Oh, it would be like that, would it?
"You have to come to me," he said aloud. "We will have to see it together. You will have to trust me."

The ghost didn't, though. Another word appeared next to the first two. Murder, it read. Then: Come.

Murder. Well then.
"The child?" Dari asked, "Do you think that it's the father?"
Toby was a little lost with that line of reasoning, but who knew, right? He remembered there had been a baby killed, but that was about all he remembered. They hadn't even been sure it was a ghost and there had been a hell of a lot of history to go through.
"Come? Where?" Michael asked. He could probably find the murder-spot by intuition, but that wasn't necessarily where the entity wanted him to go.

The ghost appeared to Michael then, and moved towards the stairs. It seemed to indicate that he should follow it. It led him upstairs and into a small bedroom.

Michael followed the ghost, conserving energy in remaining invisible to humanity and even then only existing from about the thighs up.

The ghost waited in the room. "Baby," it said, looking towards the window. "Gone. Gone. Taken! GONE!"

"Your baby was taken?" Michael asked. Already he knew this entity was batshit insane, but yelling back at it wasn't going to help anything. They had already decided that the baby was gone, for example.

"Taken," the ghost confirmed. "Murdered." The ghost looked out the window. "Gone." It directed its attention to Michael then. "Where?"

Michael's presumption was that this man had died and continued into the unlife trying to protect his baby.
"When people die, they go into the light. That is where your baby is."

"Baby?" The ghost seemed to understand. The light was where his baby was? "Light," it echoed. "Want it! Baby?"

"You have to let me open it, or else you have to focus hard on seeing your baby again." And he had a feeling that this entity couldn't focus all that well.

""Open!" OPEN! OPEEEEEN!" The ghost was insistent, it's voice getting louder as it spoke. "OPEN!"

Michael took a few steps toward the ghost, closed his eyes, and focused. Opening up someone else's light was hard. If they had lost their minds it would tend to open at will, as if the loss of a person wasn't worth the trouble of holding them back, but when they truly wanted to go it was much easier.

"OPEN!" The ghost insisted.
But then it was, and the ghost hesitated. He took form; a young man with tousled brown hair. "There he is," he muttered. A nurse looking person was holding him. He walked towards the light.

"I told you. Good luck," Michael said, offering the man a smile. They didn't always pay attention when they were crossing over, but he did. It was sometimes the only chance he got to see them as human.
Funny, his murderous wife didn't seem to be there.
