Heavenly Snow She trotted away from the remains of the village back on their journey. Slowly she worked up into a comfortable trot, not having been ridden before, it was odd but she over came it.
"I will try and find a place for you to rest. But first...I shall cover some lost ground."
Her trot turned into a faster and faster pace, making sure that he did not fall off. Xalcorsh simply concentrated on staying on her, and staying awake. He trusted that she would find a safe place for him to recuperate, and understood her desire to put some ground between them and the town they had just been at.

Xan Thran Xalcorsh simply concentrated on staying on her, and staying awake. He trusted that she would find a safe place for him to recuperate, and understood her desire to put some ground between them and the town they had just been at. She was built almost like a tank, but being female she was still lithe. Her good muscle tone was from her father's side and she was quite thankful because the man on her back was unusually large and she was starting to feel it after a while. It was later in the day and they had covered their lost ground and plus some once she moved into a smooth sliding run. Her muscle moved and flexed in a fluid motion and anyone watching would stop to admire her beauty and grace.
But now she started to weave more and more, searching. She needed to find a cave, a place that was safe enough that they could both rest and soundly too. And then there it was, it was perfect. The cave was large enough for humans to fit, even one as large as him but not her. But she wasn't going to worry about that right now. Instead she lowered him to the ground gently. And checked to make sure the area was clear.
She was back to his side in no time and helped him to the cave. She sat down just outside the entrance and watched him in the waning light. The sunset hit her at an angle making her appear ethereal. She let out a soft sighing sound and got back up and vanished.

"Well, not how I expected my day to go. . .and I'm sure it's not what you expected either." He said, glancing at her, he was tired though, and he closed his eyes for a moment, then watched as she got up and left to do something, when she came back, he was asleep. The night passed peacefully, yet there was a strange uneasiness in the air, as if everything was waiting, anticipating that something would happen. It was a feeling similar to how it feels just before a large battle, and yet, there was nothing to be seen, heard, nor found out of the ordinary.

She returned later to the cave after night had fallen. But it wasn't as the strange white beast with golden markings. Summer green eyes watched as the man slept in the cave, a breeze picked up and ran it's invisible fingers through long dark red hair. On bare feet she picked her way into the cave and curled up on the floor before falling asleep herself. The day had been long and she use quite a lot of energy. A sigh escaped between her lips.
The sun broke through the sky early the next morning. A stray ray of light filtered into the cave. It played over the faces of it's sleeping occupants. She didn't stir, she had been exhausted and even the sun couldn't wake her so soon.

He frowned, trying to make sense of it, but eventually failed and looked around, it was then that he noticed a young woman laying near him and he froze, staring at her, a quick glance showed that Helki was not there. He slowly sat up, folded his arms, and stared at the woman, trying to figure out where she had come from, who she was, and where Helki could have gone.

Yesterday had been long and exhausting and she'd do almost anything to stay asleep. But between the sun and the feeling that someone was staring at her made her stir. She uncurled her body, stretched languidly and yawned. She opened her eyes and looked up at Xalcorsh and smiled.
"Good morning. Did you sleep alright? How are you feeling?" she spoke to him comfortably and with ease as if they had spent time together already.
She sat up and tucked her feet under her. She wore a simple dress of green over a rather curvy figure that was definitely bespoke of her maturity and no longer of the minority. Her hair was truly and appeared soft as silk and her complexion was flawless. She'd say it wasn't always that way of course.

"Good morning to you as well, I slept fine. . .but. . .I am wondering just who are you?" He tilted his head to the side, studying her intently, his deep green eyes seeming to penetrate and peer into her as if he was looking not just at her outward appearance, but deep inside, trying to ascertain who or what she was.

"Must you stare at me like that?" She sighs and stands up. "If you must know because you cannot see.....I am Helki. I couldn't fit in here while in my fur."
She stood at the entrance to the cave with her back to him and she glanced around outside. She was tense until she ascertained that the near vicinity was clear of potetial enemies.
"It's clear out."

He smiled apologetically and came out of the cave, looking up at the sky and seeming to ponder about something. "The wind blows west, the sun rises east, the clouds are high and distant, but weather should stay good today, if a little warm." He said almost to himself, he knew what he said was true, but he didn't know how he knew.

In her human form he easily dwarfed her but as she has learned, the smaller the creature the more fierce it seems. But this isn't always the case, especially with humanoids.
"I think it'd be in our best interest to eat before continuing on. I burned up a lot of my energy yesterday."
She lowered herself onto a rock and leaned against the cave wall. She was still tired but with some food she'd make it through the day just fine.
Her eyes moved to gaze up at him again and from this view, a bit of his profile. She looked away. "Do you really not know anything about yourself or what you need to do?"

He glanced down at her then looked out into the forest, thinking deeply on her question. "No. . .it is more as if that knowledge is hidden, or blocked. . .I cannot describe it exactly. . .All I know is that the key to my mystery is North of here. . .how far, or what we are looking for I cannot say, I only know the direction." He shrugged, then stretched slightly and looked down at her again. "I will be back with food, you rest."

She watched him walk away. How is he so sure that the answer lies north? What if it's something else. Her meeting with that strange old man seems to have faded a bit in her mind. She signed and closed her eyes for a little bit. Her lips parted slightly as she breathed softly and soon she fell back asleep. However, it was a light sleep.
