A smile curved her lips up as Dereck opened the door. As she moved into the home, her eyes looked his form up and down.
"I'm sorry I can't stay long, but I'll take anytime I can to see you. You look great, by the way."She told him before he kissed her, to which she greatly returned. Oh how she had missed his arms around her, his scent, his warmth, and well of course his mouth on hers. When he pulled back and explained his work, she shrugged her shoulders, "I understand you have to work Dereck. You don't have to make it up. But you cooked dinner?"

Lyn would be slightly surprised if Dereck really had cooked. That would be a large surprise for a guy like him. When he lead her to the back porch, her eyes widened at all the candles and the small set table. It was beautiful.
"Dereck this is ... wonderful. You didn't have to go through all this trouble, really."

Maralyn continued to let Dereck lead her to the table and to a seat. A light laugh left her lips at seeing the Chinese on the plates. She waved his worries,
"No this is perfect. Thank -you."Lyn returned his wide smile across the table.

His blonde head nodded, and his other arm circled around the burnette's form, bringin her close against him. Jasper's lips genlty pressed against her forehead. "Of course I care." She was right that many were suffering at this time, because of all that had happened. But weren't they suppose to do it together? Not just one person man up for it all. But if she was going so far as suicide, then he agreed that she needed to get in control somehow.

As they got their shoes, he frowned at her,
"I didn't know you bowl regularly." Was it something that she had picked up in her time out of Shadow Creek. All of a sudden he felt like he didn't really know Cadie all that well. Which was certainly an unnerving thought. Since he had felt he knew her so well. As she went off in search of a ball, he sat down to change his shoes next to Killian. He was laughing at some joke the other man had made when Cadence returned he turned to her, his blue eyes alight with laughter, "Ready, Princess? You are first up."

Orion turned toward Grace's voice. He smiled at her and suddenly he felt extremely nervous. He didn't understand why since they had discussed this already, but he was suddenly really nervous. What if she had changed her mind?

He held the bouquet out to her. He took a deep calming breath. Even if she had changed her mind, everything between them was okay. They were still doing everything they had always done, just in a new place.
"This is my awkward marriage proposal. Grace, I love you and I wasn't even sure I believed in love. You have changed my mind on that. I can't imagine a life without you, and hope I never have too. So will you marry me?" His heart was pounding as he waited for his blonde beauty's answer. Grace really was a huge part of his life now. It was strange that in so little time she had become so important to him.

Cadence nodded her head happily. "I love bowling! I am not very good but I still really enjoy it. I have a blue and purple glittery ball. It is suppose to look like a galaxy." She left out the fact that Tessa called it Cadence's white trash hobby. She complained and would bowl but always accompanied her and Tommy when they went.
"Back home Thursday was all you can bowl night. Each game was only a quarter, so we bowled until we were sore." She chuckled at the memory.

When she returned and Jasper informed her she was up first, she nodded and immediately stepped up.
"It's been a couple of months now. So my first game will probably be trash!" She was plesantly surprised when she got a spare.
"Wooo!" She high fived Killian and then Jasper.
"Ah s**t! This little girl is going to show us up Jasp!"
"Hey now! Friendly game!" Cadence said and Killian laughed.
"In case you don't know what that means Jasper, that is how a female shows mercy." Cadence playfully shoved Killian. He turned to Jasper.
"Your up Jasp!" Cadence clapped.
"C'mon Jasp!" She had a seat so she could watch.

Dereck smiled, nodding his head at Lyn. "I understand, you have some pups to look after. But I am glad that you took the time to even show up." When she asked him about cooking dinner, he merely winked at her, waiting to see her reaction when she got outside. After getting sat down, he began to eat, but he never took his eyes off of her. "I know it's probably none of my business, but how is your cousin doing?" Dereck wasn't a completely heartless person. He still understood what it felt like to lose someone you love, and someone you are close to.

Plus, since there was still a truce going on between the two charters, he figured that it wouldn't hurt to ask. Dereck stood up, and held his hand as he moved inside and brought her out a soda and himself a beer. Since she said she needed to watch puppies tonight, he figured she would want to do it with a clear head. "How are you feeling? I mean, are you still in pain? He was finding it hard to say what he meant, but he wanted to know if she was okay. Mentally and physically.

