Captin_Exar Any news on this so called "Secret character" Coming in fall 2005? State thy source. Most likely the General Character from Dawn of War - Winter Assault if all the rumours are correct.

How do you seasoned Guard players like to use your Stormtroopers? For about a year now I've been toying with the idea of a Daemonhunters army, and I want it to be man-based rather than marine-based if that's possible. Turns out the only Troops choice outside of gray knights is Stormtroopers, which I was already experimenting with building from Cadian models for fun anyways. The major difference between normal Stormtroopers and Daemonhunters is the added option of riding in a Rhino and a few new selections for Wargear. So how would you guys use them if you had three squads but they were the majority of your troops on the field? For tactics purposes, please assume also on the field are an Eversor Assassin, a Dreadnaught, and the Inquisitor Lord HQ with full peon accompaniment.

Inquisitorial Storm troopers are pretty restricted in their uses. They can hold the line, have access to basic assault weapons and two transport options. Their veteran can take items from the wargear section, such as Artificer Armour, lightning claws etc. But is that all really worth it? Also, storm trooper squads have no access to heavy weapons and unlike their Imperial Guard brethren, cannot deep-strike or infiltrate.
They may be more useful in a support role, where the dreadnought, Inquisitor Lord and Eversor perform the meat of the action. Orbital Strikes may be useful.
