With a stretch, all of her bones clicked un-naturally. She could sleep on a hard floor without any problems, so there really was no need for the pillow. His gesture was kind though. So, she was the only friend he made there? Strange, Mappel seemed like a nice enough guy, maybe he was just shy or had trouble in social situations. Elvara on the otherhand had no real friends. Sure there was the old guy from the market, but he was a passing fling many years ago, a blood donor. If people knew of her existence she would've been hunted down like an animal, 'bring it on' she would say to herself.

"Don't be sorry, that meat was for you anyway." she smiled, picking herself up off the floor and rolling up the blanket to store it away for now. The spell worked already? That was brilliant news! "Wow, that was quick! You must of already known her for that to happen you know" Elvara smiled, closing the airing cupboard. Though, he did seem down about it "Or... did something bad happen?" it could've been anything. A person he didn't want to be with or he was being impatient, either way he seemed worried about it.

Looking at the table he had cooked for her too. Didn't he know vampires didn't eat because they didn't want to, but the fact that they couldn't. With a sigh she sat down to demonstrate her point. Elvara got a napkin ready as she chewed in the nicely cooked meat. Instantly her mouth screwed up like the taste was vile! After a few more chews, the vampire put the napkin to her mouth and spat something out, wiping her tongue too. It looked like the whole meat had turned to a horrible black power! "If I eat.. this happens... it turned to ash in my mouth. Sorry.." She did feel rather bad about it, he went to all that trouble.

Mappel blushed. "I know that, well maybe there's another way I could thank you then?" he said sitting down and beginning to eat. The elf was silent when she happily beamed about the spell. Part of him didn't have the heart to tell her, but lieing was just as bad.

"Yes I found her, unexpectedly too. She's been living in this city for a while..or so she's told me." he stared a bit nervously. "Which is alright, she's beautiful and everything. I-I'm just a little nervous to tell her, that's all I'm..not sure how she'll take the news that I'm her lover. Especially because she's another species in general. Which I don't mind either..uhhh..."

With a sigh he stood up and opened the paper holding it so she could see. Mappel couldn't take it anymore. "Elvara..you're...the one..." he said looking away a bit shyly.

"Don't worry about it. I don't do spells to get something in return, I just liked helping people when I was a human" She told Mappel, watching him tuck into the meat she caught just for his own needs. So the spell did actually work, that was great news for his love life. He wanted a family and was soon to have one if the spell revealed the name by now.

"Oh? She is beautiful and lives close. Those are to very good boxes to tick I must say" The vampire smiled with a fanged grin. She was really happy for him, her spell had worked but he was too nervous to even approach this pretty maiden. Though Elvara understood the whole 'other species' thing. Interracial couples were often put to death round here, not that he knew.

He pulled out the peice of paper for her to see. But why? Was there something wrong?.... it was then she saw her own name in black lettering. "What?....." was all she could say "That's... impossible.... was you thinking of me while saying those words? Because that might of messed it up" Elvara was clutching at straws to think of an excuse as to why it said her name.

Mappel shook his head. "No I wasn't thinking of you when I went through the spell." he replied sitting back down. Looking at her he nodded. "You don't even need to imply it. You're a vampire, I know. Though, I can't help but feel as if this was fate's hand."

The elf relaxed and crossed his arms. What if she was really the one? What then? Of course they would have to find a way to make her human again. Human again...

"How about this, I help find a way to make you Human again? Maybe back when you became a vampire there weren't many ways to cure or heal your condition. Though I might have an idea..Elvara."

Unscrolling a map he pointed to a really dense forest area. "The Spring of the Moon. It's supposed to be a legend, but that spring is said to break curses and restore life. It's at least worth a shot. I want to help you become human again, instead of dieing, how about we find another way to cure you? I care about you Elvara, not because of some note or spell, I just want to help you that's all." he smiled.

This was all too weird, perhaps she did the spell wrong. Though that was extremely rare for her, so it couldn't of been that. Thinking on it all made her brain hurt, so stopped. She would have to figure it out later, or get him to repeat the spell.

