 Korvain found some orange-yellow nail polish and began to carefully paint Katie's toenails. "Actually, there is a word that rhymes with orange." said Korvain with an amused grin "Sporange... If you ever study biology, it's a reproductive organ found on most plants and fungi. Orange trees have them too, so there is such a thing as an orange sporange."
Korvain felt his good fade as Katie started to talk about death again. "I promise you I will." said Korvain, gazing solemnly into her eyes. "And if I die, I would like to be buried in a shallow grave in the forest with no embalming and no casket. I want a fruit-bearing tree to be planted over me. As my body decays, the growing tree will absorb my essence, and so will all the animals that eat the fruit. This way, my body will truly be returned to nature." he then paused "Wait... why are we talking about this? We both have our whole lives ahead of us, Katie - we should be enjoying ourselves, rather than brooding on the subject of death."

Katie smiled as he told her about the fungus word that rhymed with orange. Then the dread of death. What was so bad about it anyway? "You're a nature freak then? Haha! Nice." She watched as Korvain painted her toes. Somehow the act of death and the way he looked being to gentle while painting was off-putting. "You're an elf. Were your parents elves too? Like, explain it to me." Katie leaned forward and turned off the water. The tub was filled halfway with water because she sat on the drain, the water wasn't as hot as it was when it came down, but it would be comforting for a while. At least until Korvain was finished.

"Yes, my parents were elves as well." explained Korvain, smiling at Katie after he finished painting her toenails. "I come from the Ghoul Realm - it's a dark, beautiful, and ancient place filled with magic, where the line between life and death is blurred and unclear. I'll have to take you there sometime - I think you would like it." He then gently took Katie's hand "Would you like me to paint your fingernails too?"

Katie nodded to him about her fingernails. "But paint them black." She wasn't really surprised about the other world thing. She used a ouji board once and s**t happened. It made her a little paranoid for a while, but she soon got over herself and ignored the floating objects.
"Yeah, sure. Maybe this weekend or something." She looked up at the ceiling and noticed a spider crawling around on it. Gross. Why'd they have to be creepy and crawly and s**t? "What if spiders.. Over time evolved and grew wings? So they were, like, flying spiders." Katie cringed at the thought and tossed over onto her side.

Korvain began to paint Katie's nails black like she wanted him to. It was his favorite color, after all - and it looked good on her. When she mentioned the flying spiders, he cringed as well. "That would truly be terrifying." he admitted "I've never cared for spiders myself, I've had far too many bad experiences with them. As a child, I was nearly killed by a poisonous one." he then finished painting her nails "Oh... and I'm sorry about your room. Once we're done here I'll clean it up for you."

Katie smiled a bit. "Yeah, then you should go." When he finished her nails she stood up and ran her fingers through her hair. It took forever to grow it long like it was, but now it was gone. Oh well.
She took off her wet clothes and hung them on the curtain rod to dry, then wrapped herself in a towel. Katie didn't allow her nails enough time to dry and ruined most of them. She made note to keep them away from Korvain's eyes so he wouldn't notice.
Katie stepped on the broken door and went to the dresser, grabbing some clothes and putting them on. Another black tank top and silky basketball short.

"I'd actually like to spend some more time with you, if you don't mind... I just can't get enough of you, Katie." said Vincent softly, as he began picking up posters and putting them back onto the wall. "Are you feeling up to going somewhere?"

Katie crossed her arms and watched as he picked up the room. "I do mind. You're invading my space. I've seen enough of you today. Please leave when you're done." She asked nicely, something she rarely did.
Katie marched over to her bed and plopped down on it, she grabbed her phone and examined the screen. No new messages. Because no one wondered where she was or cared. She made it look as though she was texting someone and sighed. "Sorry, to everyone who doesn't give a ******** about me. I'm not coming to school today or the next day. Probably not the next either. Don't worry, I'm not dead... Yet." She typed up and saved to her drafts.

Korvain let out a sigh... "Well, would you like to meet again tomorrow then? You know, I've never met anyone quite like you, and I'd love to get to know you more. I'm sorry if I'm bothering you, but I simply can't resist you." he began to mount the door back into it's frame, hoping that Katie would agree to see him again.

Katie looked over at him. She debated it for a moment then gave in. "Yeah, sure. After your classes are over." Katie yawned and covered up with one of her fuzzy blankets. She turned her back to Korvain and tried to go to sleep.

Before leaving the room, Korvain bent down and gave Katie a kiss on the cheek. "I love you, Katie... Please, take care - and don't cut yourself anymore. I'll meet you back here tomorrow afternoon."

The next day, Korvain arrived at the door to Katie's room. He was holding a beautiful bouquet of flowers. He had picked them himself in the garden and arranged them nicely, adding a nice bow with Katie's name written on it as a finishing touch. He knocked on the door, waiting for Katie to answer.

Katie went to the door and opened it. She smiled when she saw the love of her life standing in the doorway. "Ah! Hello, my love!" She went to him and gave him a big hug. Katie smiled cheerfully as she twirled around in the dark purple dress she had on. "It's so nice to see you. I was lonely all day!" Katie couldn't help but notice the flowers he was holding. They looked so pretty. Did he go all the way to a store to get them?

Korvain was happy to see that Katie seemed to be in a much better mood than she was yesterday... and she looked stunning too. As she hugged him, Korvain pulled her into his arms as well, kissing her passionately upon the lips. "I was lonely too..." he said softly "I dreamed about you last night, and you were on my mind all day." he then handed the flowers to Katie "I picked these for you, my love..."

Katie kissed him back and smiled. Her breath didn't taste like tobacco like it had the other night. Katie took the flowers and smelled them, they were glorious. "Oh, I love them! Thank you!" She leaned up and kissed him on the cheek. She ran inside and washed out a glass jar, placing the flowers into it and setting it on her desk, opening the curtain a bit.
She returned to Korvain with a black jacket. "Alright. Should we go then?" She smiled at him, putting her phone into her bra along with a couple of dollars. Katie was too active to carry a purse or something like a wallet.

Korvain took Katie's hand and began walking with her. "We could go to the Star Restaurant, in Starlite Town. I've been there a few times myself, and I must say it is pretty good. Unless, of course, there is something else you wanted to do?" he then smiled at her, giving her a kiss on the cheek.
