poorly executed yaoi fantasy.

I finally went over to the pool to swim for the first time on Wed. It was nice and I like the facility, so I'm looking forward to doing that more often. And I do feel great whenever I'm in the water.

I know I'm actually kinda proud of that concept, though I won't pretend that nobody has ever thought of that before. razz

Yea, hope he goes back to it. The confusing thing now is figuring out where he is, took me awhile to notice he was back on Youtube last time and I kept checking the site for updates.

@Morgey - I'm going to be working on The Bible and the 17th century creation epic, in terms of the annotated text, and the role of marginalia. Primarily I want to focus on a 1611 translation of the french Du Bartas by Josauh Sylvester that we house in our Cadbury Research collection here at UoB. He translated and annotated the epic, and so there are multiple layers of material meaning just within that, being a translated and an annotated text. I will probably be dipping into Milton's Paradise Lost, which while I love it, it intimidates me like no piece of literature has ever intimidated me before. I also will be looking at various versions of The Bible. The Geneva, Tyndale translations, and of course King James, which is interesting in itself because it shows a shift in marginalia, from interpretive to just variant meanings. One of the secondary sources I've been reading kind of mentions a shift from ruling by confidence to rule by fear, which I think is an intriguing idea.

Anyhow sorry if that was all boring, but yea, I'm nervous but also excited. And sort of switching advisers now which is good and bad. When my focus was more material Tom seemed the best choice, but now that I've gotten a literary focus, a literary focus beyond what I expected, he's suggesting that I work with Hugh, though he'll probably help me out as well. Hugh does a lot of work with the bible as literature, and can probably be a better guide for me with the primary, though I'll still probably keep up with Tom, he can definitely keep me advised on the secondary and material aspects of the topic. The topic is ambitious, so the hardest part will probably be keeping it confined to an MA topic. I do plan to pursue this with PhD I think though, I think I've always been leaning towards it. I've just always been afraid. The epic, the Bible, some of the most intimidating pieces of literature (the Bible two-fold in that there is the whole non-literature aspect, arguably the primary aspect, to the text), but always the two things that have most attracted me, probably since I was 14. 10 years later, I'm finally following up on relating this old love to my career. It's kind of scary realizing I can do that, and fearing that I might fail.

Haha, I'm back and forth on whose popular as well, but I'm sure we'll get it casted eventually. Or screw stars, let's get some fresh blood out there!

Has LK updated since getting banned? Maybe he hasn't noticed yet. *palm forehead*. I guess the fact that I don't have an LJ and thus don't follow anyone else's (except when my friend tells me to check out hers) doesn't help me keep up with LK's movements huh? xd

Haha, no apologies necessary. I mean it's convenient having it on Youtube, but his own site was easy enough to use as well. And it was just 100% LK. Anyhow guess we'll have to figure out where he goes, then decide what to do. But yea his videos get re-uploaded all the time. And there is no stopping him, so I don't see what the point is. I mean he's probably doing more to keep fans interested in the series than any advertising campaign they could possibly ever pull off.

He really should make a video bashing Youtube. wink

Yea I hate that you have to link to a Google account now, wtc is that about? Did Google buy Youtube and nobody told me about it? I never had a Google account so I had to make one to keep my Youtube account, it was annoying. And not something I'll ever use in it's own right. I guess that gives Youtube more control over people though. They can't just keep creating a new username when they get banned.

Haha, well unless he was going to draw himself it'd be pretty hard to quite make THAT fantasy, as it's not at all canon. But yea there were some good elements, just in the end I just wasn't all that thrilled. And that's on Shadowwolf not on LK of course. I'm disappointed with Shaddowwolf.

Yea, even if that weren't true it's of no benefit to them to ignore the English speaking audience, it's their interest that makes companies like 4Kids want to buy (aka give money to Japanese companies) the rights and dub the show in the first place. The fact that the Japanese also like LK just further pushes that point.

@JK: They can just create more Google accounts, then more usernames though.

@Morgey: My alternate account was silly; it was just something interesting I wanted to try. XD I think I was most proud of my name/icon combination for it: PitcherofChange. Then my icon was an actual pitcher filled witch coins, but it's Pitcher of Change because I would change pitches. Hurhur pun.

Yea, I have two bank accounts because I'm between two countries right now. razz

But yea I could maybe see limiting the number of accounts you link to one email (like aim, I think I had over 10 screen names though before it told me I had too many...too bad I can't remember the passwords to go delete the majority of those). But it really does not need to be one-to-one.

Yea I only remember that as well, which is why I at first found the video and thought it was recent, until the line about Christmas popped up, then I looked at the date.

I actually I thought this video was rather well done as well. I mean I love LK, and he makes great parodies/does great voice-overs, but yea he's probably not the best musician/song-writer out there.

Yea, I mean I like most of the music videos, but there are definitely people out there who could probably have done each of them better. I mean I personally probably like Leather Pants better, but that's probably because as a song I like Bad Romance more than Poker Face. Poker Face is too repetitive, and likewise the corresponding TAS video is too repetitive. And as it's not exactly "musically" satisfying (great parody voice, not great singing voice) the repetition just gets a little grating, particularly at the end.

Oh yea I think Marik's voice is WAY worse as well, so that is one of the things that's off putting about it, although it does have snatches of Bakura's voice, which is better, hehe. I guess I just try to ignore that, plus some other people have put up stuff of themselves singing the song, and while their videos usually aren't better, the voices sometimes are. xd I just think in general Leather Pants is a funnier plot theme, so as grating as it is, it amuses me more, so it doesn't become trite quite as quickly.

Haha, Bakura saying sexy things is probably half of why I love it. That and Malik mocking the French, because seriously, random (heh, plants). Plot's aren't necessarily what I like in music videos either, but then it usually comes down to the mash up if that's not there. And Brooklyn Rage just uses the same shots over and over again. I think the other problem is that Seto's line IS my favorite part of the entire video. So thus everything kinda just climaxes away from it for me. I think I probably would have liked the video infinitely more if it went back to exasperated Kaiba at the end. Leather Pants definitely is a bunch of smaller jokes, which carries it for me. Whereas Brooklyn Rage is one joke, which wasn't epic enough to totally support it. I mean I like the song (and I think that's what's more I have no inclination to watch that video again - save for the beginning - because the entire thing is mainly just a song with recycled shots), but it's definitely not my favorite video.
