Howecho Echo smiled softly when she nodded. He heard her tapping on the notebook and guessed she still wanted to know why he said he loved her. "I don't really know how to make you understand why I said that I love you. It's a new feeling for me." He lightly scratched the back of his head with a sheepish grin on his face, not knowing how to answer her question. "I just know that I don't like seeing you hurt in anyway."

She understood what he meant about it being a new feeling, but this still wasn't the answer she hoped for. She just nodded slowly to show she understood him, then looked around. She could still feel some heat in her cheeks, which was a sure sign she was still blushing.. Honestly, she was taking this surprisingly well. She wasn't panicking or anything. In fact, she was feeling very calm.. But once again, she was wishing she could talk properly. It would be so much easier.. She ducked her head and looked down at her lap when he said he didn't like seeing her hurt.. For some reason, that made her slightly happier than usual. HowechoEcho smiled weakly, glad she understood him but knowing she wanted a better answer then what he gave her. He slowly reached over to her to lightly brush a finger over her blushing cheeks. "I wish you could talk. I'd be easier then you having to write what you want to say." he pulled back as she looked down smiling softly but not knowing what to say or do.

Well, it wasn't like people always start saying that they love her. It wasn't really a normal thing. She only nodded slightly in agreement with his words, feeling a flicker of surprise that they echoed her thoughts almost perfectly. She picked up the notebook again and wrote, "A lot of things would be easier if I could speak, but I probably would never stop talking." She held it out to him and smiled slightly. It was a poor attempt at a joke, but at least it was an attempt. This was true though. She was so quiet only because she couldn't speak. HowechoEcho smiled softly as she tried to hide her face. He read her writing as the smile grew. "Then I'd never get tired of listening to you. Oh, I might find a way to get you to stop talking even for a few minutes." He leaned closer, lightly brushing his lips over her forehead, and whispered "I think your voice would be cute."

She was startled to hear that he wouldn't get tired of listening to her. She tilted her head slightly, then quickly started writing again. "Surely, after a while you would." She blinked several times as he said he might find a way to make her stop crying. She looked at him quizzically, then her eyes grew wide and her face turned red as he kissed her forehead. She looked down shyly and pushed her index fingers together. Did he really think that? She wasn't sure why, but this made her happy too. HowechoEcho's smile grew as he saw Jinthel smiling. He chuckled at what she wrote. "Maybe." He watched her quietly after he kissed her forehead and whispered. "That's cute."

That would probably bring to mind the way a disgruntled kitten looks. Harmless, but still annoyed. She cringed a little when he said something was cute again and quickly put her hands in her lap, her cheeks still very much red. She looked down for a minute, trying desperately to think of something to write or do that wouldn't give him a chance to make her feel any more embarrassed.. She glanced around for inspiration and her gaze landed on their stuff.. Oh right, he had been pretty much carrying those bags around all day. She quickly wrote in the notebook and held it out for him to read the one word she had written. "Dorms!" HowechoEcho stopped chuckling when she gave him an annoyed look. "You look cute when your annoyed." He gently patted her cheek and continued "But I don't want you too annoyed so I'll stop." He smiled softly when he saw her stop pressing her index fingers together. He watched her quietly wondering what she was looking for as she was looking around. He quickly read what she wrote and chuckled softly. "Then lets go find them." He handed her umbrella to her and grabbed the bags; standing up he also grabbed the candle. "would you like to go first or should I?"

She was trying to not be embarrassed now, but it seemed like that was going to be hard to do. She picked up the notebook after he gave her her umbrella. She held it in her right hand while balancing the umbrella in the crook of her left arm.. She did that a lot, honestly, so it was easy. She pouted a little when he picked up all the bags, then stood up and held her left hand out for the candle. At least she could carry that, right? She gestured to herself to indicate she wanted to go first. For once, she was feeling some measure of confidence that she wasn't about to mess something up.. Surely she could walk up some stairs right? Even if she had tripped and fallen down them when she had tried earlier.. But that time she had been scared and in the dark.. And running. She looked at them for a moment, then glanced back at Echo before starting to walk up them. Now that she could see, it was unlikely that she would go tripping. She was also being careful about where she put her feet. That fall had hurt and she had been lucky not to get injured from it. So she climbed up the steps, taking much more care this time to avoid slipping. Seeing no more need for the candle, she softly blew it out, then let the door close after he had left the basement. Once it had closed, she looked around, wondering which way they should go to get to the dorms.. She hadn't really been paying much attention to where she went, so she wasn't sure where to go. HowechoEcho held his hand out to Jinthel. "I think I know where to go." He waited for her before walking down the hall, around a few corners, and finally through a set of doors. {Exit to entrance}
