Kaia flinched in sympathy when she saw the Captain crack her head on the beam. Even though parts of her were bio-tech, she could still feel pain and that looked like it had hurt. Maybe not as much as when you cracked your shin on a low table but that had sounded loud enough to cause a bruise and a slight headache.

Instantly feeling guilty, she continued to vacuum without looking at what she was doing, her eyes on Valkia while she spoke an apology. “Oh! I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to get in the way. I’ll go and start over in the far corner and work my way back. And…thank you…it does look delicious”

Kaia flashed an awkward grin, her mouth beginning to water at the sight of the sweet frosting and fluffy, moist cake layers that was offered to her to try some. Her hormones practically shoved her towards the serving tray, instigating a strong craving for the food. “I…I guess I can take a small moment to have some before cleaning up. Then I can work it off an- wahhh!” Taking a few steps, she'd felt something cordlike trip her up and promptly tumbled to the ground. She landed on her side, one hand flying out to brace against impact and the other arm protectively cradling her belly.

Gathering herself after a moment, Kaia slowly sat up and the hoover, which had zipped off across the room, stopped on its own and shut down.

“Aw, not again…I can’t believe I tripped over my own tail!” she mumbled, half exasperated and half embarrassed. The cyber maid was normally never clumsy but ever since she fell pregnant, it had become a part of daily life. Along with forgetfulness and mood swings, she was fairly accident-prone.

Kaia looked up at the approaching person and blushed. She had been going to get up in a moment, really. She was just taking a little break and trying to think of what else to do while she was down here. Oh okay, she was having trouble. It was hard to move around with the extra weight.

She reached up to take the offered hand, giggling softly at how ridiculous she must have looked.

"Ah, thank you. Sorry you had to see that. I'm a little accident prone these days. I'm fine though" she explained, trying not to tug too hard on his arm as she stood up again, rubbing her baby bump. Her sensors told her the child was now awakened from sleep, his heart rate increased somewhat and little kicks and movements registering. The feedback she received also told her he was feeling hungry.

"Forgive me, I've seen you around the ship but I cannot recall your name. You're one of the fighter pilots on the Arc, are you not?" she questioned Zanatos, walking over to the cake and picking up a plate. "Would you like some? I can't help myself" Kaia chuckled, being honest. She glanced back towards Captain Valkia, hoping she was okay.

Kimiko stayed quiet off to the side, half listening to the pilot and the mechanic. She levitated a slice of cake to her side with a simple command and took a bite. Almost squealing that it was a rush of pure chocolate into her mouth, the psioneko simply smiled and enjoyed it, her kittens liking it too they kicked her in response.

It was when one of the ships maids came in and stumbled down she nearly lept into action. Gladly that Zanato's was ,helping her, she relaxed. Kaia probably the most pregnant of all the women in the room besides stella, well for a human that is, seemed almost ready.

She took one second and sliced two slices for them both.

"Here Kaia, you don't need to be serving everyone all the time, It may be against your programming but... here" she said handing it to her and Zanatos with her bionic arms.

"I guess I'll have some cake then." Zanatos said with a slight laugh as he took the offered cake from the pregnant bionic psioneko. This was an interesting situation, never had he been in a room with so many pregnant women, and there all very cute... except the captain... well she can cute in her own way. And lets not forget Sarah, the non pregnant engineer in the room.

Zanatos took a bite of the chocolate cake, and he was surprised at how much chocolate was already packed into that tiny bite. He could have sworn that he was eating a whole chocolate store with that bite alone. "Now that you mention it, there are a lot of people participating." Zanatos couldn't but smile at Sarah after noticing the grease smear on her face. "Um Sarah? You've got something on your face."

Orion had once returned to the cafeteria. Since everyone had enjoyed the cake he was given a tip, which was rather odd because the Human didn't think he would get paid at all. Finding that he wasn't needed in the kitchen, Orion was forced to clean the cafeteria.

With a sigh he began to quietly clean, and since the place was now empty, he occasionally stared out at the empty tables sadly. The lunch rush had ended and now everyone was back to their jobs. Left to the cleaning, the staff in the kitchen closed the door and paid no heed to him.

This is how he spent most of his days..alone. Orion was starting to regret coming to this place. At first he was surprised and honored to be one of the Human's chosen, but now..he wondered why he really was around. Maybe he should just see if he could take a shuttle home? Well then again, it was carnage down below, so that probably wasn't a good idea.

The Human felt lonely and out of place. He hated feeling new, yet what could he do? Orion never thought he would be picked on because he was Human. Wasn't this place supposed to unite all of the races peacefully or something?

"What an interesting name. It sounds very unique" Kaia nodded, her vision appearing to blur for a couple of seconds as something blipped and whirred quietly from within. She'd recorded the information into her database.

"Ah, I don't think we've ever really talked before now. I'm Kaia, one of the serving maids," she introduced, accompanying it with a somewhat restricted bow, plate in hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you Mr Mathers"

Compared to his, her name was simple, easy to remember and perhaps a little plain, like the maid herself. Kaia wasn't particularly attractive, just a normal face that would blend in anywhere. If it weren't for the electric cord and the metallic pink and white ears, you could almost think of her as a human.

"As you wish" She accepted his refusal of the sweet snack with another nod, though just as she was about to serve herself a piece, another familiar face appeared.

Kaia took the offered plate of cake with some surprise as the girl with the bionic arms handed it to her, along with an odd comment. Serving people was the maid's job; she didn't usually expect to be served by others, especially not those of higher rank.

"Thanks, you really don't have to. I enjoy serving people. That's my job" she giggled, Kaia smiled, unsure what to think, although she knew the gesture was well-intentioned. Taking a small dessert fork, she dug into the rich moist cake with relish, her tail squirming behind her in a display of pleasure.

"Mmm!" The cyber human let out an involuntary noise of enjoyment, covering her mouth as she licked chocolate frosting from her lips. This is heavenly!

She couldn't help laughing at the look on Zanatos' face as he gave in and tried some of it too. "It's good, isn't it? Do you know who made it? We should definitely thank whoever did so!"

You never know, if they thanked the creator of this delightful cake, they might just bake another one like it in future. Whoever it was, they'd quickly become a highly demanded cook on board for most of the group here, Kaia surmised.

She listened to the conversations pinging around but didn't join in as yet, too busy with her snack. It wasn't really her place to join in anyway.

She had to agree though; there were a lot of people partaking in the re-population programme. Kaia wasn't actually one of them yet she didn't tell people that unless they asked her about it. She was pregnant before she began working on the Arc.

Sarah let out a sigh when she show her boss hanging again. Before turning back to Zanatos. "Where?" She said rubbing her cheek as more grease got on her face. "Eh, it happens alot so I guess it will have to stay." She said not knowing if she got it or not.
