Kai greatly enjoyed the attention, growling affectionately as he got belly rubs and even a hug. His back leg even kicked a bit as a particularly itchy spot was rubbed. Leon chuckled as his starter got the attention he wanted. "Heh, Sometimes i think he might believe he's actually an Arcanine." Leon commented. Kai seemed very much content to stay laying on the ground even after the rubbings and hugs stopped. He wiggled around a bit on his back, as if relieving an itch.
Isis seemed to get a little more bubbly as the topic moved away from legendaries, especially as Dumuzi had promised not to tell about their legendaries. Leon hadn't actually thought of that. Then again, if poachers did come for Delta... well, he was pretty sure the rayquaza was more than capable of warding them off. With that rage that she displayed... he didn't think he'd have to be too worried about her being stolen. He'd be more worried for the surroundings.
When Dumuzi responded to his comment on Niamh, Leon smiled. "I really do! She seems to have the spirit for it, too. She's a beauty contest winner in the making." he said with a light chuckle, having seen how the Sylveon posed for Isis, and seemed hopeful for more photos to be taken. The raven haired male rubbed the back of his neck with his left hand as the girl questioned him. "Well, no. I haven't been in those kinds of contests before. I've groomed quite a few contestants, before, though. I'll probably give it a try some time, though." he responded, then looked over to Isis. "Isis is pretty wild about coordinators, though. She's been to a lot of contests." He added with a grin.
Then, Dumuzi seemed to feel like she wasn't a good trainer. It seemed she meant it more literally, but Leon had to disagree with her, even though he didn't really know her well. "That doesn't mean you aren't a good trainer. You care so much that you don't like pitting them against each other in battles. That's perfectly fine to feel that way! And hey, you never know - maybe someday, you'll have such a strong bond with your pokemon that maybe you'll want to give battling another shot someday." Leon told her, Kai gave a grunt as if he was agreeing. Or possibly just wanting to be part of the conversation. "Coordinating is just as respectable as battling. I'm sure Isis would have more to say, since she's more experienced in that field then I am." he added.
When asked about how many badges he had, he felt rather outdone by Isis, however that was expected. "Well... I got sidetracked for a while. But I just got my third badge recently. I'm surprised i don't have it embedded in my forehead with the force that Whitney threw it at me... heh." Leon answered, then laughed a bit.
Leon, upon hearing Isis call it a date, couldn't help but feel a bit giddy. He knew it was a date, but hearing Isis call it that... it made it feel more like this date was consensual rather than just him believing that. Made it feel more real. The raven haired male blushed, the color reaching his ears, a somewhat goofy smile on his face. Kai snorted, as if laughing at his trainer, rolling over to lay on his belly instead. "O-oh! Uh, yeah! Heh, we don't mind, really! You're fine!" Leon stammered a bit as his attention was brought back to the two young trainers questioning if they were bothering them on their date. While he wouldn't mind getting back to the date with Isis, he also thought these two youths were rather kind and interesting.

✿ ❀ Isis chuckled as Dumuzi and Theo both seemed to feel bad for interrupting their date. "It's fiiiiine, really you two." Isis giggled, though most of her amusement came from the dorky grin that Leon got when he heard her call their get together a date, and eventually sputtered out his reassurances once he got over his giddiness. Atona had to roll his eyes and grin a bit at the scene and the cheesy feelings radiating off of both their auras.
