Tao continued the ascent with Meren following closely behind. No doubt it was getting hotter the closer they got to the summit. He wiped his brow of sweat with a shaky hand.

As she was trying to get away from the group of dancing Baltoy, she ended up tripping over a cord (really where had that even come from or plugged into?). It triggered a bad reaction from the pokemon and they all turned to glare at her. Just....great... Well only one thing to do. There would be no possible way to run from the pokemon so she tossed a pokemon out in the air. "Li, I need your help."
The Shieldon emerged in a flash of light, turning to glance around and actually staring at the girl oddly. Who was Li? Is that what she had ended up naming him? Well it might be a good name. It was nice and simple. The Shieldon then looked at the group of Baltoy and you could almost see the hearts form in his eyes. So many admirers! This was perfect! What a show!
Tao paused a bit to take a small rest. Today, he got more excercise than he did in his life. The most before that was a few laps around a beaten down house, and there he was climbing a volcano. After recuperating, Tao continued going up the sloped terrain.

Blissfully unaware, Peyton kept up his near jog. Whether or not it hit him was all up to how good the Pokemon's aim was.

As the boy continued on, he would see a group of 4 Darumaka gathered in a line on the road. They were sitting in front of some large circle shaped rocks. There was an empty rock besides the fourth making five rocks. It was possible the kid or his pokemon could attempt to join the game.... to try and win a prize.... or they could always try to walk the long way around and continue onward~
The Wooper let loose a high pitched laugh, practically rolling on the ground in tears. That was great! Poor Peyton had been hit so hard with the water, he had been knocked backwards into a nearby tree!
[+1 Trainer Injury]
The Wooper continued to giggle but quickly leapt into the water of the bog to vanish. It would seem that Peyton was free to continue on his way!

(19-12)+(7-12) = 2 / 2 = 1 DMG to Despair! Despair is at 17 HP!
The Pidgey's attack connected, but at what cost? He fluttered back, somewhat dazed. That... that wasn't a tree he'd hit. That was a liar. He hissed through his beak, flapping in an agitated manner. Well, in for a penny, in for a pound! He turned his tail and swooped backwards, trying to keep out of the Sudowoodo's way for whatever attack would be coming... or what wouldn't have been coming.
"H-hey!" Peyton barked, looking around for whatever jerk did that to him. Too little too late it would seem. Whoever did that had gone and left him alone. Fine, he would just leave then. He was tempted to have Tekken sniff for clues, but he couldn't afford to waste time. The longer he was here the longer he was in danger. So he swallowed his pride and continued onward, deeper into the island.

Tsuki the Fated Wind
This time as Peyton continued forward, he would see a Ducklett swimming with three baby ducklings following behind her. It would seem that the group were out on a family outing~ He was free to pass by, nothing would stop him here--unless he decided to cause a scene...
When Tao saw the line of darumaka sitting along their path, he sighed quietly. He thought it best to keep away from the fire pokemon. If anything went wrong, they would be seriously outnumbered, no matter how happy or friendly they seem, he thought it best to be wary. A repeat of swellow air drops would not be good at all... He made his way circling around them at a far distance and continued on upward.

Well, that was a sight for sore eyes. Peyton decided to not attack the mother, despite the curiosity if one of the ducklings had assaulted him nagging at him, knowing very well what a mother's wrath could be like. He made haste, leaving them to do as they pleased.
The hit would connect as Despair looked at the retreating back of the bird with distaste. Such a weak attack, it wasn't even worth the trouble of being called out to deal with.
"Rock Throw."
The imitation plant Pokemon would smirk.
(My disguise was perfect, and now, you wasted your one and only chance to deal with me. Good bye, Birdie)
She almost sang the words as she reached into the earth and pulled out ..well not the boulders of her own home terrain, but it was a good enough size rock as she hurls it at the bird's back.
If it hit, it would surely bring him back to earth.
(19-3)+(12-6) = 22 x 2 = 44 DMG! Pidgey is at -30 HP!
The was a loud crack! as the Pidgey's spine in half... as did a good portion of his body. In the very least, it was such a quick death as to be painless, but it was unlikely that Hiro or Despair cared much. The Pidgey lay there, limp and lifeless-- another victory for the world's strongest trainer and his wayward trickster.
Though the boy wasn't done ...as he saw that the rock had done it's job, and brought it not only to earth but to death. He had warned the Pidgey as he walks over to it's dead body and would unsnap the necklace around his neck.
The long claws would serve another purpose as he started to saw away at the limbs that stuck out beyond the rock. It wasn't much meat, but he had learned from a certain Aerodactyl attack. He would be prepared the next time as he took a leg and a wing from the body, and would then find a large leaf to wrap the body in as the Sudowoodo watches in both wonder and disgust.
(Would you have done that to me?)
She asks, but Hiro doesn't understand to answer as he start to store the meat away inside of his bag.
"My fault."
He was taking her words for criticism.
"You did really well, Despair. Return."
He would call her back then as he picked up his bag, clean off his necklace before putting it back on, and continued forward. He was only half way through this forest, and he still had further to go.
