hehe... ya know... when your friend was defending hynosis.. that sounded almost just like your own argument.. why not use her defense of hypnosis as anology/metaphor for exactly how the Lord is... and maybe instead of just using the word God with her.. try using Jesus Christ. Let me tell you something... devils believe there is a God and tremble.. but, when you say his name, you bring with you a different kind of power.. because even the wickedness of this world cannot stand up to his name. He alone has gained victory over the grave.

And, the problem with the arguments people put up like your friend did; they want proof. But, men believe with their hearts, not their minds. Why is it that when you fall in love with someone, that nothing makes sense? People who are blind in love; they can't see another's faults... It's not about wanting to believe it or not or needing proof. In their heart, they are already persuaded of a fact. That state of being persuaded of such a conviction is exactly what it is to have faith. It says that those who come to him must first believe that He is; and that he is a rewarded of them who diligently seek him.

However, I'd like to interject... that in this day. When we take the Gospel out to people.. there will be many who don't believe. This growing spirit of anti-christians in the world today. It just fulfills scripture. It said in the last days; there would be a great falling away. The hearts of many would wax cold. People have itching ears, hitching to themselves people who teach them what they want to hear. I think nowadays people purposefully refuse to believe even if they would. They don't want to believe because accepting the truth means accepting they have sin and would have to face consequences. So, they refuse faith in order to live any way they want without thought or care for our great Lord. But, you should tell people like that; even if they purposefully choose to disbelieve, their disbelief won't save them from hell. Just because they won't believe in Christ, heaven or hell, that doesn't mean they won't still go there.

Of course, but what did you mean by "we have different beliefs"? we being you and me? or we being you and her? If you mean me and you, I'm curious to see where you believe differently.

I think whats trying to be presented here is the fact that everyone still has a chance, no matter what we do. 3nodding

My church has been burned down for three years. (excuse my poor grammar skills crying ) We are forced to rent a church for our services, and it's a huge stress on my dad (I'm a PK). We can't rebuild as quickly as we would like to, because the neighbors around the church site are very much against us. The city is also against us. It's a strain on our money supply and congregation. Please, pray for us.

Hi everyone,

I've been having some issues lately with rebellion and dealing with life and people. I suppose it is an attitude problem, everyone sees me as being the one with the problem.
well, I am only worried that the issues might distract me from keeping a close relationship with God. already I feel less like going to church because of everyone that is there and I no longer want to go to prayer meeting for the same reasons. I could use a lot of prayer and maybe advice.