The good feelings continued to roll in as Isis chuckled at Dumuzi's teasing with the modeling fee she might have to pay Nimah. Isis happily snapped a few more pictures, excited to see that the Sylveon was actually posing for her. "That is too cute oh my gosh!~" Isis had to agree with Leon that this Sylveon was practically born for contests, and when Dumuzi mentioned that she was going to try and enter Nimah in the beauty category, Isis wiggled in excitement with a big grin on her face, barely able to contain herself as she waited for Leon to finish explaining how he'd actually done some grooming for contest pokemon. When he finally handed the conversation over to Isis by mentioning her love of coordinators, Isis finally blurted everything on her mind. "You bet I have! Oh my gosh that's WONDERFUL! I work with Coordinator Coulture, I go to contests and take pictures for the magazine and write articles on my experiences and give tips, do interviews, the whole nine yards. If you wanna become a good coordinator, you have to read our magazine. it's like, the coordinator's bible. You absolutely MUST let me know how you do when you try a few contests of your own! Who knows? I might get a call to go take photos at some of your contests someday!~" She practically squealed and threw her arms around Dumuzi in a tight hug, but letting go quickly before it got uncomfortable. "Can I give you my number?" Isis asked excitedly, though she was already digging out her contact information from her Xtransciever. The Isis train had taken off, full steam ahead. She always got like this whenever she located a new potential rising star in the world of coordinating. Make the connections, be encouraging. Nimah was going to go far, she could just feel it!
Isis sobered a bit however as Dumuzi insisted she wasn't a good trainer, and Hinata cuddled a little closer to the girl with a light frown to try and comfort her. Leon made a good point, voicing what Isis had been thinking and insisting that it wasn't a bad thing to not want pokemon to be hurt. "Leon's right sweetie... It's not a bad thing to care about your pokemon." Isis gave a halfhearted laugh at the thought. "Honestly I don't think any half decent trainer likes to hurt pokemon, but battles... To me battles are a testament of trust and the bond I share with my pokemon. We grow strong together and face challenges that, without each other, we wouldn't even be able to dream of achieving. Yeah, I hate it when we lose, and my pokemon are hurt, but those setbacks kinda also make us determined to become stronger. It's a sort of mutual understanding that we have, we both want to be stronger. I'd never make a pokemon battle if they didn't want to. That's just cruel..." She explained.
However, with that being said, Isis' expression saddened considerably. "But sometimes.... You don't exactly have a choice... All my training and battling started off because I needed a way to protect myself, to have pokemon who could protect me. I thought I knew what that meant for the longest time, but...." Isis quieted, unable to really say much more as thoughts of Ebony started flooding her mind against her will. "E....Excuse me...." Hastily turning and making her way back to the table with the colorful slips of wishing paper, Isis knelt down to write down a new wish to hang on the tree. She needed to write it before she and Leon left this place. I wish I had Ebony back.... Isis stared at the wish after she wrote it. She'd been meaning to write that she wished Ebony was happy and in a better place, but somehow that was the wish that had been written. Was she really that selfish...?
A few tears plopped onto the strip of paper and she crumpled it up, casting it aside to write again, but again she wrote the same wish. I wish I had Ebony back.... She couldn't deny it, she wanted her pokemon back, she wanted the Halloween Ball to become a distant memory, she wanted her pokemon to have not died the way she did and yet.... I wish I had Ebony back.... She wrote it again on a new slip of paper, and again, and again. Her heart sank slowly. No matter how many times she wrote it, no matter how many little papers she hung on the tree with these words, Ebony wasn't going to come back, and yet Isis kept writing the words in spite of that.
Hinata watched Isis sadly, wanting to go comfort the girl but staying put in Dumuzi's arms. She still felt guilty for not allowing Isis to time travel and save Ebony back in Ilex, but Atona was insistent, and honestly Hinata agreed that it was a bad idea, but that didn't make her feel any less guilty. Atona moved to Hinata and gave her a reassuring pat on the head. Isis would recover eventually, but she would need longer than just a week or two. ✿ ❀

He'd done pretty well the last few times he'd tried to play, but this time he was only able to hook two rings on the targets, the last one clinking off awkwardly, not even a close call. Relieved that they hadn’t totally ruined their night, Dumuzi was more than happy to stick around some new people who obviously had a lot more experiences to tell them. Maybe they should head out soon and leave these people to their potential romantic night out, but maybe a few more minutes wouldn’t hurt anything, these two were just too cool and interesting to beat a hasty retreat. Heehee~ Well, at least he doesn’t think that he’s an angry Gyrados! I think I would prefer an Arcanine trapped in a Feralgatr’s body than anything overly vicious that just wanted to eat my face.” In some way… Dumuzi felt that she could empathise with Kai in a way, it was a silly thing, really. But all this talk of feeling like something that you weren’t kind of pulled on Dumuzi in a strange way. She wasn’t quite sure what it meant to her just yet –at least she hadn’t quite gotten out of the denial stage of her little road to self-discovery yet, but what Taz had said to her and the way that she was interacting with the world tonight… it was starting to bring her closer to the realization and inner awakening to who she really was and what she wanted to be. It was going to be scary, taking those first steps, but eventually she was going to have to do it, even if it was for her own sanity. Dumuzi knelt down again for a few moments and gave Kai a few more moments of her belly rubs before once again standing up. She looked over at Leon while Isis was distracted with taking pictures of the Modeling Sylveon.
