In the picture thread Astri Yeah, it's called a hysterectomy. And we're off-topic again... sweatdrop What is? A hysterectomy is the removal of one's uterus, which I don't remember anyone mentioning. Breast removal and tube-tying, which were mentioned, are mastectomy and tubal ligation, respectively.

Vague So, hopefully the people he deals with will be more honest and forthcoming than you? stare I wouldn't say hopefully. If you like the exotic dish, do you really need to know it's made of bat s**t? In most cases, it's a favor we do. Vague Besides, last I heard you were a FtM trans, and since you have a p***s, and want a p***s, it's less likely to drive people away, whether they understand it or not. That tends to be true. Then again, I only tell those people who are likely to understand. If I believe they wouldn't or couldn't, I don't bother. Vague I agree about it not being necessary, but my father seems to think I need a boyfriend and it's getting quite irritating. He hasn't tried to set me up, but if he knew any gay boys my age in the city I'm sure he would. gonk Thank God my mother still doesn't seem to understand that I have relationships with men. She likes to ignore it, so she doesn't set me up. It's a relief. Vague I thought you said he was cute but not interesting? Or interested? Same difference... to quote Harvey Danger "if you're bored then you're boring", I definitely apply this to guys. He's interesting, but moderately interested. Or very interested, but very busy. We'll see if anything comes out of this weekend. I like him, so I hope he gets less busy soon. I'm pretty relaxed about it, though.

I had one of those over the winter... but difficult turned into ridiculous and we drifted apart. He says hi sometimes and... you know those people who flirt and want to say something, but for whatever reason they won't??? *sigh* I know he genuinely has a lot on his plate( probably too much, his grades were slipping), but sometimes I wonder if he'd be quite so busy - were I a girl.

I'm sure there is a way, and it can be done, to stop periods and such, but my mom is all liek "IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!" Since you have to go through, like, weeks of psch evaluations and counseling before getting even your tubes tied.

If you want to be male, it rather amkes sense to remove the uterus, doesn't it?

That's kinda my point xp I see what I was saying now. I didn't make it clear that I was talking about two different sorts of people. If you date a man, you may want to know that he wasn't born that way before you get together. If you date a man, and he was born that way, but he doesn't feel that way, then it may not be important whether or not he tells you. I suppose it's more akin to, if you're likely to find out, then it should probably come out early. If you're not, then it's not a big deal, in my opinion. I hope that makes more sense. I don't want to excuse myself if I'm wrong. I certainly wouldn't let someone else do it. sweatdrop

My mind was on how much PMS sucked at that point. And to get rid of that problem, you need to get rid of the uterus. Bad organ! BAD!

It has its purpose (albeit an icky one). And proceedure can be done if there are extreme problems in menstration, but I don't think you can just go in and have it done cause you'd rather do without monthly bleeding. sweatdrop

Vague And what if you're dating a bi-or pansexual person who plans to swap later? I would say, so long as there is no pretense that the relationship will last, then it's okay not to say. If the relationship is expected to be forever, then the person should be upfront. This is so vacuous. I would be hard-pressed to argue why, since dishonesty is difficult to defend. Not impossible, but I'd find myself in a bit of trouble.