Grace let her eyes fall on Orion, and a slow smile grow on her face seeing how nervous he was. Usually, he was a very confident man, and seeing him kind of nervous was cute. Her eyes dropped to the bouquet in his hand, and she reached out and took it into her own, bringing the flowers to her nose to smell them. As he spoke, her eyes looked down at the ribbon that had tied the bouquet together, and upon seeing the ring she laughed softly. She wasn't laughing because she thought it was funny, just because she was, well, happy. She moved past Orion, and placed the bouquet on the bed while she removed the ring from the ribbon, holding it in her fingers to look at it. It was absolutely beautiful, then again, she would have loved anything he chose for her.

Grace slipped it onto her ring finger and she hurried over to Orion, jumping to wrap her arms and legs around him. She pressed her forehead against his and smiled at him. "Of course I will marry you." She kissed him gently, and tightened her arms around his neck. She was absolutely in love with this man, and she would not have it any other way.

Grace's unexpected excitement nearly knocked Orion down. He had not expected her to launch herself at him. He started to laugh after he caught her and stabilized himself. He groped her butt and quickly kissed her so she couldn't protest.

He pulled his lips away from hers and began to rain little kisses about her face. While he did so he walked her over to the bed and carefully set her down. He was pleased with her answer. He was sure her brother wouldn't be, but what did he care? He didn't really like that guy much anyway.
"Grace, no girly colors for the wedding. I'm serious. I am not wearing pink, purple or yellow."

"Of course I'd come by. Anytime with you is special, Dereck. And the pups at thi point just need to be feed about every 2 hours since they are newborns and we lost the mom."She told him simply. There was truly hardly another way to explain the situation of the pups in her apartment. And since she hadn't thought he'd be free tonight, she had offered to stay. However with him free, she jumped at the opportunity to see him.

Lyn began to eat the food on her plate. As far as Chinese went, he certainly must have gone to one of the better places to get this. It was one of those take-out food that you were never really sure of the quality until it was too late. As he asked about her cousin, her eyes looked back up to meet his. He was so thoughtful to be thinking of her cousin. Surely he had other things on his mind. She swallowed what was in her mouth before replying,
"Lincoln... I think he's ok. At least as much as he's going to be right now. He came out of his room tonight at least."That had been a good sign, since most at the Angels seemed to not have seen him out since the funeral it seemed. But yet his drinking limits still disturbed her. But Lyn knew he need to grieve in someway.

When Dereck returned, she took the soda from him with a smile and soft thank-you. And then he was asking how she was. Lyn tilted her head, looking a little puzzled by his question. Had she given a painful expression and not realized it?
"I'm fine. Everything is getting better some each day."Which was true. The lash lines from the whip across her back and thighs were all healing nicely, as were the welt from the cattle prod. Dylan's name still looked fresh however, and the brand marks on her front were still red and raised. But her most often complaint was her burned foot, and that was only if she stubbed it into something, wore too tight of shoes, or was on her feet for an extended time. Her wrist with the hard cast she barely felt. Besides for a few ties when she moved her fingers certain ways or bumped it against something.

However she could shake the feeling that if she hadn't returned to Shadow Creek, none of this would have happened. Or at least possibly not the the degree because Dylan wouldn't have been here. All those deaths still hung about. Lyn was especially wary around the Angels, since she had caused Isabelle's death. Yet the only one there that seemed to know yet was Cadence .Dereck had been the one to see Lyn at her low point after it all. He had been the one to remind her she had to pick herself up and keep trucking forward.
"How are you doing and all you men?" She knew he had been working long days, and so it was quite possible his men were too. They had lost two Reapers that night too. So responsibilities had to be rearranged she was sure."I saw Grace earlier this evening. She looked good. Just a little tired like her brother."

A large grin spread across his face at hearing Cadence's joy. He couldn't help but be happy at her delight. Her happiness was like an infection afflicting his own. "Relax Cadence. It's not like we made any bets on this game yet. It's all fun."He told her when she warned them this first game may be no good. He may not be 300's type bowler, but Jasper was always up for a little friendly competition.

When she came back from bowling her first frame, he gave her the high five she seeked. Shaking his head Jasper replied to Killian, "I don't know about you Kill, but I'm no bowler. I'll take some mercy." Jasper then stood and gathered the ball he had chosen. He hadn't been picky, just something that his fingers wouldn't get stuck in. By the end of his first frame he knocked down 9 of the pins, having created a split with his first ball, and only hitting one of them with his second.
"Not too bad for a beginner, eh?"He told the two as he took his seat, and looked to Killian for the man to take his turn next.