Bringing her hand up to her chin as though she was in though, she place her other hand on her hip and analysed Leon for a minute before a bit of a teasing grin spread across her face. ”Hmm… I think that your third badge would have looked good implanted in your forehead, I mean, I could potentially complement to color of your eyes. This… Whitney person sounds a little scary though…” She was more than happy to tease her new friend a little bit, Leon seemed like an easy going guy, which Dumuzi appreciated. Having a bunch of uptight people around was never fun, though even she had to admit that sometimes having someone who thought things through perhaps a little too well had its advantages too.
”Only groomed? Well, I have to admit that you have much more experience that I do with being a Contestant then, I’ve only started to read the books on the Contest moves that a friend gave me.” It was curious to her that Leon only groomed some pokemon to enter into contests… then again, Taz did tell her that so far the only region that had the pokemon contests were Hoenn, though they were looking to expand soon into a couple of other regions, maybe that was why Leon didn’t put his pokemon out into a show just yet. It would make sense, if you were in a middle of a journey you certainly didn’t want to drop everything and then move off to another place entirely to please and audience for a few minutes before heading back that way again, especially if Contests were just a curiosity for you. Dumuzi was a bit of a different story, and it would make sense to head over to the place where the contests were, but someone who was collecting badges like Leon was another beast entirely. The complements of her choice in pokemon and how well Niamh was suited to Beauty contests made Dumuzi light up again. ”Yay! So far that’s two of my pokemon who seem to be prefect for the contest ring. I met a Coordinator named Taz who showed me the ropes, and Vivienne (my Marill) wanted to put on a show for him. Apparently we did something right as it seemed to impress him. I’m trying get two Fairy pokemon for each category, so far I think I have four of the five… though I’m not sure what the latest… conscript… category should be…?” If she remembered right, Tam Lin was an electric type and the electric types worked well within the Cool category. So maybe she could spruce up Tam Lin to be a Cool little pokemon. She had no idea the trouble she was going to face at the task of keeping his mind off the ladies long enough to do contest shows… Between Leon and the thoughts of future contests and the pokemon that she would use for them, she totally missed the building excitement that was Isis as the topic stirred a tempest within her. To say that Dumuzi was caught off guard by the explosion of excited enthrallment from Isis would be an understatement. Dumuzi’s eyes went wide with surprise for a few seconds as she snapped her head over towards the source of ecstatic glee. Her expression relaxed as did she when Isis explained what she did. ”Oh, so you work for a magazine? That must be interesting work that takes you to exciting places.” ‘Coordinator Coulture’ huh? She would have to keep her eye open for it, maybe when she went back to Santalune city she would be able to find some stuff along with the other items that she might need in order to start to properly groom and get her pokemon contest ready. ”I’ll try and find the title when I go back to Kalos and hit a city. It does sound like it would be a good place for me to start and get some tips.” Dumuzi gave a sheepish blush as Isis mentioned that she might be calling her in for an interview. ”That probably won’t be for a long time, but you never know~!” Dumuzi gave a bit of a squeak when she found herself on the receiving end of a hug, Dumuzi was always the type of person who would happily accept hugs and give them as freely as they were needed. Giggling, she perked up a little bit when she was asked for her number, Dumuzi had to fumble around in her bag for a few moments before she retrieved her own Xtransciever and exchanged contact information with Isis. This was so exciting for Dumuzi! This was the second person who could really help her out with this Contest thing!