What was this? He wanted to help her be a human again? It made her laugh, alot. "Heal my condition, there is no point really. Turning me back into a human is a death sentence in itself right? I mean humans live to about eighty if you're really lucky" Elvara was putting on a tough front, not wanting to open up with how much she wanted to be a human again. She regretted everything...

Mappel gave her a serious look. "You want to die so badly huh? Well if not a human then an elf! I know of a way to turn someone into an elf as well. Though I would have to return home."

Looking at her the elf sighed. Getting up he placed a hand upon her shoulder and smiled down at her. "Elvara, life is full of choices. Stop resisting and be honest do you want to be alive again? No more having to worry about the sun, no more having to consume blood to live..I'm not going to force you but if the paper is correct then we were both meant to be. I don't mind it, you are very beautiful. It's your choice, I can leave your life and you remain having to tote around an umbrella everywhere or you take the chance to feel your heart beating again. I'll love you no matter what you decide." he said smiling down at her warmly.

She looked over to where his hand was, not pulling it off her and letting him do it. He was naming all the things she hated about her curse and he was right. Elves were mean't to be wise and full of knowledge, or so she was told. Though he thought of her was wise once, maybe that changed now. The beating heart comment made her instantly place a hand over her chest. It had been so long since she felt it beat, full of life and had forgotten the feeling.

"I'll have to think about it... I don't have a reason to right now.." Elvara told him honestly, which was the truth. She had nothing.

"Take your time..." he smiled. "I just hope I didn't say anything out of like Elvara. I really do care about you..honest. I can see potential in those eyes of yours."

Kissng her cheek, Mappel returned to his supper. Not saying anything he hoped she would comply. It would be her choice though, he wouldn't force his hand. Mappel wasn't like that, and deep down he kind of knew she was the one for him anyway.

It wasn't her charming magic either, the woman just seemed so beautiful to him. Especially when she smiled. He wondered what she would have been like as a human?

Her redy-green eyes fluttered at the kiss as she instantly touched at her cold cheek, where he placed the sweet little peck. No one had done that for many years. Sure she had made out with countless people but a cheek kiss was different, softer and gentle. In a daze, Elvara watched him continue with his meal he prepared and nudged her plate to him. "You can have my share if you want" she told him, sounding numb from the kiss.

So he was going to accept what that piece of paper said? They hadn't really discussed the matter of them apparently being meant for eachother, only the fact she wanted to be a human or anything un-cursed. "So.. what do you think we should do... about this paper" she asked him while pointing to her name written in black ink.
PostPosted: Fri May 03, 2013 6:33 pm

Mappel stopped, took a drink of water, then blushed. "I..actually wouldn't mind being your lover. I didn't really want to press it upon you because..you just never really seemed interested in it. I don't want to force someone into a relationship, though I bet you'd make a wonderful lover."

The elf wasn't sure what to say really. Elvara didn't seem to pleased with finding her name on the paper. "Well...what do you think about it? Would you like to become my lover? Or are there too many painfull memories in the way? Like I said I really don't want to force this. Maybe, the spell was also looking at your feelings as well?"

She sighed and put her head into her hands, trying to think of what to make of the whole situation they were both in. "I'm not good enough for you.. I'm a killer.. I've killed thousands of innocent people of the years and could easily snap on you if I'm hungry enough. That's why I push people away."

Though she was saying all this, it wasn't fair on him. The spell showed they were mean't for eachother and the magic never lied. So maybe this was mean't to be. "You want to know the truth?.... When you finished your food.. I'll tell you everything" There was no point in hiding it all now, sure he was a stranger really. But the spell was showing them fate.
PostPosted: Fri May 03, 2013 8:36 pm

"I know, but I'm still willing to give it a chance." he replied to her. Mappel continued to eat and managed to finish both plates. Ugh he was so full! Relaxing a bit he looked at her and blushed.

"I'm..not eating that much ever again...ugh..." he moaned a bit. After a little while of sitting there he slowly stood and took her hand. "Alright tell me, I'm all ears." he smiled at her warmly.