Killian shook his head. "I brought the wrong two to bowl with me. I need someone who makes me look good! I am trying to impress the lady at the counter." Cadence glanced back and then back at Killian with a small smile on her face.
"Want me to go gather some intel?" Cadence offered and he quickly shook his head.
"You go get the pitcher of beer. I don't need you falling out laughing at me." Cadence popped up and disappeared, off to go get their pitcher.

She returned a few minutes later and it was her turn again. She set the pitcher down.
"Her name is Lauren, I wasn't sure it it was her but it is. She was in my Girl Scouts troop when I was little. I know nothing else about her. She is pretty though." Killian gave Cadie a look and she smiled over at him.
"My turn!" She sang and went up to take her turn. She didn't do as well this time but she was okay with that. She bowled for fun.

Killian went and placed and order for a pizza, and returned in time to take his turn after Jasper. The conversation around the trio was light and fun. Very enjoyable in Cadie's opinion. Cadie passed on the pizza, not really hungry for once. By the time the second game rolled around he was off catching Lauren up. Leaving Cadie and Jasper to split his turn, and keep each other company.
"So much for bowling..." She said as she glanced at Killian then giggled.

Grace laughed against his kisses, and once he sat her on the bed, she looked up into his eyes, smiling. "Yeah, yeah. Okay. We have plenty of time to talk about the wedding." She cupped his face, pulling him forward into a kiss, that was soft and slow. She was happier than she had been in a long time. Here she was, engaged to the man of her dreams and the soon to be father of her child. She hummed lightly against his lips, and ran her hands through his hair. "I love you, so much." She murmured against his lips.

After working such a long day, this was the best thing to come home to. "I wish I wasn't at work so much.." She added quickly, letting her hands drop from his face to his chest. "I have the day off tomorrow, though." She said, letting her legs hook behind his.

At Killian's mention of the woman behind the counter, Jasper turned to look. He was curious as to who his brother was talking about, not really having paid attention when they came in. She was a pretty girl.

His blue eyes watched as Cadence and Killian took their turns, then took his in turn as the game continued. He had poured himself a cup of the beer pitcher, as well as ate some of the pizza when it came around. Jasp was slightly worried that Cadence wasn't eating. "Cadie, you not hungry? Doing ok?" He asked in concern.

As the game moved into the second, the trio had seemed to lose a player. At Cadence's notion, Jasper looked back over his shoulder at Killian and Lauren with a shrug."We can certainly still bowl, even take Killian off the list. Unless you're done and want to leave? Killian will be fine. He deserves some down time to relax."The clubhouse had been a little crazy the last few days. Everyone trying to get things done while not stepping on anyone's toes with all the grief. That in itself could be exhausting.

Cadence nodded her head. She didn't want to bring up that she had not really been hungry since the incident, or that her meds further suppressed her appetite. It was a little embarrassing talking about the meds situation.
"Nah. I am fine with us splitting his turn, or taking him off. Doesn't bother me either way. I am not really interested in returning to the club house to be honest. I want to go home to my own bed." She went up and took her turn. Once it was done she went and sat down.
"Not sure when I will be able to go home though. Black is babysitting me for some reason." Cadie shrugged.
"It won't last, he is much too busy chasing tail to keep babysitting me. So I will be home, back in my own bed by the end of the week. That I am willing to put money on." She grinned at Jasper.

Dereck had been starving, so he had finished his food rather quickly, and just leaned back into his chair, letting his blue eyes watch Lyn as she spoke. He was happy to hear that her cousin was doing well, and even more happy to hear that she was getting better, too. Dereck was sure that those men had done a good deal of mental trauma, as well as physical trauma. "Well, I'm glad to hear that. Just know I am only a call away, even if I have been busy." His head nodded, and he reached down, taking a drink from his soda before rolling his eyes at her comment. He was happy to hear that Grace looked good, because it had been a while since he had even gone to visit her, or even drop her a text or anything. "Yeah, I'm not tired. Sleep is for the weak." He winked in her direction, and stood from the table, grabbing his plate.

"Talk about the wedding? What is there to talk about? I want beer and food, and not girl colors. The rest is whatever you want." Orion eased himself onto the bed. Pulling himself a bit away from Grace. He tried to take his shirt off.
"I didn't want to look like some redneck proposing shirtless, barefoot and with a beer in one hand." He stretched out.
"Yeah, I agree you work too much. In a cold smelly hospital where they stab people with needles all day." He draped an arm about her.
"C'mere."