She had never thought about battles that way before, she had always just seen it as something of a means to prove yourself a stronger trainer than the other person who you were fighting against. But a bond of trust between pokemon? She trusted her pokemon and she had a good solid bond with more than one of them. Maybe her problem was the attitude that she had entered the world of training with, after all, she had set off to show up her brother and ever victory or loss would result in her being either pushed back or measure up to someone who had more of a talent than she had with it. That sort of pressure would take the fun out of anything and make every battle more than a chore, maybe after she got a few contests under her belt and she cut her teeth in that world she would give battling another go, maybe if she gained some renown in the contest ring and found that passionate thing she could fall back on, she would be able to take the pressure and edge off battling and actually enjoy it. Though right now, she would be more than happy focusing on Contests for the time being. ”Maybe,” She replied, her mood lightening a little bit. ”I think… after I gain some renown in the Contest world I’ll give it another shot. But I want to find my passion first, then battling could be a secondary hobby for us if we want to travel down that path.” It was true that there was one person that she wanted to battle, the Fairy gym leader in Kalos, but she knew that Valerie would be someone she couldn’t hold a candle too, at least right now. Maybe she could meet her as a fellow Fairy type enthusiast sometime?
The mood suddenly shifted as the topic of battling pokemon continued on, Isis seemed to have some sort of bad experience with it and it bubbled to the surface as the conversation continued. She watched Isis and felt back, clearly she had said something wrong or brought up a touchy subject unknowingly.
Dumuzi walked up behind Isis slowly to offer whatever level of comfort that she could. Leon and Isis offered her some support when she was feeling down about her lack of abilities as a trainer and she felt as though it was time to return the favour. Dumuzi didn’t read what Isis was struggling to write down but she knelt down behind her new gal pal and placed a pair of gentle hands on her shoulders before resting her head against her back. ”I’m sorry, Isis.” She didn’t know what she was apologizing for, but clearly something that she said had triggered something and the girl looked like she needed some comforting on her end and Dumuzi was never one to leave someone who looked hurt without at least trying to comfort them. She didn’t know why Isis was upset all of a sudden, the talk of pokemon battles may have been a clue but Dumuzi didn’t have enough pieces to put together at this point. How did you comfort someone when you didn’t know what to do or say, let alone why the person needed comforting at all? Niamh also sensed a chance in the mood and came over to see what was going on, using her front paws she pushed herself up on Isis’ thighs so that she could get a little closer to the girl as if that would bring some level of understanding between the two.

As the three talked about contests and potential future battle experimentation, Theo sort of just stood there quietly. This was definitely only a conversation Dumuzi could fully enjoy. Contests and a magazine for contestants? Definitely his field of...to-be expertise. If anything, Theo del like he was the only one intruding.Hm?Theo knelt and pat Olivia, who seemed to be just as intrusive as he was. Well, it wasn't like he was going to leave. "Kai is perfect just the way he is. Isn't that right, buddy?" Leon grinned, giving the feraligatr a pat. It really was a good thing that his starter didn't end up having the demeanor of an angry gyarados. Kai gave a snort of clear amusement as Dumuzi teased his trainer about his third badge. The raven haired male grinned, taking it in excellent humor. "You think so? I found it rather... Plain." he replied, which caused Kai to grunt in what sounded like some kind of laugh. It took a moment for Leon to realize that Isis might be the only one to get that pun. "uh... Cause it's called the plain badge... heheheh..." he added a bit awkwardly. His dork was possibly shining through too much at that point.
Leon gave a nod to Dumuzi as the topic came to him having done some grooming for contestants. "Ah, well... It's kind of a side job of mine. I haven't gotten around to exploring more than just getting my gym badges yet, so you've pretty much got me beat on contest knowledge, there." he commented. He really didn't know too much about how contests worked, but he was pretty sure he'd go find out once he got his fifth badge. Or... maybe if he could have Isis take him on a date to teach him about being a coordinator in the future. Speaking of, Isis seemed to take off like a rocket as she burst forth with excitement over coordinating. Just as he expected.
