Buddy pulled on his teammate, Jenos', sleeve. "When is this done? I'm tired." A child of maybe eleven, things like these events still tuckered him out. He was shy to those he didn't know and took the time to know Jenos. Now he was showing signs of exhaustion as he had been training all night and half the morning.
Val stood there with utmost respect for the coordinators of the tournament and of the other competitors. lifting a sliced apple to his mouth, he nibbled thoughtfully at the words of Issac. Zombies? Metroids? Nazis? All small compared to the sizes of the Mechs. He was getting worked up over nothing, or if that, only to sell crap. He shook his head and ignored Michael.
Michael had an arm drapped around Tobias. "Hey, Angel buddy. Yea, look over there. Team Daf-Gungan. The chick with the ponytails. Hot, huh?" Always the womanizer, he was looking for game. No matter who, as long as she was pretty, he would try to hit on her. He never held any respect for these things and barely paid attention. Chuckling, he pantomimed groping the girl.
Val looked at Michael. "Dai-Gurren. If your gonna be fighting on our team, remember their team names." He sighed and hated Michael more when he groped air. He knew who he was talking about, too. He caught sight of the girl before they got to the stadium. She was gonna make fighting her hard.

A pair of young people, obviously a couple, stood stoic throughout the opening ceremony. The man's uniform and the woman's jumpsuit bore the insignia of the Black Knights. Behind them stood a majestic Knightmare Frame that looked just as deadly as the sword whose name was given it.
"Well, once this is over, I'm thinking of taking the Masamune and giving it a run around the grounds, just to see how it handles around here." The pilot, the young man, was concerned about the Knightmare's performance. He wanted to make sure that it was in top condition for the battles ahead. "Yamina, think you'd be able to help me fine tune it for that?"
Yamina, the woman in the jumpsuit, nodded and nuzzled closer to the pilot. "Of course, Yukiryu. After all, we can't have you or the Knightmare in bad shape from just a test run, can we?" She giggled brightly at her comment, causing Yukiryu to chuckle, as well.

A young girl stood by the Black Knight team, obviously being in that team. She didn't move or speak since (1) she was trying to back the Black Knight team look respectable and (2) no one was really talking to her. 'Ceremonies bore me...' she thought, giving no thought away with her blank facial expression, 'Can we just kick some a** now? My feet hurt, dammit...'

Yukiryu looked over at his teammate and saw she was really uptight. He gave her a playful punch on the shoulder. "Hey, Chiya, you really oughta loosen up, you know. You look tense enough to punch the first guy that walks by here."
Yamina nodded in agreement. "He's right, Chiya. you should relax a little. Yukiryu's been showing me how to meditate to keep myself both focused and relaxed. Maybe you should do the same?"

Alexia looked over at the couple. "I don't want to make the Black Knights look like idiots like those pervs are making their team look." she said, gesturing with her eyes to the two staring at the half-naked Dai-Gurren girl, "I would enjoy punching those two."

Yukiryu chuckled a little at Alexia's reaction to the pervy members of the other teams. "Honestly, I wouldn't blame you, but now isn't the time. We just need to wait until this whole thing is finished, then we can tune the Knightmares and give them a good test. After all, we need to be sure they're ready for the terrain we're gonna be dealing with."
Yamina detached herself from Yukiryu and approached Alexia. "Besides, you can hurt those guys' pride in other ways later on, right?"
Yukiryu chuckled heartily. "Geez, angel, remind me never to piss you off, huh?"

"One good blast of the Sonic Boomers, a couple slashes of my Knightmare sword, and BAM instant '********?' stew." Then, she blinked. "Well, maybe not stew... How about pizza?! CC would love pizza!" Then, she blinked again. "Well, it wouldn't really be pizza..."

Yukiryu laughed heartily, Yamina joining him. "Wow, Chiya. That was a good one! And here I was, thinking you didn't have a sense of humor today! As far as pizza goes, I told CC that I'd make some for all of us when we got back from the ceremony. I guess that test run will have to wait until after lunch."

Yukiryu laughed as Alexia was stumbling over her words. "Geez, Chiya, the way your talking, I'd almost think that you were drunk! Of course, I know better, but that's how it sounds. And my pizza's better than Pizza Hut's. It's made to order and served hot, fresh out of the oven!"
Yamina just stood next to Yukiryu, giggling lightly at the conversation. So lively and friendly... Just a couple of the many reasons I love him...

"Yuki Hut pizza!!... Cause saying Yukiyu is too long." Chiya grinned and then looked up at Orpheus. "I wanna listen to 'Machine Muzik'!!" she frowned, "I wish they had us in our mechs for this! Then, I could ignore eeeverything and listen to music!" The Black Knight smiled almost like a cat and giggled.

Draco nodded in agreement. "I know. I always have my portable music player when I go into battle, anyway, so I could be listening to it now, if I wanted to, but I have Yamina here to keep me occupied." He smiled at Yamina, who smiled back at him, then kissed him softly.

Chiya quieted and calmed down a little from feeling awkward and jealous. 'Lucky they have each other... Nyan, I have the Black Knights and Orpheus. I don't need love.' She just smiled and said, "Lucky duckies!"

Yukiryu chuckled a little. "What's the matter, Chiya? If I didn't know any better, I'd think you were a little jealous!" He took Yamina in his arms, dipped her as if they were dancing, then kissed her longer than the previous time, trying to see what Alexia's reaction would be. He was also trying to see what it would do to her aura.
