Well I know I havent posted here in a while....
Sorry to dissapoint, but these arent coloured--
-or based on events which even happened..
Nona, the "rags" girl, on the pirate ship, went for many many days, simply washing dishes, using the tiny droplet of water she kept in her locket, multiplying its size by attracting tiny pieces of moisture out of the night air in the desert. Jake, or "Ego" a boy who had been picked up, visted her once when he was trying to avoid eating a meal with the other pirates, and they got to know each other. Jake poured out his sadness about having killed a man on the captains orders, and Nona listened, eventually spilling out her own worries and showing him her secret water power.
Somehow the pirates got wind that Nona was a precious commodity, to have as a hostage, but her father actually wanted her gone! The pirates entered into a truce with her evil father, to get rid of the girl and make it look like a pirattical accident, in exchange for gold. Jake heard this, and rushed to her side, down into the kitchen.
That night, they ran overboard and off into the sanddunes...
...never to be heard of again.
Meanwhile, 'Monkey' had been discovered holding the key to the captives. She had planned on letting Ben "chubs" free, but they had both chickened out at the critical moment. Upon finding the girl with the key, and obviously suspecting a conspiracy on board, the pirates made an example of her.
They strung her across the rigging, forever to hang among the vines like the animal she was named after. She choked to death, but her corpse hung there the next day, and the next. Ben avoided being implicated, and was let out on deck to do his duties. To his horror and heartbreak, he saw his friend dangling there for days, vultures eventually picking her clean.
From then on, he vowed to never be afraid, as it had cost his dear friend her life.
And with the help of Vicktor "The fro" and Kaia "mouse" the three unlikely captives formulated a plan to defeat the pirates, once and for all. Vicktor helped Kaia build an amazing flying machine to scout the horizon, and signal the authorities, and he taught Ben how to swordfight. The plan went off without a hitch, and once the pirates were defeated, the three, and their ragtag band of captives sailed the desert in search of more adventures...
MEANWHILE, the teachers at Commonsky went searching in a small dinghy, skimming the desert sands for their students.