Unfortunately, the conversation started to go down like a sinking ship, and Leon couldn't react fast enough to stop Isis from sliding down that slippery slope. He knew exactly where her thoughts were going. Ebony... Leon frowned, feeling in ache in his chest as he recalled how what he did for Ebony wasn't enough to save her, and how sad Isis was. Leon moved as Dumuzi did, though while the girl had hugged Isis to try and comfort her, Leon knelt before the shrine beside Isis, picking up a pen and getting a few slips of paper. I wish Isis would smile more he wrote on one of the slips, making sure that Isis would see the things he was writing. I wish Isis would laugh more. I wish Isis will be happier. I wish Isis will go surfing with Kai and I. I wish Isis will stay with me longer. I wish I could make Isis the happiest woman. Leon wrote out each wish, moving them over towards her so that she could see them all. I wish for Ebony to be at peace. The dark haired male wrote out the last wish, knowing that it was a wish he was sure they could agree on. "Come on now... no crying on our first date, Isis." Leon said in a teasing, yet soft manner. He offered a small smile to her.

✿ ❀ Isis was more than happy to exchange numbers with Dumuzi, and was even happy to exchange numbers with Theo if he wanted to. She chattered on about her job and was glad that she could recommend the magazine for tips and information, like certain berries that help increased a pokemon's specific attributes. It seemed that her opinion on battles had inspired Dumuzi to maybe give battling another try once she had gotten a few ribbons under her belt. Even if it was going to be a secondary hobby sort of thing, Isis was proud of her keeping her chin up. "That's the spirit~" Isis nodded.
However, as Isis continued talking about battles and pokemon, she was reminded of the reason she had started her journey, for protection, and once that train of thought had started, there was no stopping it from heading to it's inevitable destination; Ebony. The memories hit her so hard and fast that she had to excuse herself from the group to try and gather her bearings without making anyone worry about her, but it was a bit late for that. As she frantically scrawled her wishes for Ebony's return on the little slips of paper, Isis stiffened with eyes wide as she felt Dumuzi gently lay on her back and apologize. After that, all the pent up emotions she'd been trying so hard to bottle up again started to overflow. She sobbed and covered her face in embarrassment, but it felt good to let go and cry, and she was silently thankful for Dumuzi just sympathizing and trying to understand even though Isis knew the poor girl had no idea what was going on.
Leon knew though, and Isis felt him kneel beside her. It seemed Nimah was concerned as well, cuddling close and climbing up onto her legs. Isis couldn't help but pull the Sylveon into her arms and cuddle her close as a source of comfort. Something so cute and soft and cuddly had to help her feel better, right? Isis then noticed Leon was writing some things of his own and passing them to her, so she wiped her eyes on the sleeve of her yukata to get a better, less blurry look at one of the slips.
I wish Isis would laugh more.
Isis blinked, having expected some silent message asking what was going on or if she was okay, like passing a note in school. She hadn't expected this, but soon he was passing her another one. I wish Isis will be happier. Isis gave a halfhearted but somewhat confused laugh, wondering what Leon was up to. More notes were passed with silly wishes like wanting her to go surfing with him, or cute wishes like staying with him longer, past this date, sincere like wishing he could make her the happiest woman. She giggled through the tears and sniffled, leaning against Leon affectionately as he wrote his last wish, for Ebony to be at peace. She looked over the slip with a somber smile, chuckling sadly as he insisted that she couldn't cry on their first date.
Theo was quite confused as well, asking what was wrong and if she was alright. Isis sniffed and nodded. "Yes, I'm sorry... Thank you all." She touched the slip of paper with Leon's wish for Ebony. "My pokemon.... She died recently, trying to protect me... It's still.... Hard to think about." Isis said quietly, a few more tars slipping down her cheeks. She could still see the whirlwind of glass and shrapnel circling around them in that horrid old mansion, Ebony's warm leathery wings enveloping her when all hell broke loose.... If she had known then how badly the reptilian's body had been punctured... Well no, even knowing wouldn't have saved her. It wasn't like she could have escaped the mansion any faster than she did, and the first action she had taken once she was free was to run to a pokemon center, but by then it had already been far too late.