The elf could defend himself well if she ever snapped on him. Yet he felt she wouldn't because if it was truely meant to be then there had to be a reason right?

The raven haired woman watched him eat as his meal, even the smell of cooked meat turned to a horrible one in her nose. All down to her horrible curse she chose to have. "Well, if you end up my partner, you better get used to it. I like to feed people" she chuckled lightly to try and cheer her mood up.

Seeing he was finished, his warm hand felt nice in her cold one. "Come with me.." she explained stand up from the table with her hand still in his, she lead him to the living room. "You said that.. plant mentioned a family of mine. And I said it was a lie" the woman sighed, pulling up the rug to show two dark patches on the floor. It was blood that had been left there for over five hundred years. Being there so long gave it a dark brown, almost black colour stain in the floor boards. "When.. I was a human. I was married. We fell in love by accident, we weren't meant to fall in love. But we did. After being married for two years we were expecting our first child. He was so excited, I'd catch him just talking to my stomach in the middle of the night" her voice choked up just thinking about it. "I was about seven months along when someone broke into our home. And being a woman who knew magic and volunteered to check it out.. I saw two men.." Elvara moved away from him and stood by the door frame, almost peering round it like that same night. "they were going through all my spells and tearing the books because there were of no value to them. They just wanted money... but before I could do anything a third man who I didn't see came up from behind me... and put.. a knife to my back.." her hands were all shaking, thinking back on it. "He.. he told me not to scream.. but I could help but cry.. I was scared for my child. I couldn't shout for my husband or anything. I.. I didn't know what to do... so I just.. figured I'd try and use my magic" Elvara demonstrated by letting a purple flame wrap round her arm, it wasn't hurting her, just felt warm and tingly in a comforting way. "but.. he didn't take too kindly to my threat.. and stabbed me" a tear trickled down her face as she lifted up on side of her shirt to reveal a thick scar that started from her back and curled round her waist. It must of been nine inches long atleast. Elvara even had faint stretch marks, so it was clear her story was true. "My husband heard the whole thing and ran down to my aid.. but they got him too. I had to lay there, bleeding out and watch them kill my husband..." more tears poured out from her eyes as she spoke, it still felt raw and had been a long time since she cried about it all. "They eventually ran way with everything they wanted... but I was just left there..." she walked slowly, standing up top of a blood stain "I had to give birth to my little boy right here in this very spot.... he... he was too early so didn't survive long. I held him for those hours of his life.. the church wouldn't bury him, saying he wasn't worthy for not being baptised.. so I.. buried him under.. that oak tree...." with that she broke down, falling to her knees and making a blood curling scream, full of pain and sadness.
PostPosted: Fri May 10, 2013 7:02 pm

Mappel followed her into the living room and quietly listened to her story. Hanging his head a little in the shadows, he even started to cry. He understood what it meant to deeply love someone, of course it was mostly his family since he had never dated another woman, but if his family would have been killed it would have tore him apart. So she not only lost her husband, but her child as well? Seeing the scar he bit his lip.

When she finally finished and broke down on the floor Mappel quietly walked over to her and wrapped his warm arms around Elvara pulling her into a loving embrace. He didn't say anything, but just listened and allowed her tears and wailing to be let out. She probably needed it. Rubbing her cold shoulders he allowed a few of his tears to fall as well.

"No wonder you got upset when I started talking to the plants. I'm sorry Elvara..I'm so sorry that happened to you.." he said softly.

She couldn't stop crying, everything inside her was hurting like a horrible burn into her very being. Being held made her instantly cling on to Mappel with the wave of emotions in the air. "I .... I was stupid..." Elvara continued, mumbling into his shoulder. "Threw away my whole life... gave up my soul to become.. this.. this beast. I wanted every single man to pay for what happened to me! And.. being a vampire gave me that for a little while..."

With tears still in her eyes, she looked to him and could see he was crying too. But why? He wasn't the one who had to live though all this. "W-why are you crying?" Elvara asked, wiping a tear from his cheek.