She looked to Leon. "Help me hang this up...." She insisted quietly, taking the slip of paper in her hands and moving carefully to stand. It could be a wish for them both. She knew how guilty Leon probably still felt because he couldn't help Ebony. Her wounds were just too great, but Isis knew he had been able to ease her pain by dressing her wounds. It was more than she could have ever asked of him, and she knew Ebony had appreciated it too. She just wished that Ebony had died somewhere more peaceful, much less chaotic and dangerous as the mansion had been. She wished a lot of things had been different, not that she could change them. It still was kind of ironic, to have the ability to go back in time and save her, and yet neither Atona nor Hinata would allow it. Seeing that Dumuzi was busy trying to comfort Isis, Hinata floated away and began fixing up the trees that Delta had smashed before moving to the wishing tree, circling slowly to find a good place for their strip of paper. It was the least she could do after all. ✿ ❀

Results Dumuzi tried once more with her favorite game, getting 5 tickets out of the deal! Not bad, not bad at all.
Dumuzi stayed where she was quietly as she let Isis get the pain out. A very soft and gentle smile touched her lips in a way, not because of Isis’ pain and suffering, but because of the healing that she could hear through those tears that now flowed without restraint. It was always hard to keep pain bottled up inside, Dumuzi knew that all too well, it may have been a different kind of pain then what Isis was feeling, but it was still just as real and just as tangible, it would eat away at you and devour the person that you were. It could cage you and make you feel as though you are utterly and inescapably alone in the world when you have so many people you could surround yourself with and reach out to. Dumuzi was too young to understand that, and honestly – it was still something that she struggled with from time to time. It was why she retreated into her own world, imagined that she was Feya and projected her fantasies onto paper whenever she got the chance. Dumuzi was raised to be one of those boys who just sucked it up and moved on, ‘Men don’t do this,’ ‘Real Men don’t cry’ and other such bilge. Dumuzi learned on her own that emotions were a way of expression and eventually came to the realization that it was alright to have them, and that they could even make you feel better. Sure, it may not solve your problems, but sometimes you just needed to allow raw emotion to take over and get the sting out of the situation before you could truly move on. She still may have had a hard time expressing them, but she was a little wiser for having learned that lesson. Dumuzi closed her eyes and let her new friend expel the pressure that had built up to this. Unlike Leon and perhaps Theo, she didn’t see anything wrong with letting Isis cry. Tears could bring healing.
Niamh was more than happy to be cuddled and welcomed the rest of herself up onto the lap of the upset Isis, her soft fur was snuggled into and the little fairy pokemon twisted her head to the side to run a pebbly tongue across Isis’ cheek a couple of times before she sat and cuddled into her needing embrace. Dumuzi wondered if Isis would be able to feel the warm that Niamh had, it was the warmth that Dumuzi assumed that only a fairy type could bring. Maybe that was just her though, her love of the Fairies may have made her perceptions a little bias when it came to the comfort of the pokemon. Still, she hoped that Isis found that warmth that Dumuzi could feel whenever she was around her fairy types.
Dumuzi listened to the tragedy that was still raw in the mind of her friend and her eyes softened at her brief tale about what had happened. It must have been so hard on her to see her pokemon pass like that, she couldn’t imagine how she would feel if it happened to her with one –any one- of her pokemon. She understood all too well the bonds that you could forge with them and she could only imagine how much more painful that could be to lose a friend in that manner. She knew that everything had a life cycle, she knew that one day she would have to mourn the deaths of her pokemon, but she hoped that was when they were both old and time had run its course. She couldn’t imagine the feelings of guilt that would accompany the loss of your friend as they did their best to protect you from something that could have cost you your life. On the other hand, she could see herself doing it for her pokemon, and in turn, she could also see them doing it for her. When you had someone who was precious to you, you wanted to protect them with everything you had. Bonds were strange that way, it could be what pushed you to that point of wanting to live for your friends, but hypocritically, be willing to give your lives for them as well.
Dumuzi let Isis get up, though she sat there and looked on as Leon and Hinata accompanied her to the tree. It was encouraging for her to see, as Isis took the first steps towards healing with that slip of paper that Leon had wrote for them as a single wish from two hearts. She remained silent but looked up at the glorious wish tree that had spread its arms over the nearby area. She gave a soft smile at all the wishes of the people that had come here. She could only imagine what most of them read: Probably some for good fortunes, probably some for financial gains or good harvests… maybe even some for more innocent, though selfish gain. It was funny, she had only put one word down on her paper, an innocent wish that she hoped would come true for herself but at the same time could be given to so many other people. One word that she hoped could extend to Isis and Leon, Theo and Ashton, all her pokemon and family. Her eyes somehow found her strip of paper and her smile grew a little more with its gentle serenity. ’Happiness’ She looked over at Niamh before reaching out and petting her friend. Yes, she hoped that that wish could cover her and all those around her if she was able to attract Jirachi to it. It was a wish that anyone who worked hard enough could achieve with a little luck and some patience, she knew that, but there was just something comforting about having it out there and being wished for. Dumzui eventually found her way to her feet again, brushing off the dirt the hung loosely on her yukata and moving to join Leon and Isis near the base of the tree as Hinata found a good place to hang the wish. She stood there in her continued silence and place a hand on Isis’ shoulder.

Theo suddenly grew serious when he learned Isis had lost a Pokémon recently. He knew what could be said here. Question was, should he? Did Isis already have that realization? Would it help at all? He wasn't sure. So, the best thing to do was stay quiet on the thought until he figured it out."I can sort of understand what you're going through. So....If you need anything, let me know. I'll try helping the best I can."Theo offered a sympathetic yet assuring smile to Isis. All she really needed was time to recover from the loss. When Isis had started to sob, Leon had to blink more often to keep himself from tearing up. Luckily, it didn't last too long. Between Dumuzi's comforting hug, Niamh's cuddling, and his note wishes, Isis eventually eased up on her crying. He couldn't help but smile a bit as she leaned against him. Meanwhile, Kai had crawled over on his belly to see if Isis was going to be alright.
Leon was quiet when Isis gave the two youths the short story. Though he could have added to it, he felt it would be unnecessary. For one, he didn't want to draw out the sadness and possibly keep Isis thinking about it. Another thing; Dumuzi and Theo didn't need to know details. It would be unfair to put that on them. Tanabata was supposed to be fun, and full of making new and exciting memories. Not dwelling on something as depressing as losing a special friend, or being unable to save a wounded pokemon. He snapped out of his thoughts as he heard her ask for help hanging that last wish he wrote up.
After getting to his feet, Leon offered Isis help to stand before bending to collect the wishes he made for her, shoving them in his pocket. Isis had the wish they were going to hang and well... though he really meant all those wishes, he wasn't going to go hang them all. "Alright. I think there should be space around here for this wish." Leon said, offering a hand to Isis before walking around the tree with her. It didn't take too long to find an opening to tie the wish up to the tree. It was just a bit out of reach, so without warning, Leon scooped up Isis so that she can reach the branch.
"You know... I think we should head over to Two island next." Leon commented, lowering Isis in his arms once the wish was tied. He held her bridal style now, smiling at her, then looking towards the younger trainers. "It'll cheer us all up, I'm sure. I've been to a few dance parties on two island before. They throw some really good ones." he told the group with a grin as he carried Isis away from the tree. "What do you all think? Feeling up to some dancing?" he asked them, then looked down to Isis to see what she thought. Kai got up to walk behind his trainer, tail swaying a bit.

Eventually Isis stood up with Leon's slip of paper for Ebony and asked him to help her hang it on the tree, smiling a bit as Leon took his other wishes and put them in his pocket. She took his hand as he offered it, looking over the tree for an open space. Thankfully Hinata helped, indicating a free branch they could use, but it was a bit out of reach. Isis would have gotten the pole by the desk, but suddenly Leon scooped her up and held her hight. "Eep...!" Isis squeaked, but quickly laughed it off, hanging the slip of paper.
Once the paper was affixed, Leon let her down, not all the way though, just enough to carry her in his arms. Isis wouldn't complain though, instead she listened as Leon suggested they move to Two Island next, since it could cheer them up with some fun dancing that the island was apparently known for, at least according to Leon. "Yeah... That sounds like fun~" Isis nodded, trying to be enthusiastic. She didn't exactly feel like dancing for joy right now but she knew Leon was just trying to lift the mood, and Isis certainly didn't want to wallow in these heavy feelings during something like a Tanabata festival. Plus a dance party did sound fun, it might be just the fun time she needed. She returned Hinata and Atona for now. Hinata didn't need any more exposing and Atona, well Isis knew how seasick he could get, so if they were about to switch islands it was probably best he go back into his pokeball. ✿ ❀

A dance party? Dumuzi tilted her head ever so slightly as she pondered the invitation over. Dumuzi had never been one to put herself into a spot light or make a bit of a fool out of herself in front of so many people. She wouldn’t deny that she wasn’t the greatest dancer and she doubted that that ability would be enhanced with the geta that she was wearing (not to mention the Yukata, that might be awkward to have to dance in). Dumuzi would never want to be in a large group like that, he was far too shy for that sort of thing and she hated the idea of making a fool out of herself. Dumuzi was just the kind of person who would want to make sure that she could do things right before doing them so that she wasn’t laughed at or ridiculed. Dumuzi was something of a socially awkward ugly duckling like that, always afraid to try new things and bring any sort of embarrassment upon ones self.
Dumuzi would never do that. But Feya would.
Feya was an adventurous soul, she was the type of person to have fun regardless of who was watching and what they thought of her. As long as nobody was getting her, she could always laugh along with them if she did something silly or foolish. Feya had a lot of confidence within herself that Dumuzi only wished that he could possess. When Dumuzi conjured his alter-ego Feya a long time ago so that he could have some means of living out a life that he had always wanted. But… wasn’t that what Dumuzi was doing right now? Wasn’t he able to break out of the shell that he forced himself into now that he had dawned this more feminine attire? Dumuzi was just a name, she could swap it out for Feya if she ever wanted to feel brave and just be a little more wild with herself. She almost wished she had given the name ‘Feya’ to Isis and Leon instead of her real name. Oh well, she supposed it was too late now, maybe she could introduce the idea again if she ever met the after this. She did plan to use it as her contest stage name anyway, and if Isis was really into that then she would in re-introduced to Dumuzi’s other self.
She was honestly at two minds about it and wasn’t sure what she would prefer. On one hand, she really liked Leon and Isis and would love to spend more time with them, even if it was just to make sure that she was okay after what happened. On the other hand though, Isis and Leon were on a date… Hmm, honestly it was a hard call for her. Dumuzi looked from Isis to Leon and then to Theo. ”What do you think, Theo? Want to hang around with them a little longer and get your groove on?” She asked with a half tease, sure they had more or less just came from the second island, but as far as she knew there was nothing really going on at the other islands that could match a dance party or anything like that. Maybe if Theo had a preference then they would go off that, if he couldn’t bring himself to decide either, then they could always catch up with them later if they wanted.

Leon did a bit of a spin, still holding Isis. "It's going to be sooo muuuuch fuuuuun~" he grinned, then started to walk back towards the town. They'd have to get to the docks. He looked down to Isis with a goofy look on his face. "You think i'm a dork now, wait till you see my on the dance floor!" he told her. Kai was following along, tail swaying as he walked.
Leon looked back towards Dumuzi and Theo to see if they were coming or not. The girl seemed rather interested, but Theo didn't seem to want to go. "We really don't mind you two coming with. The more, the merrier! We can just get back to date stuff when Isis is happier. Which means you wouldn't be intruding, if that's what has you concerned." Leon said to them, walking at a slow enough pace for them to follow if they wished. With another twirl, he set Isis down, but still held her hand in his after she was on her own two feet. From there, they set off to the docks, and once Isis was ready, and when the two youths made up their minds, Leon lead the way onto a boat heading for two island.
